  You can specify... is your operating system Windows 7, or you are running WIndows 7 in a VM on something else?

  Make sure you have the latest video drivers.

  If you use windows, make sure that hardware acceleration is turned on.

  If you see no problem and everything works, then ignore it.

  First VMware is a company not a product and you didn't say what VMware product you use no you said what OS is on the host or the guest then I suggest you read the VMware product documentation that you are using.  In general, if the Virtual Machine works in the same way a physical Machine so you can do the same between the host and guest in dealing with clients as if it were a physical Machine.

  If you have VMware Tools installed in the comments you can also take advantage of VMware shared folders and or the functionality of Drag and Drop on pris supported operating systems.

  1 activate not supported ssh and scp use

  2. use VI Client access to your storage space on configuration files and server transfer

  3 configure the iSCSI or NAS to deal directly

  Recently, I had a new hard drive installed in my Tower for my counter top.  I like to play POGO games and was not able to load some games.  When I called POGO they told me that my 'winregistry home' had disappeared and I needed this registry to load games.  They also said that they could solve the problem for $99.00.  I ask if there is another way to save me this kind of spending, and always to restore the registry.

  Because I know very little about all this, I don't want to get ripped off and to find more late that could have been done online for free.  Can someone at Microsoft explain that and then maybe help me with this problem.  Thank you very much.

  Name the file Hosts

  It goes in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

• CSA - alert when the host stop voting

  I would like to know when a host stops polling in the MC of the CSA. Is it possible to create an alert to send an e-mail or an SNMP trap when an agent has not interviewed in the MC for a certain period of time?

  Hi Mike,.

  A quick solution for now is to create a set of events and email alerts using the event type ' Management Center: did not actively polling hosts find ' that will send you a list of inactive hosts. The event is generated every 24 hours and contains all hosts not activelty of the vote.

  Guests are considered as inactive if they missed three polling intervals or not questioned the MC in the past 24 hours.

  No more digging away I don't know other options.

  Couple of guests ESXi 5.0 had been disconnected and inside a few seconds showed connected in vSphere client.

  During this moment, VMs on that also alerted disconnection.

  I couldn't check if host could be directly connected to this moment because I wasn't on the road.

  If the host is having more number of snapshots for virtual machines, you will be running such problems.

  Please the devil on the virtual machine for large number of snapshots.

  The default value of ThreadstackSizekb is 128 and can handle only a limited number of snapshots.

  If you exceed this number then e will host disconnected.

  Rather than increase the value of threadstack, we can delete or consolidate snapshots for virtual machines.

  There is a line in the file vpxa.cfg on the host that has a entry and the value 128.  When vpxa service attempts to connect to vCenter this Thread stack is limited to not allow the virtual machines that are too many clichés.

  If you do not want the pictures should be deleted, we will increase the threadstacksize so that the host can handle more number of snapshtos.

• incomplete printing of letters, but only from the host computer

  I have a recurring problem with my print where the last line of each paragraph does not correctly print outs.  the bottom of the letters are cut off.  In addition, this problem occurs only on the host computer in our network.  and maybe when I use microsoft word, excel or publisher. (I print web pages properly) I did the following:

  1 printer checked drivers were updated and they are.

  2. ran a clean ink cartridge program, did not work.

  3. install new, both ink cartridges in black and color.

  4. selected 'best' for the quality of printing, this improves the problem but does not eliminate the problem.

  I'm running a Ubuntu Vmware image as a guest of Windows 7 computer host computer.  Is there a setting where I can connect to the instance of ubuntu from my Windows host? For example, I have a client sql on my desk that I want to be able to access mysql running on ubuntu. Is this possible?

  Of course it is possible, it's not essentially different, so when you do the same thing between two physical machines, so act accordingly!

  Assuming that you have correctly configured SQL Server and running, then make sure that the firewall on the host and the guest does not block connectivity.

• How to make that guest OS is separated from the host

  Have Win7 (16 GB of ram, 1 TB HD space) is a part of a Small Business Server 2011 domain.  I have a problem with the SBServer and want to look at a new facility to see certain folders permissions have by default. (user redirection folders does not, even if I set permissions per technet article).  Network is 192.168.1.x, can I install a Small business Server 2011 guest (that would be a trial of MS download) and make sure that it is completely separated from the win7 Host and, of course, the field. Then create one or two comments more OS on this same machine win7 and have these comments of BONES join Small Business Server customers?  If so, how do I set that up?

  Yes it's doable... read the documentation!   Setting up an isolated test with virtual network configuration is no different, so do it with a physical network.  In particular read Chapter 7 "Configuring network connections" in getting started with VMware Player (PDF).

• Black screen when the VM from the host that has been moved to Windows 7

  VMware Workstation 7.1.3 build 324285 works fine on my old XP machine.  Work gave me a windows system 7. Installed VMware Workstation, copying the VM to Win 7 files.  VM starts but don't have just a black screen, no display.

  Creating a new virtual machine on Windows 7 host works for a day or two, start it with the black screen.  Don't think I'm the only one having this problem but I could not find and specific solutions.  Any help or ideas would be great.

  What I've done so far:

  Ensure that all VMware services run.

  Digitized newspapers.  Host ACPI: unable to find TARS, the host: SRAT table not found in memory

  Do not know if SRAT is a problem or not.

  From my experience WS works much better on XP or 2003 on Windows 7

  I don't know if you're familiar with the vSphere API/SDK, but specifically to retrieve a particular event and the process around it is not unique to Perl. The syntax will be different from the various vSphere SDK (vSphere SDK for VI Java, PowerCLI, Perl, etc.), but it is actually understand how to retrieve or search for something specific (s).

  Basically, you'll need to use event manager and create an application specific, based on the events defined in the vSphere API documentation.

  Take a look at this script - queryVMsCreated.pl. It's a fairly simple example and you can replace any event and it needs to return events that it a location in the system.
