Another view PDF in Acrobat and Reader?

I created a PDF file in Adobe Indesign CS3.

It was created from page 2.

Because when I look in Adobe ACrobat 8 PRofessional it looks like I like: every broadcast has 2 p, the spread of departure has 2 pages.

BUT when I open the same PDF in Acrobat Reader 7, it starts with a single page and all following deviations are wrong pages left and right!

Why is this happening?

I can count on that the reader/viewer sees the PDF in a consistent manner independent of the application to display!

Is that what I can do to force the look the same PDF in Acrobat and Reader (such as "he should really do!)?

What I really have to make a PDF in Acrobat and another to be seen in drive?

/ Larry

I agree.

I just happened to have the cab 7 Player on a test computer and noticed strange behavior.

The correct answer is...

You can expect different behaviors between Acr Reader 7 and other more recent reader products

Because WHAT the Acr Reader 7 is obsolete.

Do?

  • Inconsistency in Acrobat and Reader restrictions

There is an inconsistency between the Adobe products for restrictions of document on a file that I received.  If I open it in Acrobat, it says 'None' for the security of documents, and any restrictions on the document say "authorized."  If I open it in the reader, he says always "None" for the security of the documents, but about half say the restrictions of the document (including signature) "unauthorized."  What gives?  I use the latest version of Acrobat and Reader, but I don't know what was used to generate the document.  I tried to save the document in Acrobat, but it doesn't help.

Confusing isn't. The thing is, this isn't a tool of reporting for security. Rather, it is to tell you what you can and can't do now. Thus, the player may not change (for example). If editing is not authorized in the drive and declared as such. Other thgs can depend on to know if a file is active, signed player or whatever.

  • Acrobat and Reader 8.  When you try to print, the memory could not be "read".

A user (without local administrator rights) does a job batch of Microstation and exported all his drawings in pdf format.  They open correctly in Acrobat 8 and Reader 8.  When he clicks on the button print, it gets the error below.  When I login with local administrator rights, I can print these accurate pdfs very well.  Here is the event/error log entry.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.   It runs Windows XP SP3.

    Event type: Information

    Event source: Application Popup

    Event category: no

    Event ID: 26

    Date: 27/03/2012

    Time: 17:27:46

    User: n/a

    Computer:

    Description:

Application popup: 2012-03-27 C6-01. PDF - Adobe Acrobat Professional: Acrobat.exe - Application error: the instruction at "0x0436959a" referenced memory at "0x00000d28". The memory could not be "read".

Click OK to terminate the program

Click on CANCEL to debug the program

We tested with another nonadministrator account and Acrobat worked fine.  Therefore, the problem was in the user's profile.  We just its data saved, deleted the old profile and did reconnect.  This has created new profile.  Acrobat works beautifully.

  • Acrobat and Reader

I thought I'd have Acrobat X Pro would have the necessary Acrobat Reader software.  But while trying to download something on a commercial Web site, I get a page telling me I need to install the Acrobat Reader software and to provide a download button now.  If I do not download the player I don't get the document.  I tried with Acrobat X runnng, and got the same result.  Is this just one of those goofy nonsense things (error on a website, computer, having a bad day, just because it's Friday, etc.) or is there a legitimate reason to have the player more Acrobat X?  P.S.: I'm not even sure I really want to I was gtrying to download the document.

Oh, and I see that the name of Acrobat Reader is now Adobe Reader, which should eliminate a lot of confusion in the future.

N ° no reason to have both. You have a link to the Web site? Maybe something at their end. You can open PDF on other sites?

They changed with version 6. Yes, it doesn't seem to clear up some confusion (but not all)

  • How to do the "quick print" Windows function works with Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader installed on a computer?

    Hello

On a Windows 10 computer I have Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat is installed.

If Adobe Acrobat is set as the default PDF Viewer, when I right click on a PDF file I don't have the button 'print '.

If Adobe Reader is set as the default PDF Viewer, when I right click on a PDF file I have this 'print' button, but when I click the button it opens Adobe Acrobat (why?) and it does not print anything

Are you aware of this bug? What can I do to make this work of button "print"?

Thanks for reading and your help

    Nicolas

Which versions of Acrobat and Reader you have installed? The only supported combination is when both are of the same major version (for example, XI Acrobat and Reader XI, or Acrobat DC and DC drive). Anything else is not supported one can cause problems.

  • Adobe Echosign, v10 Adobe Acrobat and LiveCycle ES / 2?

My company is standardized on Adobe Acrobat and Reader version 10.  I currently have Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe LiveCycle ES v10.1.13 / 2.  I would like to add fields of signature at the bottom of the forms are made with these two products.  Is - it possible, or should I or should I for any other reason, the upgrade to Adobe Acrobat Pro v11 and LiveCycle ARE / 4?

    Thank you for your help.

    -David.

    Hi dsh135,

Yes, you can add a signature using Acrobat X field, but please note that the latest Acrobat XI (11.0.10) version, which has better and more flexible than the version features X.

In Acrobat X, go in "tools > forms > Edit' and select the Digital Signature field and place it where you want on the form."

Then you can open the properties of the signature field and make the settings you want.

    Hope this information helps.

Let me know if you have other queries.

  • Adding the video resourses to PDF in acrobat

I created a document of digital publication in indesign CS6.

It is 44 pages long and includes videos and animations.

I exported the entire document as a SWF file, and then I placed this SWF in a single page indesign document and exported as an interactive PDF.

Everything works fine in Acrobat wait do not play videos.

I found that indesign created a folder with my video resourse and I should be able to add them to my interactive PDF file.

So I opened my interactive PDF in acrobat and when I click on the SWF button Add a big white box appears with a logo flash inside.

I can resize the box or delete the box and when I do I just see a blank white page. The content of my interactive presentation 44 page disappears.

    Help, please. Thank you

If the ActionScript inside the generative FSV waiting for resources in a subfolder named, they must be in the same subfolder in the collection resources of the PDF. Either create one by hand with the tools of the dialog box, or import the folder itself rather than the files it contains.

Converting individual standalone swf animations is very well (even if it is normally done in Flash Pro or catalyst, so you can control what external assets are used and generate more efficient code). That's what the person in the message 4637240 is told to do - they refer to a single annotation in a 1-page layout - but the idea that a video annotation must be converted into a SWF file is simply not true. Simply that export the INDD presentation to Interactive PDF and they will work - Adobe knows what they are doing, they create PDFs for 20 years.

If you want a complete and thorough tutorial on annotations in InDesign and Acrobat, Watch thisvideo.
