Amount of disk space available on the disk hard keeps fluctuating.

I have a Compaq CQ2103WM-B desktop running Windows XP, hard disk Go 139.  I started to receive notices of high memory use, began to receive notices of disk space is low. I ran the cleaning disc several times, it has been very slow, constantly showing only 2 bars, sometimes for hours. He finally released the space and I have deleted several programs and files, emptied the trash. After a few minutes the amount of free space started going down again. For several days, I kept repeating this process, but keep decreases the amount of free space on the disk. Now, it fluctuates to the amount of free space on the disk every few minutes. I downloaded and ran CCleaner, it frees up space and again it has disappeared in a few minutes. He got so low that I can't watch videos, use system restore, download other software or software upgrades (like Norton), cannot download pictures from my camera or save files in programs such as Corel Draw. Right now is 3.97 MB free space, he went down in the KBs, sometimes it goes up, but it changes even if I do nothing. I scanned for viruses and malware, Norton managed to reach space, but it lasted only a few minutes. I don't know anything else to try. Would it be a software problem, the malware that Norton cannot detect, the hardware, or if my system has been hacked and someone uses free space on my computer? Any information would be appreciated.

In disk clean up, look for the button "other options" above I think it is, go to the

the bottom of the next page, look for "System Restore" cleaning, this eliminates all but the last

I am trying to install a partition of Windows 7 with an ISO on a flash drive with Boot Camp Assistant. Everytime I try it however, I get the error "your bootable USB key could not be created there is not enough space available on the disk. The flash drive that I use for this is 64 GB, so I doubt that the issue has to do with not enough available space. I have already tried the obvious, like reformat the flash drive and retry the write. Every time when I trie to install any creative cloud application, I get an error "not enough space available on the disk untitles-(30). There is no disc titled untitled and there is enough free space (50 GB).

It happens on my Mac Mini and Mac Book Pro. The only similarity I can find, is that they have both a Kingston custom 60GB SSD.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem, I already tried to change the location of installing a HARD drive.

    You're right, this isn't a problem downloading.

It's a lack of space in / tmp (or/private/tmp). It is a silent place to stash huge to download files, but moving on... It's an easy fix.

If you're set up with an SSD a popular board 'longevity' is the tmp in RAM or elsewhere to save some wear and tear.

In expression, type "df - kh", if you see/private/tmp anywhere under "mounted on ' and the 'result' is not large (several concerts I assume), there is your problem.

The most popular advice ramdisk (can not find the link right now) is to place a startup item to do this job and name "RamFS" or/System/Library/StartupItems/RamFS. Move it out or chmod 000 it temporarily, restart and install. You can replace the StartupItem subsequently (and restart).

    Hello

-Did you do changes on the computer before this problem?

Step 1: I suggest to start the computer in safe mode and then try to transfer the file and check if it helps.

If the issue is not persistent, then follow the article to find the cause of the same thing.

    Step 2: Clean Boot Mode
I suggest to maintain the computer in clean boot mode and check if the problem still persists. A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
You can read the following article to configure the computer to boot:

  • Load data into Essbase with EAS (no space available on the device)

    Hello

I exported all Essbase database data in a text file with EAS. The size of the file is 1.6 GB autour

I want to load it into the same database on another server with EAS. And each time around 55%, EE gives me the error "No space" available on the device [ServerB]

    Here is the configuration:
-Essbase server: 11.1.1.3 on a linux server has (enough space left for Essbase)
-Server EAS: 11.1.1.3 on a linux server B (enough space for the data file)
-EAS Client: 11.1.1.3 on my computer (Windows)
-Data file: on my computer too

Error messages tells me that there is no space left on the service Regional Server.

Do you know where EE server temporarily load the data file before sending it to Essbase? So, I can increase my file system.

    Thanks for your help.

Why don't you just copy the export more to the essbase server, personally I would not even try to send this amount of data over a network through the Regional service.

  • Why the space available on the iPhone never match iTunes report?

Long-standing oddity, not terribly urgent, but as I hit my phone memory limits recently, something I I want to better understand:

Storage looking on my iPhone under settings > general > use storage & iCloud, I see a number that does not match the free space listed in iTunes while my cable clocks-"space" available in the graphic bar at the bottom of the page under iPhone iTunes > summary is always different.

For example, at the present time this 32 GB iPhone 5 shows the settings > general > storage & use iCloud > available 2.5 GB

    * Note * I found the solution... Before I used the system of virtualization and Citrix (XENSERVER) there was little different. That's why I'm stuck on a few easy steps... Well, the problem was that I use 61GB HDD, 5.5 GB of memory. When I create the VM I "ve used the maximum size of HARD drive and left no space for the SWAP file. I used 58 GB, and you have to assume + memory size, this means, 58 GB + 5.5 GB...   So who is right for which I didn't have enough space. Hopefully someone will find it useful. See you soon,.

  • Satellite Pro L20 - disk hard keeps spinning down

Hi, I have recently updated the BIOS on my Toshiba Satellite Pro L20, and I noticed that the disk hard keeps spinning down after about a minute, even while typing or surfing on the internet. I checked the power settings Windows XP and have it put on the desk, with the time 'Disable hard drive' set to 5 minutes when it is plugged and 5 minutes on battery (I always use on the same network). I checked the BIOS settings to see if there is something listed there, but there are no settings for hard disk power management in the BIOS.

Although the turning down of the hard disk does not affect performance, I fear that it may be to focus on rising constant power drive / descent.
The new version of BIOS is 25 April 06 Windows Bios Update for Satellite L20 (PSL2X), Satellite Pro L20 (PSL2Y) and Equium L20 (PSL2Z)', or a file 2, 20 - WIN.

I think that it s nothing unusual that the HARD drive keeps spinning down applies none or BONES need the HARD disk activity.
In addition, the turning down of the HARD drive has no effect from the bottom on the performance of the HARD disk or over the life of the HARD drive.

  • The amount available on the disc to keep to the data store

    Guys,

I have a vm (called MachineA) machine that has a total of 125 GB when we built it (50 GB on disc 1, then 75 on hard drive 2). Our data store that time had about 132 GB of free space.

Suddenly, MachineA to stop with the error of the newspaper "redo" described in the link:

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1002103

in any case, we have deleted a snapshot and ISO a bit in our data store. The machine could start again after the release of space.

We had over 20 shots on this machine (just built too) but immediate production.

So the question is why have I about 131 GB of free space and got the problem described above?  Thanks for your time.

    TNT

VMware snapshots do not work like instant SAN.  When you snapshot of a virtual machine, he freezes the base disk and creates a delta file that lists all the changes (much like a sql transaction log).  Changes more, the file gets.  (Database servers really make a delta file grow quickly, too.)  You should only use a snapshot for a few days, space allowing, then validation/remove it or go back, as the files will be larger than basic disks and consume space in the data store until the system crashes.

  • Want a graphic 'Filesystem space available' for the last 31 days, 7 days and 24 hours on 24

Using control of cloud EM 12.1.0.4.0.

For a given host, we are able to get the desired cards as (host > surveillance > CPU detail), which gives us the use of the GPU, CPU etc. load graph. For these cards see you current, last 24 hours, last 7 days and 31 days.

We need similar graphic for "Filesystem space available (MB or free %)" or the disc.

I can see the data is present in MS for example (Home > surveillance > the metric), under there are file systems:

    - File system space available (%)

    - Space of available filesystem (MB)

    - File size (MB) system

But these data are in table form.

and you can pass the data for these positions... BUT I need to have table smilar to chariot of CPU load with the files above, system information

Please help with steps, or direct me to documentation.

Thanks a lot for any input.

On the page where you see the metric data in a table, select a row (for example a mount point) and you should see the table of the metric for that point inside mounting.

Below a screenshot shows the graph for a mount point.

  • ORA-27063: number of bytes read or written is incorrect, no space available on the device (DB went down due to no space for the temporary file)

    Hi all

Recently, we encountered a non usual problem with restarting the database because of the ORA-27063

number of bytes read or written is

incorrect #IBM AIX RISC System/6000 error: 28: no space is available on the device.

    Database version: 11.2.0.4

    Type of system: SAP database

    Computer type: AIX

When the investigation we found the full systems 100% file where resided temporary files. So to solve it, we simply added tempfiles on other file systems.

My question is why the db restarted. As far as I know the TEMP tablespace will throw an error (unable to extend TEMP of 128 segment in tablespace TEMP) every time that

    There is no free space.

Secondly, to avoid the above, that we began to find the TEMP files from file systems and if found 90% and above then began adding space on all the production servers to avoid

reoccurance of this issue. Is - this recommended...?

    Thank you

    Hello

It can be consider as an alternative (using a cron task) or if you watch in em12c could control, so you can host some metrics to check temp space.

Now, one last thing to consider, it is not advisable to go to increase temp (to be honest, we need optimize queries, why won't they are eating take so much space)

Third step, you can put a profile (limit) so much space is used, then kill the session so that they eat no place (so that db will not get crashed at least... only session will be started - we can very well with that, instead of hammering db)

  • Loss of disk space available in the start... times?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 with Windows XP 32 bit (old, I know not = X) and it has been a fairly reliable computer for most, but in recent weeks, he has been acting strangely... When I start it up and look at the amount of space on my C:, is what is the correct number, as now, it should be at about 9 GB of free space. But as I leave it on, even after a few minutes, the space begins to disappear, and he continues to drop until I have literally 0 kilobytes of hard disk space. The caveat on the system tray appears and all say that I am low on free space and recommend a scan or something the computer to clear it up. It does nothing tho, to the extent where to find anything to clear up other than a few small files. But when I restart my laptop, all space is back and the process of losing my space starts again without fail. It sounds as if something is the generation of temporary files.  If you are able to download something before the disk fills up, get JDiskReport and install it.  If you are able to run at least a part of the space has been eaten, it should show you what files are too much space and this should give you an idea of the process who does.

If you use TrendMicro, I saw reports it can generate log files large, perhaps when running in "debug" mode, although nothing quite matches the description you give.  See, for example, two John Sulko positions in this thread (unfortunately, the link does not work): http://tinyurl.com/3hfw8d5 the closest thing I could find in trend discussions was as follows: http://tinyurl.com/3dtaeuq

The W10 installer you have is a Setup 32-bit/64-bit mixed and has one or more files that is larger than 4 GB. It does not fit on any drive formatted as FAT.

As 2015 Macs do not support a USB Installer. They create an internal partition called OSXRESERVED and use to install only W8.1/W10.

Can you download an ISO only 64-bit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO and test?

Personally, I would be interested to see what disk management says on the disc. Right click on my computer > choose manage. In the left pane, click "disk management". The content will grow in the right pane. Make a written note or a screen shot showing both used and free space.
