Adobe Reader on Server 2008 R2 and Server R2 2012 support

We are currently migrating the following versions of the software Adobe Reader on Server 2008 R2 and Server R2 2012.

Name Version
Adobe Reader 8.0.08.0.0
Adobe Reader 8.1.08.1.0
Adobe Reader 8.1.18.1.1
Adobe Reader 8.1.28.1.2
Adobe Reader 8.1.38.1.3
Adobe Reader 8.3.18.3.1

Can I find out if these are supported on the above operating systems? Responses from developers would be very appreciated.

Can I use Adobe Reader DC to insert bookmarks and hyperlinks in documents that have been scanned in pdf?

    Hello

I'm sorry, but you can't add bookmarks and hyperlinks to PDF using CD player. It isn't the apt software to carry out the Assembly.

You will need Acrobat to perform this function.

  • Adobe Reader has encountered a problem and needs to close

This error message occurs whenever I try to save an annotated pdf file. This has never taken place until I tried to download a trial of Adobe Acrobat Pro and then canceled the current download when I learned that Acrobat Pro is incompatible with Windows XP.  I reinstalled the latest Adobe Player and the error persists. I am running Windows XP with SP3. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this error? The error dialog box looks like this:

I found an answer that worked for me after exploring the following links:

I use Adobe Reader XI version 11.0.08. (I'm not using Adobe Reader DC since it is incompatible with Windows XP). I solved the problem on my computer by disabling the Mode protected in Adobe Reader XI setting. This parameter is accessible via the Edit menu in Adobe Reader XI:

Adobe Reader XI > edit > Preferences > (enhanced) protection > mode activate protected at startup.

Note that after unchecking the option of protected mode, Adobe Reader must be closed and restarted for the change to take effect.

I am now able to save a pdf file after adding highlights and comments (annotations).

Can anyone help. Before Adobe Reader XI, I have not had any problems. When opening XI he asks me to close because there is a problem. Then I get a message from Windows (XP) indicating that a "Patch" is missing.

    Uninstall the drive using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

and then download and reinstall from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

When you try to print (from today ' today) I get two windows of Adobe Reader that pop up 1) the document could not be printed. OK 2) there are no pages to print OK.  Any help is appreciated.

Try the following: open Adobe Reader | Change | Preferences

  • I have an annual subscription to Adobe export in PDF, but my computer died and I am setting up a new computer. I also need to download Adobe Reader or Acrobat to download and open the PDF files?

I export to PDF, but can't seem to download and open the PDF files. I need to download something?

    Hi Lisa,

To download PDF files, you have nothing else except a web browser.
However, to open the pdf file that is downloaded, you certainly need to download Acrobat Reader: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

  • Adobe Reader seems to have uninstalled and I can not install.

    Hi guys,.

I tried to open a PDF file yesterday and found that the player (v10) seems to have uninstalled itself (I don't him have not uninstalled since its last update and my flat mate says that it has not hit one of my programs). I downloaded the latest version of your website (v10.1.1) using firefox and found that when I tried to run the Setup file, nothing happens. Manager tasks indicates the running process, but it does not consume any CPU usage. I tried closing all other programs and the same thing happens. I left the laptop for some time see if she would go, but it's not. I am running windows vista.

    Thank you

    K

    You can try the following.

Remove all traces of drive (and not only the program) of your system using the Windows Installer Cleanup utility. It is no longer supported by Microsoft because it can produce problems with Win 7, but you can always download it from places like

    http://MajorGeeks.com/download.php?Det=4459

Then download the installer of the reader of

    http://get.Adobe.com/reader/Enterprise/

    and perform a clean installation.

  • Adobe Reader Protected Mode on the Terminal Server 2008 R2 server

We have recently updated to Adobe Reader XI 11.0.10, and now, when we open up Adobe Reader, it gives an error saying 'Adobe Reader cannot open protected mode due to incompatibility with your system configuration'.

There is a link that goes to the troubleshooting and protected Mode | Adobe Reader but this does not seem to refer to Server 2008 R2, and States:

Note that this list is not maintained regularly as protected Mode now works seamlessly in the background and it is unlikely users will experience problems.

So, given that we live the problems here, what is the best short option to disable the Protected Mode completely?

    Enable logging of protected Mode:

  • Is anyone able to run Adobe CS5 with El Capitan now? I've read about problems with Illustrator and photoshop, but these seem to be in 2015 Octobe5. She improved at all? I need to upgrade that I am running an old OS v but I need to run CS5.

I've read about problems with Illustrator and photoshop on EL Capitan, but these seem to be in October 2015. She improved at all? I need to upgrade that I am running an old OS v but I need to run CS5. Can not afford to go to CC. I have a Macbook Pro.

CS5 and 10.11 are not supported and will never be supported by Adobe or Apple.

However it works for some, more actually, but not all. There are sporadic problems with Illustrator, Photoshop seems to be the best. Do not expect an improvement and keep in mind that anyone from Adobe, Apple or anywhere else will fix it.

    Do a clean install

Make sure you have the Apple Java

    h ttps://support.Apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=en_US

Make sure you have your serial number and if you are having problems with the serial number or the serialization however adobe of web server will not support your problem.

    update the application via photoshop.

  • Can you Reader Extension Server integrate with Solutions like HP Exstream third 3rd?

    Hello
I wanted to understand if it is possible to integrate Adobe Reader Extension Server (ARES) with a 3rd party Solution that does not have the ability to generate a PDF document that can be filled up and registered locally and and/or transmitted using eFax or email?

This kind of integration will bring the solution left 3rd a fillable PDF generatte ability to screen which can be recorded and transmitted?

Yes, integration of services LiveCycle, so drive - extend a document/form is easy.  I would drive the LiveCycle technical white paper, particularly the section on the invocation on page 7; My guess is that the web services would be probably the easiest. I assume you mean just the processs of reader-extension (where you just add the rights once a form), but the same architecture could apply for data extraction.

  • Windows Vista and Adobe Reader 6.0CE compatibility

I have download Adobe Reader 9.3, activate it and start the installation. Then appears the message: to continue. Conductor (process Id: 1988) >. What should I do? (Sorry for the bad English)

Whatever Adobe Reader 6.0CE has to do with the problem?  I don't understand the connection.

You must research on this problem in the technical support of Adobe and/or poster group in their forum:http://www.adobe.com/support/reader/ andhttp://forums.adobe.com/community/adobe_reader_forums/adobe_reader.

This seems to be a problem with their software and not with Vista (or you need to explain the problem just a little more clear).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
