  • Creating app-purchases for Amazon Kindle Fire

    Dear Adobe community,

    My settings up to now:

    • I'm using InDesign CS6 Digital Publishing Suite,
    • running a Professional subscription.

And ran into problems with the fire of Amazon in app-purchase system. Let me explain:

    • My multi-folio app is running on Apple iOS and Android and - therefore - has successfully published in the Apple Store and the Google game.
    • Now, the next step is the publication on Amazon Kindle fire via the Amazon Developer Console.
    • The Viewer works fine, no problem; It goes the same for the free folio.
    • On the other hand, purchases in application No. The app-purchase is made, the Developer Portal Amazon marked as 'Live', but it will not appear in the viewer.
    • According to this discussion: Amazon App & subscription purchases , it is necessary to match the SKU from Amazon with the product in the Folio Producer ID, as I did the number. What I still need to contact Amazon to achieve a successful launch?

    Viele Grüße from Germany,

    Maximilian

DPS supports most Amazon in-app purchases.

  • Amazon Kindle Fire Support?

The touch applications are supported on the Amazon Kindle Fire?

    Hi David,

Not at the moment. Adobe of Touch applications require a minimum Tablet Android compatible running Honeycomb 3.1 or higher and a screen resolution of 1280 X 800. More info in the FAQ of Apps Touch. I believe that the Kindle Fire has a screen resolution of 1024 x 600 and runs a modified version of the gingerbread.

    Thanks for posting!

  • Amazon Kindle Fire supported HD?

With yesterday's announcement, does anyone know if DPS will work or support new devices from Amazon?

DPS apps should work on the new HD Kindle Fire. If there are questions, Adobe will probably come out a fix.

You'll want to create renderings of folio 1280 x 800 with 1024 x 600 renditions for the fire of the SD. The fire of Kindle uses a version custom of the Android operating system that does not display the navigation bar of the system 48 - or 75-pixel in spectator mode. The system navigation bar appears only in library mode.

  • Cannot use e-print to print from Amazon Kindle Fire HD camera

I was able to use e-print to print on my Officejet 4630 using my Kindle Fire HD tablet.  However, I succumbed the same Kindle Fire HD print on my HP Officejet 1512 using the same e-print application...  Keep in mind that the 1512 connects to my network wireless using a USB cable.  Please offer a solution or workaround so I can print from my fire on the 1512.  Thank you.

    Steven

    Hello

I guess that you are referring to the model HP Deskjet 1512?

The HP ePrint app support network connected devices only, the 1512 Deskjet is not supported as a single USB printer.

As a reference, you can see the following document, see the section "Can I print from the mobile application of HP ePrint, using USB or Bluetooth?":

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01923321

HP offer no solution and no such workaroud, app 3rd PrinterShare part that allow sharing a USB printer with your Android device via a computer, you can check:

  • Kindle hdx and Flash Player

Just got the new hdx Kindle and wanted to install flash player.   Was said to support, what it has available for Kindle hdx flash player.  Is it true.  What is the problem?  What can I do now?

Your tablet (Kindle or Galaxy) uses the Android operating system. Android went ALL support Flash technology in June.

Adobe has stopped ALL development of Flash for Android, last year. (July 2012) Which includes the Kindle, but also tablets from Samsung. Samsung and Amazon have also end support for Flash in ANY of their latest models of Tablet.

The following comes from Samsung Support (31/07/2013):

"Beginning August 15, 2012 we will use the configuration settings in the play of Google store to limit continuous access to the Flash Player updates for only devices that have already installed Flash Player. Devices that have not already installed Flash Player are more likely to be incompatible with Flash Player and will no longer be able to install from the Google game store after August 15, 2012. »

And taking care of the Kindle (31/07/2013):

"The browser silk Amazon Kindle Fire 1st generation supports some, but not all, versions of Flash. Adobe Flash is preinstalled on a Kindle 1st generation fire and is disabled by default.

If you see a message to install Flash while using your Fire Kindle, this means that the content you are trying to view using the Flash. If you want to view the content, you must enable Flash via the silk setting menu.

If a web page is suffering from slow performance because of the Flash, or if you are unable to view a web page with active Flash, we recommend to switch to mobile view when browsing a Flash-heavy site to see if that solves your problem:

Some popular Web sites may also have an application available. Check the Amazon Appstore, accessible through the application on your Fire Kindle library, to see availability.

"The browser web silk Amazon Kindle Fire of 2nd generation, Kindle Fire HD 7 '' and Kindle Fire HD 8.9 ' does not support Flash.

Some sites use Flash alternative web technologies in their mobile version. We recommend to switch to mobile view when you browse a Web site with Flash content to see if that solves your problem:

Some popular Web sites may also have an application available. Check the Amazon Appstore, accessible through the library of games or applications on your Fire Kindle, for availability".

    See: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions. html

There are earlier versions of Flash Player (for Android) at this link, but there is no guarantee that any of them will work.

See also: ""How to manually install Flash Player on my Android device?".

You can find info on "the Dauphin" for Android to: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser , it seems to be the browser of choice to play Flash content on an Android device.

Also check the Android forums to see what recommend the 'gurus '.

  • Kindle Fire HD download

I checked other answers about Adobe Flash Player download online, but nothing seems to work.   Under settings of silk, if I click display requested and mobile Web site, I try to play a game and get this error: 'we're sorry.  This content requires Adobe Flash Player, which is not supported by your device.  This content can be viewed on a desktop computer or mobile devices that support Flash Player".  I am provided with zero link to download Adobe Flash Player.  Under settings of silk, if I click view site requested and automatic, I try to play a game and get a download link for Adobe Flash Player.  When I click on that, I am told to select the version I want to download.  These are my choices: YUM for Linux. for other Linux tar.gz (this option is listed twice), .rpm. for the other Linux (this option is listed twice), APT for Ubuntu 10.04 +.  So which version to download?

There are a few sites on the subject (I just googled "Kindle Fire HD flash player problems"):

From disucssion of these people it sounds like silk is not compatibile with Flash Player plugin. Once find you best browser and the version of Flash Player, you can install Flash Player with following insturction:
