Before moving to windows 8, I had AVG internet security on windows 7, and apparently that's what was blocking the applications to connect to the internet.
So if you have some type of antivirus or internet security installed, try to remove them to see if that makes a difference. -

If you have the file signons.sqlite which has been used in Firefox 31 and more, then you could try to recover the passwords stored in this file (you lose passwords saved in Firefox 32).
You can force Firefox to re-import the passwords in the file signons.sqlite and regenerate the logins.json file.- reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the topic: config page by default via the context menu
- Delete the logins.json file in the closed Firefox with Firefox profile folder
When you restart Firefox, then you should have the pref signon.importedFromSqlite with the value set to true and you should have the passwords into password manager, unless he could have errors.

Hard drives 3 TB worked... then I reinstalled Windows 7... and now they are not
I have two hard drives of 3TO. They worked very well (only reading 2 TB but my motherboard does not support UEFI or everything that is necessary to read all 2 3, but whatever, is good enough, until I update). Today updated Firefox updated to its latest version 12.0. Immediately after the update, I couldn't load most of the sites. The web browser would just freeze. I have determined that the culprit is the Adobe Flash Plugin, however; even with the latest version of the plugin, I always have problems. Any suggestions?
If anyone else has this problem I found a few options that may help you.
I solved my problem by loading Waterfox, which is the 64-bit version of Firefox. I use a Windows 64-bit operating system, so this solution worked perfectly. If you want to download it, it can be downloaded here: http://waterfoxproject.org/
It has also been suggested that I try to create a new Firefox profile. Since Waterfox works for me, I have not tried yet; However, I was told that it allows to solve several mysterious questions of Firefox with Flash. Yes I have FIOS Media Manager installed, but I've done since the start of Windows 7. For the first week or so it does not start on my download restarts. It started with this Nov 3 update from Microsoft. I went to downloads and there were two of them; Update for Internet Explorer 8 for x 64 based and updated Windows Defender definition.
After you install these two updates on restart FIOS M.M. was live at startup and my favorite MSN have disappeared. I disabled FIOS M.M., but somehow, he has been activated with this download. I went on my drive external backup and recovered the Favorites but am always intrigued by this phenomenon and how it changed my registry.

Your question was not entirely clear.
WMP is for XP, not the HTC device. If you have Windows mobile on your HTC, then it will be a Media Player built into it. If you have the latest version, AFAIK you update from 6.5 to what is the latest version of Windows Mobile. If its 6.5, then you already have the latest version.

I currently use Windows Live 2009 on Windows XP. (I also use Firefox if it's relevant.)
I want to download the latest version of Windows Live (2012?) I can do that AND I can do this without losing my current emails and their settings, etc?
I guess Im asking if the download I will be to get a new account altogether.
