AIR applications don't launch from flex builder

Hello

I am currently working on my first app AIR inside Flex Builder 3. For some reason any when I try to run, profile or debug the application, he doesn't it's normal "loading...". "message in the lower right corner, but never begin. The loading message disappears and the app ever arises. I have the AIR runtime installed. I get this message when you try to profile the application:

Process completed without establishing a connection to the debugger.

Command:

"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex Builder 3\sdks\3.0.0\bin\adl.exe" "C:\Personal\Freelance Projects\MyBoatData_Prototype\bin-debug\MyBoatData-app.xml" "C:\Personal\Freelance Projects\MyBoatData_Prototype\bin-debug".

Command output:

call forwarded to the primary instance

Can anyone help?

If you use mx:Application, you must set as true visible in the app.xml file.

Also, make sure that no instance of adl is already running. If so, kill this instance via the Task Manager.

Thank you
Gerard

    Has anyone met Flex Builder 2 suspension while starting up? I reboot my system every night until I get home there are a lot of days when I start to Flex Builder 2 the next morning and I get the 'Progress information' dialog box where it says "load project...". «and «Analyze a project...» "but he's right there with a few bars on the progress bar and new bars never appear.

    Up here this morning, it is in this State for more than 5 minutes [and that still looks like the moment I write this]. The Task Manager list as a running app, so I can't finish. I tried to stop the javaw.exe process and try to open the application again, and who does not. The only thing that works is to restart my system again. Most of the time that suits him.

    Also, I noted that when that happens, I also have MS Outlook open and I stop my programs to restart, there is the dialog box "Do you want to archive old items?" opened in Outlook. A strange coincidence?

    Someone else meets this or know of a fix?

    Hmm, very odd, I don't know what is happening here. If it's not too hard, I suggest the deletion of your workspace and starting over.

    Note, when I say 'deletion of your workspace,' I don't want to delete your source code or your projects. Just the directory ".metadata" inside the workspace. This directory contains all of the internal settings of Flex Builder.

    After you do this, you will lose any customizations that you have made, such as preferences Flex Builder, you've changed. In addition, the workspace will come with an empty list of projects; You can use file > import to load the project into the workspace.

  • Add THAT SWC explodes from Flex Builder 2.01

    With Flex Builder 2.01 running like an Eclipse 3.2.2 plugin, that I'm trying to load CFCS a product by "Making Flex Builder" in Flash CS3. Eclipse error track below. I see essentially the same tracking in JIRA, implying that the EFA is possibly wrong, but I don't see any errors when publishing in Flash CS3.

    Anyone has any ideas on this?

    Is there only one kind of stand alone CFC auditor/truck autour I could use to investigate the CFC? I tried abcdump on it, but it says 'unknown format 67324752.

    In the meantime, I guess I'll try Flex Builder 3...

    Well, I've upgraded to Flex Builder 3 as an Eclipse plugin 3.3.2, and the problem disappeared.

  • Error when you try to install any of my project from flex builder air application

    I have a serious problem, I can not install any air in my project AppTest exported file. I get just an error saying: "sorry, an error occurred. The application could not be installed because the AIR file is damaged. Try to get a new AIR of the author of the application file.

    I use FlexBuilder 3 to create and export my app release. If anyone can help me I would be very happy.

    I managed to figure out what was causing the problem, I had a special png image in my assets projects folder that seemed to be the culprit. Once I took it off the app installs fine? Really weird?

  • Project is unable to get data from the server when more Flex Builder

    I have a strange problem...

    I have a flex project that communicates with multiple PHP files (which are located on a server). These are works very well when I run Flex Builder. For some reason, however it cannot communicate with the PHP files when I download or copy the files from the project elsewhere.

    I thought it might be a problem with some relative paths. But I discovered that although the project works when I run it from pojectFolder/bin/main.html, it does not work if I remove it from Flex Builder (without deleting the project files) and run it from the same file main.html .

    Isn't it strange?

    What you met sounds like a security sandbox issue. When you develop a SWF file using either Flex Builder or the Flash IDE, the SWF file is placed in a security sandbox ' local trust. This means that it can access any resource that is convenient for the development. But when you move the SWF to a server, the SWF file will have a ' remote' security security sandbox and then different rules apply. Using a crossdomain.xml on the remote resource file should solve the problem.

    You should see the security error when you apply. Here is a link for more details:

  • Symbol with class in CS3 & lt;-& gt; Flex Builder

    Hello

    I have the following situation. I have an actionscript project in flex builder and I have a .fla in CS 3. In the fla of CS, I created a symbol with a class called HotSpot. Within this symbol, I have a movieclip called 'bg '. In my actionscript in felx Builder project I'm loading the swf from my fla 3 CS and I also speak the symbol of access point.

    My first problem when compiling with CS 3 was, that when I said "bg" in my class of HotSpot, 3 CS complained, 'bg' already existed, so I directly referred to in bg in my class HotSpot, without declaring, and 3 CS was happy. But as you can imagine, Flex Builder is not happy, he told me, 'bg' is not declared, and therefor I can't access it.

    Now, what should I do? If I declare, Flash CS 3 complains if I don't have, complains Flex Builder. ???

    Thank you and see you soon

    OK, I found the solution by myself. It has something to do with the function automatically "declare instances of the scene" in Flash CS3. If you want to work with the same classes between Flex Builder and Flash CS 3, you must disable this feature, because Flex Builder, of course, knows nothing about instances of implicitly declared in Flash CS 3.

  • cannot package animation swf inside the AIR application with API-ad-hoc of the target

    I have included a small animation today in my AIR application using a clip from movie to swf as below

    private var myLoader:Loader = new Loader();  animation connection

    private var url: URLRequest = new URLRequest("..) /.. /.. (' / data / ConnectingAnim.swf ');

    ... code to add the loader and position

    It works fine when I deploy on my device via USB, but when I try to package for ad-hoc distribution, the ipa resulting isn't fair. The screen with the animation is broken.

    I'm guessing that the packaging for the app store is probably broken too.

    Am I missing something?

    Thank you!

    You must use a loader context, unless you use the interpreter mode. Read this article:

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/ActionScript/3.0_ProgrammingAS3/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118a9 b90204 - 7de0.html

    You want the context.applicationDomain = ApplicationDomain.currentDomain;  variation.

  • Problem in Flex Builder user interface after installation of Flex 3

    So, here's an interesting question. And my apologies in advance if it has been reported before. But I spent the greater part of two days, installation / uninstallation / cleaning / resettlement. However, still having the problem with Flex Builder 3:

    After the launch of Flex Builder 3, I create a new project and "right click" on the name of the project in the browser in Flex in order to launch the 'Properties' dialog box. " Tab property page resource, various fields are truncated and drop-down list boxes are all jacked. In fact, under the Flex Build Path tab, it is completely empty. Basically, throughout the Flex Builder IDE, I have various missing fields or bizarre behavior.

    Then... at this point, I've pretty much uninstalled, uninstalled the JRE (think this is related to java), cleaned the system registry, uninstalled flash players, edited the flexbuilder.ini with one "-clean", installed updates for Vista (so now this system is on SP1) essentially... I have everything humanly possible short of formatting the system again.

    Running Windows Vista x 64; 8 GB of RAM; NVidia 8800 video card.

    To make sure that I wasn't completely lose my mind... I installed on a portable system and everything ran like a charm. Thus, after traveling through these forums and Google the issue to death... I can't find the answer.

    If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated!

    You're probably also using the logitech SetPoint on Vista x 64 drivers, who have a known conflict with Eclipse 3.3.

    (The 'solution' is one) to get rid of the drivers (but I love my DiNovo Edge keyboard!) or Eclipse use b) 3.4M4 and the plugin. However, it is not entirely taken in charge, so they sometimes issues, especially with design mode, so generally I use FB3 and switch and then run away when I need to change a setting (not optimal, I know, but not as frequent as that, once a day on average for me). Or just edit the parameters with a text editor.

    Or (c) perform virtualization VMWARE etc. and do it all in x 86.

    (Mise en garde, je n'ai jamais essayé un) personally, but have read that it works.)

  • Failed to launch! ApolloLaunchDelegate.fileDoesNotExist! in Flash Builder when debugging AIR applications

    Hello world

    I use flash/flex builder for years, but have never tried to create an AIR application before.  I tried to create a 'Hello' world app before wearing some of my stuff by following the instructions here:

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/air/1.5/devappsflex/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118676a28bd-8000. HTML

    "but when I try to debug the code, I get the a dialog box"Unable to launch"with the useless comment! ApolloLaunchDelegate.fileDoesNotExist!'.

    I'm running win7x64, SDK 4.1

    I tried all kinds of different files in the AIR, including the value by default when you create an empty project and the conversion of copies of some of my existing flex projects on the desktop, but they all give the same message.

    Google does not help.  Any ideas would be welcome.

    Kenneth

    EDIT: just tried the same thing on my same version of flash builder on my laptop and it works... The laptop working Vistax64.  The only other different is that when I chose SDK 4.1 in the new project dialog box, he said, AIR 2.0, while on this machine, say, he needed air 1.5

    Hello

    You can check whether a SWF file has been generated in your bin-debug folder? Looking at the code FB, this happens when the SWF file does not exist. (Although I don't know why the error message is incorrect for you. Did pass you to FB 4 to 4.0.1 or are you on an own 4.0.1 install?)

    Try to check your view of 'Problems' to see if there are any compiler errors.

  • convert adobe flex web app for playbook air application?

    Hey, I am very new to this sort of thing and was using a Visual tool to help me create applications web flex. My question is can I convert these to operate as air apps on the playbook?

    Given that I don't really know action script.

    Also, can you recommend any good books, tutorials, or interactive Web sites that would help me to learn action script? Thank you!

    Some MX controls (OK, a lot) are not supported under the BB SDK.  For example, mx. Alert does not work, you must use the AlertDialog QNX class.  See docs QNX to:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/developers/docs/airapi/1.0.0/index.html

    In addition, FlashBuilder is the IDE that is supprted, Flex Builder (3.x) is not supprted.  FlashBuilder 4.x is what you need, but which is not supported under Linux.  You should be able to download the 0.9.1 BB SDK for Linux and the use of the CLI version for a project of will.

    If you are a Flex application, you need to change the root node of a node (Application or WindowedApplication) AIR (if not already done).  If so, act like and more taking orders from MX which are not supported, I keep your business logic and simply change the front-end server with native controls of QNX/BB.

    But first, I would try just get a "Hello World" application to compile and run as an AIR application and then send it on the Simulator to get their feet wet.  then see what it would take to get your application scope.

    Hope that helps.

  • AIRHelp of AIR application or integrate with AIR App launch?

    We are developing an AIR application and use Robohelp.  He previously used to generate FlashHelp, but find that browser integrated AIR applications support does not support this output.

    The AIRHelp seems to be the way to go, but you cannot launch external applications from AIR applications.  At least that's what I understand.  I wonder if another application AIR, or more precisely an AIRHelp application could be called somehow.  If so, how?

    If not, is it possible to get 'something' that generates Robohelp and fusion which, thanks to our application AIR to create an application with integrated help?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    As specified by other people here in the forum, it is certainly possible to call assistance from CSH AIR from any AIR application. Please see the forum post http://forums.adobe.com/message/2272289#2272289

    You must know your AIR application ID and the ID of the Publisher.

    Application ID is the one that was specified in the dialog AIR SSL in RoboHelp 8 AIR SSL dialog (ID help).

    The Publisher for an installed application ID can be found in the META-INF/AIR/publisherid file in the installation of the application directory. This the Publisher ID is generated using the digital certificate provided when generating assistance from AIR in the AIR SSL dialog box.

    Once the ID and the Publisher ID are known for the developer, it can call using the AIR using the following Flex code

    private void invocarAirHelp(tema:String):void {}
    var appID:String = "abc";
    var pubID:String = "ashfksdhfkjsdfk.1";
    var mgr:ProductManager = new Manager ("airappinstaller");
    Mgr.Launch ("-launch" + appID + "" + pubID + "-mapnumber csh - 1");

    }

    Hope that this explanation will help you.

  • Installation of Flash builder 4 has somehow broken my launch of running/debugging/profiling of flex builder 3.

    After installing Flash builder 4 neither to him nor to flex builder 3 has been able to launch flex swf:s. After hitting to run or debug flex gives a prompt saying "Flash Player is not found. Flex builder cannot locate the required version of Flash Player. You need to maybe install Flash Player 9 or reinstall Flex Builder. Do you want to try to run your application with the current version? ». The popup itself happened before the installation of flash builder 4. But normally I would hit just Yes and he would use any flashplayer is default.

    Now, if I click Yes it launch command prompt with a path to the installation folder of flex 3 Builder. When running flash builder 4, same happens except the path is the folder of installation of flash builder 4. Flex then begins waiting for connection of the debugger, and after awhile, he invites a timeout message. The title of command prompts is... \workspace\project\bin-debug\filename.swf.

    When you open the SWFs directly from windows, they open fine.

    I used the uninstaller for flash player software and recovered both fp9 & 10 and reinstalled the. That did not help. When we browser everything works fine, the problem occurs only when you launch standalone player. I tried to check the registry settings if there is something wrong, but all the flashplayers paths seem to be ok.

    Is there another hope to solve this problem than to reinstall flex builder 3 and flash builder 4 from scratch?

    You need content installed FP debugger

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html download from here and install it and you should see the problem go away

    Download the Flash Player 10 ActiveX Windows control content debugger (for IE) (EXE, 2.03 MB)

  • Is there no way to run an AIR application audio to audio output devices different from?

    I need to do a couple of our AIR applications select some audio devices to send their audio output, and last year, someone mentioned possibly using native extensions to do this.  I had to start working on other things for a while, but I'll be back to that (for the moment), and I basically learned how to create native extensions.

    But so far, they do not seem to provide me with any privileged access to what's happening under the hood of an AIR application.  When you stream live in via RTMP or RTMFP, details of the audio you are hidden.  It doesn't seem to be any place where you can actually access the audio bytes are sent on the network.  You can specify a certain object SoundTransform for the NetStream to use, but this class is final and one vanilla Flash build, so even though she may have a way to access the audio bytes, they are not accessible to all.

    It really seems that, when a NetStream starts streaming live audio, there is no way under the Sun for access to the bytes of audio and direct them to a certain audio output device, with or without extensions.  Is it so?  It would be unfortunate that Adobe does not allow it, even through the native extensions.  Thank you.

    Couple quick thoughts...

    The limits are important. There is a lot of work to maintain a clear separation between a decision to users and developers. For example, you cannot change an audio by default to users out because that clearly violates a decision to users. That said, this is a mess of people debating the issue and in fact finally a COM API without papers you can find allows you to actually do in Vista/Win7 (but not 8), but do not expect that it is a "right thing to do":

    lie lly-setting-the-default-playback-device-and-recording-device?forum=windowspro-audiodevelop http://social.Microsoft.com/forums/en-US/9ebd7ad6-A460-4A28-9de9-2af63fd4a13e/programatica

    You can get a drink before reading this.

    Incidentally, RTMP is secure, which explains why you can't access the bytes. The entire purpose of this is to ensure that their media cannot easily be copied or stolen media developers. Adobe don't document their method of securing the flow, but they do not publish the RTMP protocol specification. It is quite possible for you to create your own server method and encryption protocol RTMP while providing an RTMP stream to the custom client that you yourself the code which peut read flow. Here are the specs:

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/RTMP.html

    So I would say that it would be unfortunate if Adobe did give, you access the bytes. You might as well hand users an mp3 of a song because they steal left and right media.

    That does mean that you can not use a multitude of ways to get data via the default output device. Many applications (fraps/etc) captures audio streams video and mixed. But Adobe won't give you the keys of the Kingdom and allow you to decrypt protected multimedia Protocol.

    Thank you

    OK, found the problem!

    When we built the as3 project and we implement web service calls, we used post from get we caused problems. We have been connecting to a service of qa so that may have something to do with it. In all cases, we have changed the headers in the air application to get and it seems to work fine. Why would he works in the SWF and not the air who knows, but there are go!

    (b) if I upgraded to CS3 Web Premium CS5 Web Premium, what happens to Flex 3? It get deleted?

    Hello

    Flex projects with older versions of flex are run without problem in Flex Builder 4,.

    because you can choose your frame to FB4. The 3.5 framework is built, if you are using older frameworks, you need to download them.

    I build a Flex Application from 3.5 in my FB 4 right now.

    But of course, you can't use flex 4 components in a flex 3.5 project!
