Alienware graphics, compatible video cards, June 2016 amplifier

Is there an official list of compatible video cards that can fit into the amplifier graphics on the site of Dell Alienware? I ordered their Nvidia PNY 980Ti card from the Dell site, but that has been delayed twice now, made me cancel the order. But I want to get the amp + card, but would like to know what cards are compatible.

Thank you!

  • What does that mean? -This problem occurred because your graphics card does not support the required version of DirectX. This version of Windows requires a DirectX 9.0 compatible video card or newer.

I tried viewing a presentation power point and got to page 2 and my computer crashed.  Thought on... what he did previously trying to display a PPP file, but I thought that it was not my computer to the actual file.  now I have my doubts and also this time an error message came that said... This problem occurred because your graphics card does not support the required version of DirectX. This version of Windows requires a DirectX 9.0 compatible video card or newer.  can someone tell me what I should do next?

You left out which version of DirectX has been shown.

As far as I know, your Intel 945GM should support DirectX 9 and because you have XP sp3, you must have at least DirectX 9 installed.

I met the following, but it shouldn't apply to Powerpoint:

Some such as the Intel 945 GM Intel video cards have a design limitation which may cause problems when you try to run the Source Engine games. 3D graphics kernel does not support transformation of material, light and the vertex shader to similar technologies, which is an important part of the pipeline of 3D acceleration. Instead, this functionality is emulated in software that can reduce the compatibility and performance with 3D games.

I don't have a solution for you (assuming that DXDIAG, in fact, reports to have DirectX 9 or higher).  You can see if you install a new driver support, but if it were me, I would be first contact Acer technical support or ask your question in another forum as one of the following conditions:

    Intel graphics Forum: http://communities.intel.com/community/tech/graphics
Forum PowerPoint: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/powerpoint (select the corresponding forum for your version of Powerpoint).  Include the results of DxDiag, including the version of DirectX.  If there is something unusual about the image that causes the crash, include this info as well.

Normally, for notebook/laptop computer, it is better to get the drivers of the mfr of computer rather than the manufacturer of the device.

Acer drivers for your computer are here: http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=535 (you want the Intel VGA for XP driver)

Intel has a newer driver: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Internet+Devices&ProductLine=Netbooks&ProductProduct=Mobile+Intel%C2%AE+945GM+Express+Chipset+Family

Your computer has PCI Express housed, the best you could do would be to get a NVIDIA GeForce 9400/9500 GT PCI video card.  You can browse the compatible cards for your system here.  Most likely, you must also upgrade the power supply (PSU) in order to install a better video card.

  • Alienware13, graphics, external video card amplifier always inactive.

    Hello

I just bought an alienware13 with an amplifier of graphics. And I have a GTX970 installed in the amplifier of graphics. After I start my alienware, everything seems to work fine, the graphics amplifier power light is the video card fan is running. In the pre-installed application "graphics amplifier" win8.1 I see that my external card is connected. Even with a GPU - Z, I can read all my GTX970 statistics. But it just doesn't! The loading of the GTX970 is always 0%, all applications and games running on the video chip to base. I also tried to connect a LCD monitor to GTX970, but it out nothing and the screen is still in a State of 'no signal '.

What is the problem with my amp alienware13 and graphics? Please help, thanks!

    Hello

I have the same problem with the gtx970. So please DELL hurry to implement a solution for this.

  • Pavilion H8 - 1287c: is the Pavilion H8 - compatible video card EVGA GTX 970 1287c

I improved the diet of a CX750 Corsair of the 500W this desktop computer comes with the factory.  I was aware before you buy the video card POWER supply might be a limitation.

With the previous BIOS (7.09) I have tried several things as shown below.  I've always had to a screen where it would beep three times with 10-20 seconds between each beep then it would go to a black screen with a blinking cursor, but you couldn't do anything.

    enabling/disabling the VGA Palette

    toggling SERR # generation

It is a pain to change the bias, I have need to use the original video card, then replace it with the GTX 970 to see if it worked.

I called EVGA and they recommended upgrading the BIOS, so I've updated to 8.21.  When the power nothing happens now.  The LCD even lights.  Secure boot is disabled.

I contacted EVGA, once more and they said I had to contact HP to determine if the computer is compatible with their video card.  This is necessary to receive an RMA number.

    Hello

First, change the BIOS settings that you changed will do more harm than good.  Change these settings back

Remove the graphics card and connect the monitor to the motherboard. Your PC starts with the video? If so, then open the command RUN and enter: MSINFO32

Your PC is running in legacy or mode UEFI?

  • Compatible video cards for HPE h8 1320t

I get the symptoms of my video card failure.  This would make the screen flicker, go black, displays a blue screen for a second and then restart.

I want to know which graphics cards are compatible with this machine.  The current map uses HTMI, DVI and VGA outputs.

    Tom, welcome to the forum.

What is the power of the power supply unit (PSU) in the computer?  Since it is a CTO model, I don't know that the one you have chosen.  The reason I ask, is it, HP has their graphics cards manufactured to their specifications.  As a result, the video card that came with the computer was made to work with whatever card you have chosen.  I have standard retail card may not work with the power supply, if it doesn't have enough power.

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause

  • An R2 of Alienware X 51 video card upgrade

So I thought about upgrading my videocard alienware x 51 but I just need some help, I was wondering if this card could work on my system

    My current features are:

    Intel i5 - 4430 CUP @3.00 GHz

    GeForce GTX 645

My diet is the 240w, but I'm honestly not sure if it could be 330w that I bought the computer some time ago and reinstalled windows. I don't know exactly where to check the watts well. :/

but the card, I was told to buy this card

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 Mini ITX overclocked to 4GB GDDR5 PCiE video card GV-N970IXOC-4GD

So I was wondering if this card will work with my computer, thanks in advance

You should look at reference GPU. Examples below.

PNY, ASUS, MSI, EVGA, etc. (you can google for the rest).

My vote goes to the PNY GTX 970.

You have the PSU 240w with you that 330w POWER supply was only for the 660, 670 GTX GTX / GTX 760 ti GTX 960 and R9 270 (x). You should not for the GTX 970 330w POWER supply. You can buy a Dell or newegg.

  • Compatible video cards

Hello, I would like to ask a question if this video card is in my system you do you see I have a HP COMPAQ ELITE 8000 SFF PC

well IM planning to buy an ASUS GT630 low profile video card here is my spec:

    Core 2 Duo

    4 GB of RAM

    240 W POWER SUPPLY

I just want to play TITANFALL with a min.requirements of core 2 duo and at least 4 GB of RAM... now the cards video with a direct X 11 support is needed... Please tell me this gt630 ASUS enough? Otherwise, give me a list that works...

    Thank you

    Blueguy, welcome to the forum.

This is the fo the computer manuals:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us & LC = on & DLC = in & Product = 4065873

Look at the manual illustrated parts & Service card.  It tells you which components will be fit.

I think that the card fits.  You will need to check with the manufacturer to see if the power supply has enough power to complete.  It is 240W.

  • Screensaver problem - video card program requires a Direct3D-compatible video card

Cannot run the screensaver as it requires a newer video card or one that is comppatible with direct 3d, and I can't put my computer in mode "Eve". I am running Windows Vista.

Update your video driver or select a different screen saver.  When you run Windows Update, it would probably be the list updated driver for your video card in the optional updates to registration.  To change the screen savers, right-click on an empty area of your desktop, click Properties, and then click screen saver and choose one.

I hope this helps.  Good luck.

  • compatible video cards for 660?

I have an inspiron 660 running windows 7 64-bit, there is the i5-3330 3.0 ghz cpu, 8 GB of ram. I'd like install a processor amd 7950 or something similar in speed, I know I need to change the power supply,

What should I buy to get there?

    Thank you

I know that you have the mini tour, but you do not have this depth where the video card goes up.  The 650 Corsair is no longer enough power for the HD 7950 and it's good.  Only one of 500 watts is recommended.  You need measure from the back of the casing to the drive cage hard to see if there's space because most is over 10 "and some are more 11" long.  I thought I saw where all 9 "or 9.5" may not match.

The i5-3330 3.0 ghz cpu is good enough.  My only concern is compatibility as some video cards and some Dell systems do not seem to work together.  I saw this with the 8500 XPS, XPS 8300 and the 660.

  • Satellite Pro L10 - need info on compatible video cards

I'm looking to upgrade my laptop with a nvidia Geoforce 7600 or 7900 graphics card.

I just wanted to check if there was any problems of compatibility/installation?

    See you soon

    Hi Johnny

You can search for compatible graphics cards until you die ;) and you will not succeed :(
Why?... because portable computers cannot be upgraded with a different graphics card.
The graphics card is attached to the motherboard and it s not removable on a simple passerby!

That is why don t waste a time for any upgrade GPU! If you need then computer to play latest games I would not recommend buying a desktop PC as desktop PC parts are easy removable and you can upgrade the parts such as the CPU and GPU on a simple way!

    Best regards

  • Compatible video card and the motherboard

    Hi all

I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-321i and I would replace my GeForce GT 320 with a GeForce GTX 650.

I saw that it requires a PCI-E 3.0... is it compatible with my motherboard which is a MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E) with 1 PCI Express x 16 slot?

Thanks a lot for your help

    André

Chipset Intel H57 of your computer should be compatible PCIe 2.0 review. Most revision 3.0 PCIe graphics cards should be compatible with your computer. The GTX650 should be fine, but the 700 series may have problems.
