• I have problems with gmail with firefox. Refreshing page is slow; Drag and drop files in email sometimes do not work.

  My problem is mainly associated with gmail. When I click on return to the Inbox after reading a mail, it takes a good few seconds while in the past, it was always instant.

  So I decided to try the second option on the plugin check. After I clicked on the link the message says that my version of firefox is not the last. I've updated it and so far I don't have drag and drop the problem but we will give it some time and see. This problem does not occur all the time but it happened a few times, so I guess I should try it for a while.

  I recently moved to one old pc to another. My music library and the melodies are all ok and set.  When I used the old pc, I could drag a folder with music in there and drop it into ITunes.  ITunes and then implement these titles in the iTunes library.  Now when I'm on the new pc, the folder with the music she disappears from my pc as if he moved the contents of the iTunes folder and nothing left in the original spot I had music.  I'm all for backups and usually keep the same music in ITunes and a return to the top of file, but for some reason, if I drag and drop into iTunes, the original folder is no more.  How can I prevent iTunes to get rid of the original music file?

  Where exactly the media you add located? What is the setting for the media folder in iTunes > Preferences > advanced. Without knowing the details, I think that would be the media is located in the designated folder media and moves according to its metadata when you add it to iTunes. • Windows XP SP3: Unable to start, System Restore cannot drag and drop ALL the files/folders on the desktop and applications, many unable to start, services cannot search, cannot copy or transfer the any files folders...

  After a recent power outage, my system has restarted with a weird and very common Windows problems range. The system boots fine, all my personal files/folders/apps are intact, have suddenly stopped almost all functions of applications, but many crucial functions of the Windows kernel. Everything seems to point to several Windows Services are unable to start (administrative tools on the start menu). I am running Win XP SP3 and that he was going to upgrade to Windows 7, but I wanted to backup everything in advance. As I have 29 000 hours on my C: drive and a lot of time invested in my system, files, and applications, I am extremely reluctant to risk losing my files and applications by performing any type of reinstalling Windows. Strangely, begin to almost all my apps and all my files are accessible for the most part, but I've lost the ability to drag and drop files, folders or items in a list within the applications COMPLETELY. I can't copy or paste anything, can't move the desktop icons (although I can create new files and folders). Immediate reaction: try safe mode and try the system restore safe mode has the same problems (likely due to the large number of system services that inexplicably refuses to start) and the system restore says an error window saying "system restore is not able to protect your computer at this time. try restoring the system running and restart again", which of course NEVER changes. It's the equivalent of getting a tire on your car in the middle of nowhere to find the spare tire flat and the missing Jack. I have used to be fanatical about the definition of the regular restore points, but now can not access them. I have backups of most of my personal files, but over years have lost most of the original installation CD for many of my applications (there are over 100 applications on my system) and I don't want to lose the file associations and architecture of directory tree that it took my so long to implement. I started with Win XP media center edition of first (circa 2004 or almost) and have migrated twice more of 3 hard disks and 2 computers. All this time (5 years of daily use), I have NEVER known so many malfunctions for as many Windows basic and vital functions at the same time. I tried a lot of 3rd party "windows fix - it / registry repair" apps, all have no effect. Everything I can speculate is there was some serious damage to the registry and have no idea how/why so many Services refuse to start. In MMC, more than half of the services actually start and run, the rest all give the error message "the service or dependencies is not start (error 1068).» In addition, very oddly, no. APPS or windows appear in the toolbar AT ALL, but the Quick Launch toolbar works very well, just like the tray button and start tasks (?! )!). If I reduce a window, it "disappears" (Nothing on the task bar), but I can restore it using the alt - tab keyboard shortcut to switch apps, so all applications/windows appear on the list of the Task Manager. A few apps is paralyzed bad, as the player windows media, itunes, etc. (I guess because the service windows audio can not not start), some won't start at all, but 90% of them work fine, except to try to copy or back up all files. I can create new files, however. I'm desperate to find a solution to repair XP3 Win WITHOUT losing my installed applications and files, before I try and switch to WIndows 7. Any help/suggestions/links/advice would be much appreciated. I'm an experienced user, but I've never met so many malfunctions based on the OS at a time. I, however, very painfully learned (years before that my system so complex) it's been almost a re-installation of Windows guarantees to lose my installed apps and files, the directory tree architecture associations.

Next time consider using white space, ball or points numbered, etc. to make your message more readable. I stopped reading after your first sentence and only scanned the rest quickly.   The blackout has corrupted your Windows installation. Back up your data now. Since you have problems so much, it would be probably best is to remove the hard drive, put it in a USB drive enclosure and attach it to another computer to copy the data OR start the target with Linux Livecd such as Knoppix system and copy the data to an external hard drive. IOW, do not use the damaged windows to try to get your data.

  You can try a repair that will leave your programs and facility data intact, but with this widespread bribery, it is unlikely to work. However, it takes only a few minutes and is so worth a try. If the repair facility does not work there is nothing to do, but a clean install. And Yes, it will mean that over again.

  Consider buying a UPS to help prevent future damage by power outages. For a single computer, you should look for one in the area of $60 to 80. A more expensive UPS is not necessary. Another good disaster recovery strategy is to buy an external hard drive and Acronis True Image. You can image your system (and can make an incremental backup image so that your image is still current). You can apply your image and be back running that you were in relatively few minutes after a hard drive or Windows to fail.

• Cannot move or drag-and - drop files/folders on desktop

  The other day I noticed that I could not move or drag-and - drop folders or files on my desk.  Even with photos, etc.  When I try to move them into the office, following shadow file the mouse as usual, but when I left to go to the let down, I get a small black circle with a line through it.  This indicates that the procedure is not allowed.  Do not hesitate to offer easy solutions/advice, that I may have missed it, but trust me, I googled several tips on what to do with no luck!  I even did a backup of the registry to try a 'dragdropfix.reg' that I found, but this info was from 2004.  When I tried, I got the message: "cannot import c:\Documents and Settings, etc., etc\dragdropfix.reg the specified file is not a registry script.  You can only import binary registry files in the registry editor. (whatever that means)

  I found I can add new folders, files and images for the office and can delete them.  I can't, however, drag-and - drop into another folder on the desktop. I can't also drag them into the trash to delete, but I can right-click and then delete them.

  I tried the simpler options to right click on the desktop to make the various advice offered by doing this, but the chance either.  Please offer advice, even if you think I can have already tried.  You never know.

  I am running Windows XP Home Edition with IE 8.  If you need other info, please let me know and how to find it. I'd be happy.  It drives me crazy and I'm confident and hoping you ladies and gentlemen can offer advice on how to solve this problem!

  It seams to be a bug or feature of IE (I checked ie10 because I don't have a patchted for ie11 system). IE intercepts the drop event and open the zip file. The web is full of advice on that. This seams of methods to work, but I did not test it:

  I drag an interaction - déposer in Captivate for the first time and I'm fighting to change his behavior in the way I want.

  I'd like the legend of failure to appear on the screen after users click on submit (which have so far), but I want to stay on the screen and give users control over how and when to close.   Legend of failure as all the legends of feedback are related with the interactive object, you don't have total control over them as on objects with a separate timeline. These comments messages do not have a separate calendar.

  You can work around this by not using not the legend of failure, but the action of the failure to show a previously hidden with close button text container. Make sure the close button has a suspension point, later the break of the D & D (default is 1.5secs).

  I'm doing a quiz and by slip and fall interacations.

  I was able to add drag and drop for the quiz, but not as I want.

  There are 6 options to drag its corresponding base (there are 6 of these aswell).

  So A can only be moved to B, and C can only be slid to D and so on.

  If A is slipped to F but C is slipped to D. The user must always get 1 point for one who is correct.

  But the way it works for me now, if you don't get everything right, you won't get any point.

  Is there a way to fix this?

  In this case, you can create a v_score user variable to store the partition. Start with a value default of 0, and for every good drag & drop law you can increment the variable with a number of points by using the action of the object. The result can easily be inserted into a container of text to display to the user.

• Drag and drop - lots of sources to a Drop target

  I have a D & D built scenario where I have 13 objects potential drag, enter a single drop zone. I have the set drop target to accept all the potential that they may all be considered "correct" its a learning experience, not a question of quiz, as well as several items can be deleted. I want to count to 5 and then offer the opportunity to continue to the next section.

  I wonder, to simply count items 5 (in any combination), I would just do a conditional action called "correct" and then set it to zero... and then when an article is accepted, a tip action sets 'proper' fix + 1. and then a conditional action would trigger the 'next' button and the message when correct was equal to 5?

  I did something similar from the selections with buttons, but not with the drag and drop. Does anyone have an overview of how to count the elements correctly deleted? When my account hits 5 fell, I want to bring up the 'Thank you now extend' option.

  It is a possible workflow, I used a tip action, but if you want to do this more than once, or to different numbers of counter, I propose to create a joint instead. Will try to explain my work flow (did not use the 13 7 do but drag sources, my account was created to3):

  1. Create a v_counter variable user, with the default value 0
  2. Create interaction D & D according to the normal procedure, BUT do not forget to assign a type to the drag_sources; that will make it easier not only to create the interaction (you need only a single link from 'type' to the target) to affect the action. I've created a «Ellips» type
  3. Create the message appears when the user drags the correct number of objects, and the next button, but both are invisible in the properties panel. I have marked their 'Star' (for the message) and BtNext
  4. Create an advanced (or shared action) which will be conditional with two decisions, the first decision is a Standard measure simulated to increment the counter. Then, check the meter and displays the message and button if the number is correct.
  5. Assign to this fast action to the action object column (see Format tab for the Actions of the object in case button you are on CP8) for the type.

  I am trying to build a drag and drop quiz where you have a list of countries and move the correct country in an empty space in a paragraph to fill properly the sentence (see attachment).
  I can get the first country to drag and drop correctly. But when I tried the second country in the list of code, I get the following error message:

  It seems that the problem is that you can't 'startDragging' and "stopDragging" defined in different functions. I saw something on the use of the target property of the MouseEvent object when you have multiple objects drag-and - drop, but I can't find how to do this job.

  You have functions duplicate definitions.  Either use the same function for the two MCs (startDragging and stopDragging) by putting two eventhandler in each function calls, so you have 2 each, or declare a separate name as startDragging and startDragging2, etc.

  Sorry, but your advice is not good for this example because it is not working properly.
  I try to change a method setPres, but nothing happens when I click in a piece by dragging doesn't work.
  I thought a lot to try it, but I did not find the right solution, after my test I said, the problem consist to identify a table object because there is no property in a cell and that the event does not identify a specific piece that is stored in the table and the startDrag() method return false statement otherwise I can not know to solve using this change.

  I created a clip I creates instances of the runtime by clicking on a button, these movieclips all have the anuee name # where # is the instance number.
