  Discovery of a thread in this forum.  Known issues fixed in 4.1 beta.  Upgrade to LR4.1 and the problem is solved.

  I get this message too. It leads me to a page which certainly does not all missing photos. There is no missing pictures throughout the project. What is happening in a number of strange bugs:

  • On a particular page, I drag a photo to share with others and he disappears and a third unrelated to photography appears in its place, which arrived with about four pictures, but not with others. Finally, I removed the odd pages and inserted brand new to work around him.

• Rolling missing previews and number of images in the grid view

  I took a break and shut down my system, came back and now LR2 only shows seen in the grid for the folders in which they exist. Level low LR displays previews, the correct number of images in the folder, and I can use all the other modules in LR images. All folders higher in the hierarchy to show that there is no image in one of the child (I get a notice of Magnifier with the message that there are no photos in the selected folder) files and no children combined file previews are available. No filters are on. Key words work and get into all the previews and images with the keyword and will work all the modules. If I flipped a switch somewhere to turn off the combined view, I can't find. Help, I still don't have a lot of research by year and date and it's a real pain to go to each folder to search the images I'm looking for.

• all missing extensions after the update of FF15

  I've just updated to FF15 and all my extensions are missing. Some having to do with AVG "do follow" and the toolbar AVG and others having nothing to do with AVG at all. After a day or two, some of them only to reappear, the AVG "do follow" but was always missing a toolbar. I did a complete uninstall and reinstall AVG and 15 FF and there was no change - the missing extensions. AVG says it's a FF problem. I tried safe mode and no difference. The extensions have been working up to 14 FF, but even if I try to go back to 14 extensions remain missing. I'm puzzled as to what is causing the problem and how to fix it. Any suggestion would be appreciated

  Thanks for the reply. Three of my extension just reappear once again as it had already happened. One being the extension of "don't follow" AVG and two other foreigners to moy. The AVG toolbar is still missing, but it's no big deal since I use anyway, and had disabled. In fact, I'm sure it's a problem of AVG in any case is not not compatible with FF 15. I have read your responses, but I am still confused as to how or why they just disappeared and reappear. As always, thanks for the help.

• Missing previews after a hard drive failure

  So, the hard drive on my MacPro laptop crashed, which gives me problems with my images on in Lightroom as I can't access the previews of the changes I made in my editing. Original Rawfiles were maintained to an external hardrive at the time, so those who are "safe and sound". However, is it possible to recover what I did I have Lightroom?   Yes. With older versions of LR when I have a newer version is released, an upgrade not one updated, it has installed in its own folder, not on top of the previous version. If you had to go through and check all of your settings.

  With CC, so far anyway, when you see a newer version, it installs on top of what is already installed, an update. But to be honest, I have no idea of this happens when and if Adobe comes up with LR 2016 or 2017 and eventually emits LR 7 in stand alone version, version perpetual license.

  You need a good backup system. If this be Time Machine, Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper (Drive cloning software for Mac) or a different backup method of whole hard drive that is used to start your computer and that you store all your important files.

  Hard drives break down. It's not IF but when, as they all fail.

  I finished my first Adobe Premiere Pro CC project 2014 and cleaned useless files/folders.  I did several versions of the project, and since I only need the final that I deleted the old files "Adobe first Pro Preview Files.  Now when I open the final version of the project I get a warning that these 'old' overview of the files are missing and the project wants to make the link for them.  The preview of the final draft folder is empty.  Am I right in the preview files will be recreated when I re-record the final file of the project or do I have to restore these files to the trash?

  Yes, the preview files will be recreated after rendering, and you don't need to restore files from the Recycle Bin.

• Adobe Story - all missing scripts

  I worked on several scripts for some time, save frequently. Today, history put Adobe to update and now ALL my scripts are missing. The only script that is still, there is the example script, I deleted a long time ago. It's as if it resets to the default values.

• CDs ripped/imported all missed the first song.

  I only bought my iMac Friday last week; and I hate it already. When I copy a CD in the library he adds to the library without the first song of each CD. the first song is sometimes in an album of his own, and iTunes will not let me merge.   Hello. Had the same problem. As well other issues. Went in the iTunes preferences and check "retrieve follows automatically from the internet" and that seems to have solved it for me. Good luck.
