  App advice from Bob Bringhurst DPS using I'm doing a simple slideshow quiz with a multi-state object.  What you're supposed to do is create a few slides and add buttons to each, making them "placeholder objects" that allows you to navigate through the WHO. Although I can't find how on the internet are exactly what placeholder objects.

  I created a few basic Photoshop slides that have text on them answers. Now I know how to use the rectangle tool to draw a shape for the buttons around each answer text and how use the Panel buttons and forms to define the behavior of the buttons. The bad effect, I get, is that each button that I create is press-measure on slides, on what they are not supposed to be. What I want to do is 'stick' buttons rectangle I create a specific slide. Any ideas on what is the right process for this work?

  Hi Bob.  Although I did not use the correct phrase, my question is basically was Q) how for adding buttons to individual States?  By you using this phrase in your response, I was able to search the Internet and find the right answer. The correct answer, which I will share for the benefit of those who would need assistance in the future is the following:

  (A) first mute button from the timeline. Select the multistate object. Open the object States Panel and click on the correct slide.  Then at the bottom of the window click on "Paste copied in some States of the objects." You can see the icon on the image. This is the file with the star thereon to the extreme left of the trash. That's all!

  

  I'm happy to experiment with menus of software and research. But it was impossible to find in any panel because to implement it is paradoxical to the software as well as most work. Rather than highlight my button and then clicking on an icon to add it to a State of the object, icon paste copy objects in some States only becomes accessible when you have removed the button that you want to use!

  I've been studying your course on Lynda.com and he wasn't a chapter on it. I understand that, for experts from Adobe, I asked a basic question like that may seem less important. However it was not ideal to recommend a product $40 for something that can be done in a few seconds.  The short answer phrase like the one I gave would be beneficial for not only me but other people in the future who have the same problem and seek a response.

  Something has changed, with the last update...?

  In the past, when I needed to put an embed a map, I just went to google, face V Cmd and embed code in Indesign.  I'll see a static image, but when it is 'live' during a test on the iPad.

  Since the update, this does not seem to work... the embed code is not a static picture on iPad during the tests.

  Am that I the only one experiencing this problem?  Or I do soehting evil?

  We have no intention to support animation features InDesign in DPS. Instead, you should look at using edge animate to create HTML5 content that include you it in your folio.

  The classic DPS plugins are not supported in CC2015. You go back to CC2014 for that. Only the new digital publishing Solution will be supported in CC2015.

• Animations of InDesign in 'Folio '.

  Hi, I have a problem with the animations that I created in IndesignCS5.5. I created a new document for Ipad (1024 x 768 pixels) of two pages. If I look at the animation in Indesign works very well for both pages and if I publish my document as a folio for Adobe Content Viewer can not see the animation, but only two static images without animations.

  I've never used IndesignCS5.5 for animations and never exported to the Folio.

  I imported all my png files that I needed in Indesign, and then I applied a few animations to a few PNG. I don't know if this is the correct procedure.

  Can you help me? How can I see the animations in Adobe Content Viewer?

  InDesign animations are not supported in DPS. Use any Adobe Edge

  form of animation of HTML 5.

• Interactive buttons in InDesign - for an iPad

  Hello!

  I have an assignment for a University project, of associating with someone and create an e-book for children. Well, we did not have that long it due to other deadlines and the deadline for this project is next Friday (22nd).

  We created the layout of the e-book, but it's buttons work on the area of preview in InDesign, but it does not work when you use the Adobe Content Viewer on iPad - assignment creates the document for an iPad.

  This is apparently because the buttons to use Flash, and can't handle the iPads.

  We gave an art work and want to create a button/interactivity where the player (a 3-6 years?) needs to find a certain animal on the page, and then once they do this, they need to draw, in order for a fact to appear in this topic.

  For example...

  It is one of the pages/screens. It tells the reader to find the Seagull. Easy, I know, but when you press the Seagull, we want that it find it. The red area around the Seagull is a button and the box towards the top right of the Seagull is the fact that fires after selecting the Seagull.

  

  It works very well in the tab preview InDesign... This was after clicking on the Seagull, which resulted in the box that appears...

  

  I watched a video on the website of Adobe on a FLASH converter to HTML5 Wallaby Technology Preview program, but it does not work with it. The person had a mobile animation, although I guess and not buttons.

  Something like a pop-up message would work in iBook author but it must be created using InDesign. (This version I use is 5.5)

  I'm trying to compress the size of the file for DPS.

  I tried to resize to 1024 x 768 images before placing them in the file and I was wondering if it would make a difference?

  By example, if I place a picture of 3000 x 3000 pixels in the DPS document compresses it anyway?

  For all, but the overlays pan and zoom and pan images are down sampled at

  108 of PPIS for PDF folios. There is no real need to do anything in Photoshop.

  Simply place your image and your scale in InDesign.

  Form in the ID fields are only for the PDF.

  For DPS, use HTML or you might attempt to use Adobe Central forms. I have

  The only version currently available (other than on the auction market and a large part of this is a forgery) that is running on your operating system is CS6, and you either buy directly from Adobe for a lot of money (after they explain to you why you shouldn't) or subscribe to the creative cloud and get tools ProDesign Setup because the current version of the CC will not be installed on your system. Frankly, you'd better upgrade hardware and subscription to CC.
