  In the second step of "Create the Layout", click the button Modify on your table view.

  Figured it out. Replace 'plain text' 'rich text' and have user support on ctr + e. seems strange to me, but it works.

  If you used a standard text for the 'legend' field you could set the value by default (in the value of the object palette tab) in the legend and the legend of the value None (in the page layout palette).

  One way may be to use a second element which maintain the sort order. Lets call it P2_ASCDESC.

  Your order by condition might look like this:

  order by decode(:P2_ASCDESC,'ASC', decode(:P2_SORT, 'PRICE', v.PRICE, 'PROP_SIZE', v.PROP_SIZE , 'BEDS' , v.BEDS , 'AREA' , v.AREA), null) asc

  I don't like this solution, since you réimplémentez one of the nicer features that apex was already out of the box. Better would be to stick to a classic report template and allow the standard user-defined sort order. Why do you think that you need your own non-standard solution?

• Auto-fill form fields based on the input from the end user?

  I am currently trying to create a new form that has a combo box 'Locations' with various options.  What I want to do, is to have another car to text field to fill out other fields associated with this location (for example, address, contact information) to save on time and reduce the possibility for the end user input errors.

  What are my options to accomplish such a task?  A form of bonding in the fields with a database of MS maybe?

  How can I insert instructions/text into a text form field that can be typed by the end user? As the screenshot attached.

  I already have a PDF (not created by me) I have to edit but cannot work out how to enter into new fields of text instructions, I create. I tried to do in InDesign, but the text gets just covered by the blue shape box when you view the final PDF file.

  

  Follow the instructions as default value for the field and then reset the form.

• Fields to fill out form truncated by the end user

  My fillable PDF on the screen works well here in our office.  But when I send to an end-user outside, some fields are truncated.  One of the fields is a phone number field, I put in place with the format "telephone number".  He is not in default and automatic adjustment of the end user.  Another area is a simple limited field of 4 characters, with an auto adjustment policy (hopefully, I use correct terminology here).  With the end user, they are seized the info, but the police remain large and fit more in the field.  The end user uses Acrobat X, the same as I am.

  Are you sure that they use Acrobat X and not something like the application on Mac? If so, can you confirm that they have activated JavaScript?

  When a user clicks on a link/button to connect to a URL, the Security dialog box appears automatically giving them options 'Allow', 'Block' or 'Cancel '.  Should they choose 'Block' or 'Cancel', can trigger us a message box informing them that they blocked or cancelled the connection?

  With traditional message boxes, we are making them, that is to say

  I don't see a way to do what the Security dialog boxes are not executed by the JavaScript API and does not return all the values that you can use.

  I recently submitted an approved application that is available in the app world. Screenshots takes in the game to make animations faster. The question is, in order to take screenshots, you must use a secure api and not the end-user give "permission" for the app to 'save '. End users are reluctant to 'accept' because they think private information are used, etc...

  Question: is there a way to make a capture of screen-app without the user 'approve' record? OR should I just, but a little warning at the beginning saying... "the following approval is needed to make the application faster, but no private info is obtained, etc."

• How can I make a top layer "transparent" for the end user?

  You have a quick question.

  I am working on a custom map generator and I was wondering if there was any way I could keep a downloaded image editable to the end user. The end user will be able to choose which model they want to frame the picture with. The problem is, even with transparency that chose the framework acts as a layer, and once the uploaded image was placed on the area of transit, end-user lose the ability to change/scale/tilt this image. I want them to still be able to do this even with the model over their image.

  Can anyone think of a solution to this? All tips are greatly appreciated.

  You literally chop each image. To keep things reasonable update you can use Photoshop to slice the graphics, save to the external png to import into. If a picture has 4 edges, you cut out the 4 sides, import into Flash and put back together within a single Sprite or MovieClip. Any area within this sprite who does not object real is real transparency and won't call a click action.

  Don't forget, the hitboxes are rectangular. If you have an oval frame where the edges are asking you to create images with transparency on their edges, which will be clickable. If you don't immediately understand what I mean by this draw randomly just a circle in flash, convert to the clip. Now draw your cursor around what we consider the part 'top' of this frame and note how many inside you also complete capture at the same time. That will all be clickable. So that the user can 'see' their picture behind the frame, but when they click they accidentally get the framework in place.

  Picture is worth a thousand words (sharp image at random):

  

  If you cut the oval frame into 4 pieces (it's the top of course), the transparent area, you see in the picture will be part of the hitarea for the frame. This can be just as confusing to customers in this situation. If most of your managers have little or no transparency (very square upwards) so it will be not a problem. Just like the problem you are having now, no bitmap transparency will be clickable, even if you cut the sides to the top. The Center where there is no bitmap cannot be clicked through to mess with the photo behind the frame.

  So, this makes it a little more desirable transparency detection.

  If the user has the blocker enabled, it blocks Webhelp pop ups?
  If so, the blocker will block also see the button pop ups?
  In addition, if the pop-up Blocker is enabled and it blocks pop-ups of Webhelp, having the user to add my Web site to the trusted list would allow pop-ups?

  Welcome to the forum.

  Blockers cannot block webhelp popups because they are user initiated when they click on a link. My understanding is that blockers are designed to prevent the unwanted popup windows.

  I think that the other main issue is to ensure webhelp is the type of assistance, it will be run from a server rather than be installed on PC users.

  I've just updated from XP Pro on WINDOWS 7 OS _ I reinstalled my MS Office 2003 product set and they were almost OK. My problem - ALWAYS the end-user license agreement appears with the prompt to PRINT, ACCEPT or DECLINE each time I try to use one of the MS office products is open. It's not a big deal, but it's annoying to get that invites each and everytime I open WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, etc.
