Anthena 3 / 1 or 1:1

Hello

I am confused to read different versions. Which is true:

(A) Anthena FCC requirement from point to point. For each 1dBm locomotion you lower you can add 3dBm gain anthena (1:3) or is it only a 1:1?

(B) FCC anthena requirement of Point-to-Multipoint. For each 1 dBm of locomotion you lower you can add 1dBm anthena gain (1:1) or is a 1:3?

Please help with this confusion!

Thank you.

Part of the confusion about your question comes from the darkness of both point-to-point and Point-to-Multipoint. The regulatory limit of the FCC States that maximum EIRP 36dbm, even if they make exceptions only for point to point dedicated facilities that use type direction yagi antennas (also note the antenna must be at 6dbi.).

Generally, in a Point-to-Multipoint facility, you have the side root with an omnidirectional antenna, which in this case your maximum EIRP 36dbm or 4 watts.

So in terms of point to point, if you use an antenna with a gain 6dbi higher, you must reduce the transmission power 1db for every three db antenna is gone 6dbi. as shown in the example below:

Transmit power + antenna Gain = EIRP

30dB + 36dbm = 6dbi

28dB + 12dbi = 40dbm

who is?

Point-to-Multipoint is a 1db up to the progression of 1 dB.

How this aid. Please rate the answer.

Thank you

  • XPS 12, unstable wireless, tried several fixes.

    Hello

I got my XPS 12 three days ago and was sad to realize there indeed problems known wireless. I'll go into the details of what is happening, because it's a little different from what I met earlier.

When I start the laptop, it connects as planned, but after only one use, it simply stops, still, it shows that I am connected, and how the conection is strong. The only way to fix this, is to manually disconect and reconect. One out of ten times, I can get a conection error, saying that the adapter could not conect.

Whenever I try to install greater things, the wireless stops faster, less use, it stay connected for longer. Very bad mood?

I followed this link here, changed the settings like recomeneded, updated, tried different drivers, turning on and off, playd with settings, alas, no change.

I also tried key with premium XPS support, but aimed at the so-called PWC (appeal of northen Scandinavia)? Needless to point out, that they did not pick up eighter of the times I called.

I have the: Intel @ Dual band Wireless AC 7260 + Bluetooth 4.0 completely up to date, I also recently ran windows updater, rebooted my laptop several times to ensure that he al intalled and so immediately and so strong.

Keep in mind, I'm not very stable on the parameters of the computer, so keep it simple. And add colorful images.

    Good day!

After a month and a half, and I've got the solution!

Changing the map network, adapter, anthena and whatnot do not solve the problem, but downgraded to an older driver doesn't, oddly. It has been running fine now for a full day and appear to be stable. I'll add a tutorial step by step for the rest of you.

    1. go to this page here and download the version of the driver Intel (r) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 16.1.0.13, A02

    2. press on Win + X and enter the device management

    3. open the network adapter menu and uninstall the current wireless driver

4 hold down the SHIFT key as you restart the computer, from there, in safe mode (it is important that you hold in SHIFT as you restart)

    5. install the driver from step 1, but run it as an admin. He will ask for an update or installation, custom updated worked fine.

    6. restart the computer, enter the network key, voila!

If this does not work for you, let me know. If that were the case, send a complaint to Dell in my name. I'm furiouse with Dell to let me wait a month until they cared even try anything, for some strange reason, they refused my 30 days return request, even if it was valid and part of the agreement. This is the first time in the five years I've used Dell they don't take me seriously, which ultimately forced me to buy a second laptop for my studies.
