All sensitive interactions of Captivate 8.0.1 broken

I am pleased to see that drag-and - drop is now available for projects of a reactive nature Captivate 8.0.1, update but now all other interactions are broken! When I publish a sensitive project, all my slides with HTML5 interactions on them look like a white screen.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

AHA! I thought about it. I had to test my project published on a web server with a URL, not my computer.

The problem was that in Captivate 8.0, after the publication of my project, if I tested it by launching the HTML of my computer, it would be open in Chrome, and show me all the content, including interactions.

With 8.0.1, after the publication of my project, if I test it by launching the HTML of my computer, it won't show me all interactions. However, if I run the project published from a web server, I see all the interactions and it plays perfectly.

    Interactions in Captivate are intriguing, but they seem not very customizable. I tried some of them and each seems awkward in his own way, so maybe that's just the nature of the Interactions.

    No Jay, none of your applications will be possible. There are a lot of limitations on interactions. Accordion is one of the most customizable, localizable some new is not even intended to be used in another language English, so you're lucky. However, I understand that the two radio buttons and checkboxes are now also available for HTML5 because they lie in the interactions, but miss the control I have with the versions extended by Jim Leichliter.     Yes, they are. AS3 and JavaScript are both case sensitive.

    You don't mention your version of Apex - as you can imagine, this is important info. 3.1.2 (and probably others have a limitation to find out when he meets '-' sometimes). Do you have a '-' comments in your SQL code that you have not indicated?     I use a couple of computers with XP and Windows 7.  Using the Internet Explorer browser.  I don't want to download another program to clean or to make it safer.  Security programs are touted on the web saying items that are supposedly deleted are always truly accessible.  Where one looks for them and how to get rid of them?

    1. credit card is in a file on your desktop.  Send to trash and then go and delete it.  Is it zapped for good?

    I did not indicate that you clean your hard drive.  Ah...  I see where, if they did not bother to go beyond the cover/title, might think that...

    I gave you options (pointing out you would have to use some third-party utilities and I even reported a utility built into Windows 7) allowed to erase safely files/folders - and encryption of a hard drive not necessarily require wiping your hard drive either.

    You can read the web page of the utility of Windows 7 that I linked to...  Often somethings title can be misleading: it is the content of the actual article you want to read.

    Quoting the article:

    The command is simply cipher /w x:\folder where you would substitute x:\folder for the location desired, wiped, for example your drive D:\ or in your C:\Users\Mike Halsey\Music folder.

    So, as you can see, you could erase safely on a folder on your system - no need to clean the entire disk.

    This is an article over which shows the person who wrote the other article was not only bad to come with descriptive titles, but to make the hypothesis of the tool had simply added the command/w command-line option, was also wrong on how long this particular function of the utility could rely.

    I would add that Richard g. Harper was not completely far-fetched.  Many places clears their readers like this or with even more damage than that.  I work in a place where the player must actually be melted to slag or he is still considered a security risk.  Some use things like this , or like this...  Although I have taken your question as you were simply eager to erase files on your drive hard work, not the entire disk and all data that it contained so that no one could get it back AFTER you have been made.

  • Cannot use interactions in Captivate 7 'not a widget valid.'

    I'm playing a Youtube video in my e-learning project.  I clicked on "Insert" and then "Interactions" and then I selected the Youtube widget and click "insert."  Whenever I'm 'a widget not valid' error message.  I also tried to add the widget by right-clicking on the stage and selecting 'objects', then 'widgets' and finally choose Youtube.wdgt.  Whatever it is, I get the same error message.

    I tried several other interactions and I get the same error message, so it seems to be a more global issue rather than something specific to the interaction of Youtube.

    You insert the SWF, not the wdgt file.

    You should be able to just to click the Interaction icon to insert left (finger pressing a button) and choose it from the list.

    I use the interaction tab in Captivate 7. I wanted to add seven tabs. But the interaction allows only five tabs. Can we increase it?

    For accordion and tabs of the interactions, the number of buttons is between 2 and 5. Circle of process can have between 2 and 3 buttons that timeline can have between 2 and 8 buttons.

    I have a descriptive chart on widgets and included interactions with Captivate, mentioning all the details. Busy now to update to CP8, because there are some nice changes. But why should I offer this for free?

  • Video widget not supported - Captivate 9

    I have a project with a bunch of videos. For maximum compatibility with users of bandwidth, I used the YouTube video widget for the vids are hosted by another person.

    They worked very well. Except when I closed the project and came back: every single video widget was listed as not supported in the HTML5 Tracker.

    I had to delete and re-create the best to each of these video widgets. Not a happy user.

    Someone at - it happen to them, and have the best solution? Adobe, are you listening? It is a BAD bug.

    Your cited version of Captivate 9 is currently at least two updates behind.  I suggest you be updated 9.0.2 as soon as possible and make sure that all your Interactions training are updated at the same time, otherwise you could be led by more pain.

    There have been recent discussions on this forum about video suddenly stop working in Interactions of training thanks to YouTube and Vimeo finally disable support for the API Flash video (something they have given warning about over 18 months).  These threads suggested other video delivery methods.

    Hey, I'm back.

    I have a small question about a drag and drop interaction in Captivate 8. Right now, it's together to continue to the next slide after three failures (with a failure caption) or to display a success message about success, then move to the next slide. However, when I publish it, it goes to a white screen for a few seconds after I finish the drag and drop interaction and moves to the next slide. The rest of the slides have text entry areas, and none of them have the blank screen between them.

    No one knows what might happen? I feel like there is a setting I'm missing or something. I've attached screenshots of the slide settings and drag and drop settings. Please let me know if you need more information.

    Why have you changed the suspension point to such a very short 0.1 seconds, what is the idea behind this? Yesterday, I already warned another user that such short duration is not at all recommended. D & D slides have a lot of code built in, and you add an action on enter to hide the playback bar. How long lasts this slide altogether? The point of suspension is not visible on the timeline, but your change will cause this situation:

    • an active slide part is 0.1sec
    • the inactive part of the slide is the slide duration less 0.1 sec; If you have kept the slide to 3 seconds duration, which means, 2.9 seconds
    • When you click on the submit button and exhaustion of attempts are executed measures OnSuccess or OnFailure: both go out of reading in your case, and the playhead must continue on the timeline for 2.9secs
    • If your items are not timed for the rest of the slide but end before this end, at some point you will indeed see a slide "blank."

  • Captivate Simulation phone

    Hi all

    I'm currently building a set of type "Choose your adventure" in 8 Captivate.  In one of the sections, I want to have a cell phone appear on which the user dialing a specific number and can 'call a customer '.  I know how to write a tip action that will trigger the call once all the correct numbers are pushed (which is similar to a forced navigation slide where the user cannot continue until all the interactive objects have been selected).  However, when I'm stuck prepares the action in order to have the buttons to be pushed in a specific order.  And then also cash for an incorrect button pushed.

    As a backup plan, I had to force the user to only be able to press the correct keys.  So, for example, only the correct key would be visible in the output until it has been pressed, then triggers an advanced action to display the next button.  It would work, but is definitely not as cool

    Is this possible?

I'm pretty shocked, there isn't a setting for this in the publication options. I posted another question on the forums about this myself. After fiddling around with the code, however, I did come up with something that works. Changing the code is in a different place depending on whether you are doing a project admissible or inadmissible. This is what is...


    The General steps (for each type of project)...

    1. Publish the project
    2. Open the "index.html" file in a text editor or code
    3. Replace a small css inline (code below)
    4. Save the index.html file

    Code to replace (to a sensitive project):

    Upward between theTags, there is a ton of content barfed in the function "cpInit()". Find this piece of code within this function:

    id='project_container' style='left:0px; top:0px; width:100%; height:100%; position:absolute; overflow:hidden;'

    Change the properties of this style:

    id='project_container' style='position:relative; top:50%; transform:translateY(-50%); overflow:hidden;'

    Code to replace (for a 'white' project does not answer):

    I did have the chance to test a fully built project to see if something becomes wobbly at one point because of the position of the absolute by report - div but I don't see something bad happening so far. The table of contents still slides normally and all that jazz. I hope this helps!

    This seems like a simple question for a person.  I have a project that I upgraded.  He uses many areas of click that uses an action = open a Url or file and then calls a PDF file.

    My question is there a Captivate feature that will show me all files that are called within the project?

    You can try to look at the dialog box Interaction advanced under project > Advanced Interaction.

    This shows all the interactive objects in the project and what are their actions on the success or the last attempt.

    You would look for those who say open a URL or file.
