  I created a CBL in Captivate 3, the first 10 slides is a conference and he
  is followed by a quiz of 10 slides, defined as standard SCORM.
  
  I want that the learner must be able to refer to the Conference when they
  Take the quiz, I tried 2 approaches and they both
  issues in different ways.
  
  Approach 1: "allow moving backwards" and "infinite attempts. The
  problem with this approach is when the learner clicks on "review the.
  quiz"and when they click"back"on the first slide of questionnaire, all
  Quiz will start everywhere, the score is reset to zero.
  Because the quiz is seeing this as a new attempt and that the learner is
  permit to make "infinite attempts" such that it has been configured.
  
  Approach 2: "Allow moving backwards" and leave only "1 attempt.
  The problem with this approach is, when the learner is in the Middle
  Quiz and refers to the Conference, the quiz will be
  automatically shown as completed. And the learner will not get a
  chance to answer these questions unanswered.
  
  It seems that every time that I leave the learner refer to the Conference
  in the middle of a quiz, the quiz will be seen as completed. Who am
  I did wrong? Is there a better approach I can "allow backward
  movement' and always allow resumes user their quiz where they have left
  in the distance?

  What you see is the behavior designed as in Captivate for the quiz.

  Each Captivate movie has a range of "quiz", which starts with the first measurable purpose and ends at the Quiz results slide.  If you enter the scope of quiz by starting a slide of questionnaire, then jump back away from quiz, to return to the basics, default behavior of Captivate is to freeze the quiz at this time here.  Then when Captivate refers to allow movement to the rear, it is talking only a move backward in the quiz.

  For example, if you get to question 1, but no answer and proceed to question 2 answer that we can go back to question 1, you will still be able to answer question 1.  The test will not be frozen.  However, if you had jumped to any slide before question 1, your quiz would have been frozen with everything that you mark had accumulated at this time here.

  There may be a workaround that you can use to get closer to what you want.  As any object that is classified as part of the quiz, you can add a button on one of the first slides that the user must click to move forward.  Set the properties of this button (or click on the box) to report a score for the quiz.  What makes a part of the scope of quiz.  Now, any content slides falling after this slide button are also within easy reach of quiz and return to them will not have the same effect of freezing the quiz.

  Please keep in mind another aspect of the quiz questions: If you answer a quiz question, and then move off the slide (forward or back) quiz question answer is frozen and cannot be modified unless resume you the Quiz or raise all of the module.

  I think I can summarize the conversation on this point as a response to the original question (what is the best way...) -to start writing code, to think about what you want to accomplish and write it down (otherwise known as 'Write the first Documentation').  One of the points of a good User Interface is that it is not allow users to "stupid mistakes" - it leads the user "by hand", limiting the entries to the "legal values" and demanding that the entries be made logically.

  If you were going to have a list of Infusions to enter, it is therefore logical to decide or not to enter into time intervals (which are always > 0) or order the times (which, logically) are still growing.  You can (and should) decide that you (or you may have a control that allows the user decide, but maybe it's too flexible) and then apply your "rules".

  Let's say you've decided on "Intervals" (which seems to me to be more User Friendly).  After the user has entered the intervals (and you've provided a nice plot of perfusion vs. time), pouvez allow you the user to an interval of 'split', 'Delete' an interval, or "Edit the Infusion" interval, or you can decide to have a choice more simple "accept or start again" - If you have only a few intervals, the last would be the simplest (and therefore best) design choice.

  Yes, up to 11.1.1.9.0, you will need to install a new wls House (new wls server admin) and then configure WCC ui there. User interface and COE will not work in the same field. You can have the portal and content under the same House of wls and install a new one for the user interface.

  This is due to a problem with ADF and WCC libraries.

  With 12 c, this dependence is not there, and you can install / configure all 3 (Portal, content and adf ui) applications on the same domain.

  I want to the learner of a test until he could continue on the training of the force.  If it does not pass the test, he will have to go back and resume. "Recovery" button allows him to do this, but I really want to have 4-5 of these checkpoints 'quiz' in e-Learning - separated with presentation material - so the user proves that he understands the material before moving forward.

  This is why I would create my own button "recovery" at the end of every "checkpoint quiz" that leads the learner to the first issue of this checkpoint (not to the first issue of training).  So far, I was able to create a button that appears after it receives a correct quantity to allow him to continue, and I want to create a button that appears and brings it to the first control point question if is nott get the correct amount and return to these questions.  The first part is easy, but I also need to add the function or reassign a variable to allow the user to resume the quiz. I hope I'm making sense... Any help would be appreciated!

  Your recovery button (s) will have an advanced standard action at least these two statements and in the following order:

  • Go to slide to score
  • Go to the question slide

  Jumping to the slide of score and so that there are attempts to Quiz on the left, the next attempt will be launched (you can check if you put the system variable I was talking in a text container timed for the rest of the project). Then you jump to the slide where you want the user to return to the questions.

  You may have to make it a conditional action advanced, if you want to first test the result?

  To remove this you will need to store variable data outside the Captivate module that records if the user has attempted a given questionnaire.

  Captivate standard does not currently provide a way to write persistent data out of the module of Captivate.  But fortunately there are now widgets that CAN do.

  With the widget to save the data, you can write data to a variable from shared object on PC of the user who registers the fact that they tried a quiz, and what mark, success or failure etc.

  Then on the same or subsequent modules, you can insert the other gadget to load data to read the stored variables and use advanced Actions to decide what to do.

  For example, considering the widget Load Data that the user has already tried the test of the current module, it could immediately jump to a slide that informs them of the the fact that they have exhausted their allocated tries and will not be able to do the test again.

  You will need to think through all possible means, that a user might try to thwart your attempts to lock them.  For example they bypass the warning and even the chance to quiz via the navigation bar or OCD.

  I have a datablock with 20 records and each record has a comment (say field_comments) fields. I would like to allow the user to choose LOV populated predefined comments (say lov_comments) and add a few additional comments after they choose the value of LOV.
  
  I created a LOV and added the return type 'field_comments' in column mapping properties. When the user clicks a button, LOV opens. They choose the value of the LOV and the value goes to the field 'field_comment '. The problem with this approach, the user cannot add their comments after selecting in LOV.
  
  I tried this too much. I created another area of non-visible text (i.e. fake). In the LOV, I added "dummy" field as returntype. In the dummy field, I created the trigger 'After the CHANGE', which basically says: block. field_comments =: block. Mannequin.
  
  But, the user must click another field to display the value selected from the LOV. The values of the 'field_comments' is not being updated as soon as the user click on the 'OK' button in the LOV.
  
  I'd appreciate if someone could give me feedback and help to solve my problem. Thank you for your help.

  Well, I tried exactly what you posted and it allowed me to SELECT from LOV, then CHANGE/ADD new text in front of returned value in the field. He recorded in the database and questioned without any problem.

  Your article is allowed to INSERT/update? If this isn't the case, then set yes "Update/Insert allowed" and attach your LOV to the element and set "post to list" No.

  You can also see if you have any validation done on WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM trigger or after CHANGE which will fail because you change LOV populated values.

  What is the best way to do it? Via xml maybe? I used xml contain data that fills a site in the past, but never used because it allows the user actually insert data into an xml file. Are there examples of what be simiar who can help me?

  I think the first TileList (drag initiator) can be filled with a collection of ArrayCollection in the application, but unless the user has registered, the second TileList dataprovider should be empty, correct? Just initialize this AC and then fill with a SharedObject is a backup was made.

  Don't think. I guess your business logic depends on the disclosure statement, which is usually reset after each navigation works to a page. Using persistence of change you explicitly allow the user to keep the changes. If your business logic cannot rely on a State has changed.

  For some time I produced PDF files in MS Word and Pages that I put together in a newsletter.  I just got a request from a subscriber asking me to allow extraction of page so that it can record the pages he'd like to keep.  It seems that he uses a PC.  First, I checked the properties of my PDF files and found that they are in fact all together for "Page Extraction: unauthorized."  I then checked Preview Help and found nothing about extraction allowing pages.  Anyone know how I can help this user of PC?

  In the mail the bar at the bottom of the Inbox window won't slide up to allow the contents of the selected message appear without double click to open it in a separate window. A thinking about it? I can't find anything in the preferences that relates. The ability to drag the bar just seems jammed.

  Using El Capitan? If so, in Mail, go to preferences-> look at one and activate the option "use the classic setup."

  

• User interface to allow the arbitrary rearrangement of a table 1 d of clusters

  Hi all

  I hope I can ask this question clearly without an example of code, because I like to keep the discussion as broad as possible, so here goes:

  I have a table 1 d of the clusters.  Each element represents a configuration for a whole bunch of connected equipment, and a period of stay in this State and one chain control so that the user can name every step.  I intend to loop in the table to run a series of predefined tasks.

  I want to have a button on the front panel next to the Bay or "Reorganize" that launches a dialog box that lists the control sting of each element of the array, in the order, and allows the user to rearrange the order by click/drag the elements upwards or downwards on the list, and when the user clicks OK It rearranges the table to match the new order.

  If it wasn't clear, let me set out like this: when you change a diagram, and you want to reorganize a business structure, you can right click and select «Reorder the case...» "I want this feature for a table 1 d of the clusters.

  I have absolutely zero idea on how to budge on this.

  The functionality you need is available in the list box, simply set up to enable drag / don't drop, no external control parts hanging out and move only.  Here is an example that gets the names of cluster, you expected to drag things around, then click ok, then transpose.  The structure of the event is there in case you want to move the up/down buttons.  I have a tendency to plunder these buttons icon editor.

  

• Difficulty the front Dimension of the array, but allow the user to change the size of the array

  I know there are a few other posts on table and scroll bars but mine is a little different. I want to have the physical size of the fixed table control and allow the user to change the size of the array as required and a scroll bar if the number of elements exceeds the specified physical dimension. I wouldn't mind if, at the end of the scroll bar, the user sees an uninitialized element.

  The problem I have with the property Num Row node is it seems to replace the scroll bar. Whenever I try to change the line number, the table automatically resizes its physical size on the front and the scroll bar has no effect.

  However, I solved the problem by taking row completely digital. I just said if the table size is > to a constant value (i.e. 3), add a scroll bar and my front panel dashboard to be a size larger than what the value of this constant is size. Once I begin to add values in sequential order and I get to the fourth value, the scroll bar is added and the scroll bar has a feature where it adds an element of null for you, so if I fill this null element I just increased the size of the table and another null element appears underneath.
