• How to prevent the FF loading all Web sites using the HTTPS protocol

  FF is trying to load initially all Web sites using the HTTPS protocol, including of mozilla.org. Then I get the error of no reliable connection of course. Mozilla .org is the "invalid security certificate" and "the issuer of the certificate is unknown." I tried to delete the file cert8.db as suggested elsewhere but that did not help. If there is an option for this somewhere, I can't find it. I have the latest version of FF and Win7 running. Thanks for the help.

  There must be some sites that are still using a secure connection, as http://www.amazon.com/. If even a link to Amazon is redirected, you can check if you have an extension like HTTPS Everywhere.

  For Mozilla sites, Yes, you establish a secure connection.

  But you shouldn't get certificate errors! When you get this for virtually all secure sites, the problem is usually as follows:

  (1) error of date, time, or time zone who throw checks validity of the certificates of your system. Sometimes allowing to use a timesource on the internet, the computers can introduce this problem.

  (2) not be set up to work with your security software that intercepts and filter secure connections from Firefox. Products with this feature include Avast, BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky; AVG has a shield search function which can cause this error on search sites.

  (3) malicious software on your system for the interception of secure connections.

  So... who is?

  If you have any of these specific security products, which would be the first thing to check. We might be able to help with specific next steps based on what you have if you tell us.

  Alternatively, you can examine the certificate to which Firefox is opposed to see if the issuer information pointing to the culprit. Take for example my test page:

  You should see a section "I understand the risks" in the page. If you expand this section, you will find a button Add Exception. You don't need to complete the process of adding an exception (I suggest not adding one until we know that it is not a problem of malware), but you can use the dialog box to display the information that makes Firefox suspicious.

  Hi vijaysampath, please make sure first that the date, time, and time zone are set correctly on your system. If this does not solve the problem (or it is already set correctly), a possible solution depends on different factors:

  • What is the error code indicated under Technical Details on the error page?

  in case the error code is equal to sec_error_unknown_issuer, please try to add an exception on the bottom of the error page to verify the certificate, as shown on the attached screenshot:

  • What information about the issuer of the certificate contain?

  You run any anti-virus software to make sure that there is no virus on your computer? Also, have you implemented that could block Facebook accidentally content filters? You have blockers cookie that could prevent you to access facebook? Or are they all cookie blocked in Firefox settings? Java script is enabled? (Check by going to about: config, type javascript.enabled, and then make sure that it is set to 'true') If none of these help, when this problem started to happen?

  Added the: Chrome and IE are coded by companies funded by programmers. Firefox is a program open source funded through donations to not-for-profit, which means that's what users are doing. If the 'bad code' is probably just different, not bad.

  When I log on all my sites requiring a password and username for example Facebook and Gmail, then I close the browser with "remember me" selected it disconnects me Gmail and Facebook. So I log into these sites once again. This does not happen to me in Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.

  Firefox seems to save the password and username but disconnects me all my sites that requires a user name and a password after each session. This happen to me before an update of Firefox.

  The only way I found to get around this problem to keep Firefox open.

  The box ' remember me ' indicates the site to place a cookie in Firefox. Persistent means that the cookie is marked with a future expiration date to keep Firefox it between sessions.

  There are a lot of ways out of this. For example:

  • Visit the site in a private window
  • Change the default setting in Firefox to accept persistent cookies of all servers (first and third)
  • Set Firefox to clear the cookies at the stop
  • Install Add - ons that erase cookies

  When I used to go to the story and click Show all history Web sites would be organized in folders that have been listed as today, yesterday, last week, last month etc. Now, all Web sites since the last time I erased from history are all crammed in there how to change this back have once again records?

Nothing seems to work, but on other browsers, pages Web (facebook, youtube, banks) work very well. What would be the next step to get closer to the solution.   One possible cause is security software (firewall, antivirus) that prevents or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

  Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  Firefox sometimes automatically recovers from these problems once a few reboots or you can open another window.

  Windows XP is not very good to store root certificates (those by which all other certificates are checked) updated.  You must perform a manual update of your root certificates.  To do this, go to the following site:

  then go down to the subsection titled "Root Update Package (designed for Windows XP only)".  Below that is a link 'Update root certificate'.  Follow this link, and eventually you'll download a root certificate update package.  After downloading the package, double-click it to install it.  Who should take care of your problem.
