Alternative to run PS actions?

Droplets are borked.  ("droplets could not communicate with photoshop" after the update of Windows 10 anniversary )

Is there a script that will run the action after an export.  I still have lot of the bridge, but it would be nice if products Adobe has worked with the other as announced :/

    Whenever I run an action via a droplet, I receive the error message after the image has been processed "error: no element of this type" on average, it appears 3 times by image and I have to continue to press the return key to get rid of the message.

    The action that the drop is based on works fine within photoshop.

    This drop was working fine until the last update and I have used it for years. I reinstalled Photoshop (CC 2015.1.2) and re-created the action and droplets but still having the same problem.

    The action is very simple change RGB to CMYK, change dpi to 300 DPI and save as a file .psd format

    Gout is saved to the desktop and light the processed files in a folder on the desktop.

    You can try to reset Photoshop back to default preferences.

    To re-create the Photoshop preferences files, start the application while pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?"

    If the step above have not, then uninstall the application, restart your machine and reinstall from creative cloud desktop application.

    I created some actions in acrobat to perform certain operations on most of the PDF files. To run or activate action, I must always go into tools-> Action Wizard and perform the action. I want to run this action to a button click event. Is it possible to perform an action on a button click event or if it will be javascript code? Please help me in this regard. I use Acrobat X PRO.

    I've studied a lot of things and come to the conclusion that it is not possible to run/activate an action on any type of event (or using javascript).

    Another point action cannot run another action in Acrobat X pro.

    I have classic report and I would like to launch a dynamic action (together a show has confirmed and the value of the alert, submit the page, then run a process) when the user clicks on a link in a report or click on #ID #.

    I can write the real actions that I just need to know what to write behind the report link that will serve as a trigger for the DA?

    I need a button to increment a counter and then run a conditional. Is it possible to do this?

    You must use conditional shares advanced in this case.  You can have a decision block initial that increments the counter variable, followed by an another decision block that checks the values of the other variables involved and then decide whether or not to show the next button.

    I need to display the total duration of the captivate file in a text caption. To do this, after a bit of googling, discovered this total = cpInfoFrameCount/cpInfoFPS. I created a user variable called 'v_totalTime' and in stocks advanced created a standard action called 'totalTime' and added a phrase v_totalTime = cpInfoFrameCount/cpInfoFPS.

    Now the weird part is, I don't know how this user variable appears as text. In the text of the legend, when I hit $$ v_totalTime$ $ and overview slides in captivate, the value is not displayed. So I think, the advanced action is not get triggered. So how to get this working?

    Even the blog posts that are older than 4 years still not seen at this time.

    Every action has to be triggered by an event: events / Actions (Advanced) - Captivate blog

    In this case, you can use the event to enter for each slide. This means that the value of v_TotalTime will be refreshed only at the beginning of the slide.

    Another tip: type a variable in a text (shape or legend) container ever but still use the X button in the composition of the Panel properties, tab Style role. This will prevent any typos (variables are case-sensitive) and you can also change the default length that will be used to display the variable.

  • I tried watermark 164 images in a single folder. I run the action and then only 12 images are filigranées. Help. What is going on?

    I tried a number of images to watermark. Once the batch is executed only ever I have 12 frames a watermark.

    I've done it before without any problem.

    The action works because 12 images are always a watermark in the appropriate folder.

    Is there a commonality with the images filigranées with success, as the size of the image, image etc format?  Is there something different about the images failed?  They are all flat jpg?

  • How to run this action after you have selected an article in UITableView

    I want to display a few cells in 3 different sections of the table. Initially, all cells will be hidden and only the section headers will be visible. When a user clicks on any section, the cells under that article becomes visible.

    Have you considered using several tables and in each table setting an additional column with a filter? The discussions here are mainly on the numbers for the Mac.  You must configure the filters on the Mac, but you can activate the filters on / off power in numbers for iOS.

  • Failed to load the action while an action is running?

    I have a script that loads an action in the actions palette:

    Works fine when I run it with ExtendScript Toolkit and target Photoshop CC. However, if in fact, I run the script through an action (Yes, record an action to open a script, then running this action and myself), it does nothing. Why is this? The script works fine if I just opened by clicking file-> Scripts-> Browse. I have the 2015.0.0 version of Photoshop.

    Edit: I tested it on a computer with the 2015.5.0 version of Photoshop and it works at the opening to an action. Is there a reason it does not work on the old version?

    The only way I could load a file from the action of a script and use it in the same script is using BridgeTalk.

    The reason this works is because it triggers a new PS/JS interpreter in a thread separate application to deliver the BridgeTalk message. If I needed to call the action immediately, I have to make a call of $. sleep() to manage the race condition.

    You may be able to add a view to call the script which uses this technique. I don't remember if I never tried it, but maybe you're the only solution if domestic does not.

  • Tip action that run only once

    Question: What is the best way to get a tip action to execute only once during the lifetime of an execution?

    My script: I have a project with 80 slides in there to learn. Slide 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, I use onEntry event to perform actions advanced designed for each of these numbers. Given that users are allowed to go forward and backward slide, slide 10-100 event are executed several times, depending on how much time users visit these specific slides. My question is, what is the most effective way to ensure that a tip action is executed only once. Say a user reached slide 10 and advanced action "foo10" is executed. If this user has decided to return to slide 10, I don't want to foo10 advanced action to be executed again.

    My solution: I would create Boolean variables for each of the advanced actions. foo10 ... foo100. If the corresponding var bool is false, do not run the action, run another action assigned.

    Question: What is the best way to get a tip action to execute only once during the lifetime of an execution?

    If it was a success (for an interactive object) event, you could disable this object with the same action as the advanced conditional action. Using the system variable LastVisitedSlide will probably exclude not all possible situations. A Boolean variable is probably the best choice. Since you're on 9 Captivate, make sure to use shared instead of shares advanced actions, you will save time (and the size of the file).

  • Actions running script

    I use Illustrator CS4 on a Windows PC, written in JavaScript. I know I can't call an action via JavaScript in my version/language but I can load the script of an action. I call some scripts of my action set using the Insert menu item in the action menu. However even if I record actions with scripts in Illustrator playlist does not maintain scripts in the action game. I'm doing something wrong? Is there a work around?

    Unfortunately, this has been a problem for years and there is no sign that adobe has no intention to fix it. The only current solution with which I am familiar is to simply add the script to the action whenever you open illustrator... It's a pain, I know, but better to be part of the action, then by calling the script manually.

    Another option is to create a shell script that will run your action, then when the action is complete, you can run the script in your shell script.

  • Run the Photoshop Action of the bridge on the raw files without creating a folder JPG

    I created a Photoshop Action that resizes and compresses an image (at 800 pixels at 24% quality). I want to run that Action of bridge on a selection of raw files. I have to do this, the bridge, select the images and select "tools-Photoshop-Image Processor". "In the window options 'Processor of Image', I put the folder to save the images processed, check the ' Action run" check box and select the Action but I have to check one of the 'file Type' (I check '"Save as JPG' with ' quality: 1" ") (it will run only if a"file Type"is selected), then click on 'run '. It then performs the Action on each image and I get the desired resolution file reduced and reduced the size of the file. The problem is that there also creates a JPG subfolder and creates another set of files also to the reduced resolution but the file sizes are larger than the game created by the Action.

    How can I run the Action without creating the subfolder containing the extra set of files whose size size JPG?

    I use v4.0.5.11 Bridge CS5, Photoshop CS5 v12.0.4x32 and Windows XP Pro SP3.

    Delete (optional) color profile warnings

    Under Destination set to None (the files are backed up to where the files specified in the save for web (export) step and close step on the farm in action.)

    I would like to automate a part of my job, which is to open the images superimposed (in Bridge CS5) in the form of layers in Ps CS5 and performs a PS action than the layers of composites and processes the image. Something similar to 'Process Collection' in Bridge CS5 only with my own action instead of merging HDR/panorama.

    Apparently, it's possible with Mac "Automator" - I can do in Windows? I have no experience with writing scripts, but have friends who can help. Can someone tell me if its possible and point me in the right direction please?

    This must be a batch process. I know how to open images in layers of the bridge so that I can manually run action PS - I deal with automatically batches of images in this same way.

    To clarify, if possible script must

    (1) find the first battery (in bridge [in the selected folder])

    2) open as layers in PS

    (3) run PS action

    (4) save and close (like psd retaining layers)

    (5) find battery new bridge (selected folder) and try again.

    I mean by "stack", a set of similar files (for example same scene-2 EV, 0EV, + 2 EV)

    Function 'Collection of process' of the bridge is great because it recognizes very skillfully similar images (I think that you first need to stack them) opens to them and either treated in a hdr or panoramic image. Instead or hdr or pano, wouldn't be great if you can run your own action.

    The bridge Image Processor is fantastic to open a package of individual files and run your own action of treatment, but it will not be open to groups of images ("Stacks" or sets) in the form of layers.

    What I need, is essentially a hybrid of the two.

    In case missed you my end added in the other thread, you can watch the auto collection script that comes with the bridge and use it as a basis for what you want to do. You can also to the controller of the creation of your batteries if their timestamps are nearby. Overnight Auto Collection Script now performs two types of battery HDR and Panoramas.  You may be able to modify it to a third type of battery. You stack type and use your stack of transformation of the process instead of mearge of HDR or PhotoMerge.

    The help of Bridge:

    The script Auto Collection CS5 from Adobe Bridge assembles sets of images into piles for treatment as a high dynamic range (HDR) or composite panoramas in Photoshop CS5. The script collects images into stacks based on capture time, exposure settings and the alignment of the image. The timestamps must be within 18 seconds for the Auto Collection script to process the photos. If the exposure settings vary according to the pictures and content overlaps by more than 80%, the script interprets the photos as a HDR set. If the exposure is constant and content overlaps by less than 80%, the script interprets the photos as part of a panorama.

    Note: You must have Adobe Bridge with Photoshop CS5 CS5 Collection car is available.
    1. To activate the Auto Collection CS5 script, choose the command Edition > Preferences (Windows) or Adobe Bridge CS5.1 > Preferences (Mac OS).
    2. In the Startup Scripts panel, select Auto Collection CS5 and then click OK.
    3. Select a folder with the HDR or panoramic and choose stacks > Auto stack Panorama/HDR.
    4. Choose Tools > Photoshop > process Collections in Photoshop to merge automatically and visualize the result in Adobe Bridge.
