Any data dictionary view for details on licensing only features?

Hello

There in oracle 10.2.0.4, any view data dictionary that provides details on these two options by default from Enterprised edition
as well as licensed features at a glance?

I know that DBA_FEATURE_USAGE_STATISTICS provides details on what function is used. But I'm interested capture only
use that are allowed and not the standard features.

Thank you

In this case, you will need to find a document entitled "Bill", which has "Oracle Corp" on him.
Oracle doesn't keep track of license within the database info.
It uses dba_feature_usage_statistics to be able to continue if.

  • data dictionary views and result_cache

    Hello
Are there special aspects when caching the results of a function that uses data dictionary views to determine its results?
This issue arose because I have a such a result_cached function for which the result_cache objects are not get invalidated, even when the underlying data dictionary views have changed and the function gives 'fade' in it values came out. Addition of article relies_on has not helped either.

Here's what I'm trying to do:
The function accepts the name of the table as its input and trying to determine all the child tables by using the sys.dba_constraints view. The results are returned in a pl/sql table and are cached so that subsequent calls to this function use the result_cache.
Everything works well for the parent/child tables that were created before the creation of this function. All the results are correct.

The problem starts when a child table is added to an existing table in the parent.
V$ result_cache_objects view shows the result of this function as "Published" and the output of the function do not show the child table that is newly created.
The same is when an existing child table is deleted; the function continues to return in the output as it is extracted from the result_cache.

Restrictions on result caching functions *.

To be cached in result, a function must meet all of these criteria:

    * It is not defined in a module that has the rights to the plaintiff, or in an anonymous block.
    * It is not a function table in pipeline.
    * It does not reference dictionary tables, temporary tables, sequences or not deterministic SQL.
For more information, see Oracle Database Performance Tuning Guide.
    * It has no OUT or IN OUT parameters.
    * No parameter has one of these types:
    o BLOB
    o CLOB
    o NCLOB
    o REF CURSOR
    o Collection
    o object
    o file
    Return type is none:
    o BLOB
    o CLOB
    o NCLOB
    o REF CURSOR
    o object
o collect Record or PL/SQL that contains a return unsupported type

It is recommended that a result caching function also meet these criteria:

    * It has no side effects.
For more information about side effects, see "subprogram Side Effects".
    * It is not specific to the session settings.
For more information, see "Making Result-Cached functions manage Session-specific settings.
    * It is not specific to the session application contexts.

  • Cannot select Tables or data dictionary views

    Hello

I have a normal user from where I want to visualize the data dictionary tables and views as DBA_ and V$ _ because I do not want to log the SYS account each time.

I have granted all the privileges of the user, but it does not work. Here are the commands I used.

    all the privileges of the user;

    Grant sysdba to user;

    Can you help me please

    Hello

grant this user SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE. Revoke all privileges that the user didn't need, or he would be able to do all sorts of things destructive (up to drop the entire database) by accident.

  • What data dictionary view can tell me what columns in the index are compressed?

So I can create an index compressed on a table like this:

    create index t23_idx on t23 (col3, col5, col1) compress 2;

This creates an index with a degree of compression of 2. So far so good.

But how do I know what columns are in fact, compressed at a later date? View USER_INDEX tells me that if COMPRESSION is enabled, but there is nothing on the view USER_IND_COLUMNS to say which columns are compressed.

Of course, I can retrieve information through DBMS_METADATA. GET_DDL but I'm really after receiving a request, because it is more convenient.

I had hopes for SYS. ICOL$. SPARE1, but that doesn't seem to be compatible with what I expect. However, if someone can confirm that this column is indeed the Badger so I gladly adjust my expectations.

    Cheers, APC

OK, I may not read your question.
DBA_INDEXES. PREFIX LENGTH is "the number of columns in the prefix of the compression key."

  • How to import data dictionary views

I want to import all_tab_comments and use it for research in a map.
Is it possible to do other than creating a view in my schema that makes a ' select * from all_tab_comments "?

    11 GR 1 material OWB

    Hello

There are 2 locations for module; one is the location of metadata in which objects are imported, the other is the location of the data. What you could do, is for your regular module have a different metadata location to capture the ALL_TAB_COMMENTS view for example (even if it's just for the duration of the metadata import), this place would still have the credentials (name and password) as your regular location, but the scheme would be SYS. Then, when you import the views, turn on views and synonyms, ALL_TAB_COMMENTS would be visible and you can select and import.

    See you soon

  • Problems with synchronization model with the data dictionary

Let me start by saying that I do something wrong (there not much documentation on this product so far...).

I designed my whole from scratch in SDDM 3 and then put model upgraded to SDDM 4. There is already a problem with the sync option from the data dictionary model, in which it works only if first import you an object any in the data dictionary for the model for the reverse to work. I did, and now I can't start the synchronization successfully. The thing is, but I have all the objects already created in my database, according to a specific schema, each time I start the synchronization, it always tells me that none of my model objects exist on the destination! I've tried setting the owner on the physical model, remove, modify the connection to connect with the owner objects, but nothing seems to work.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

You need clear information source banner and rename the schema in the relational model if you want to use the Sync feature, otherwise, you can use import wizard of data dictionary (possibly to check 'target swap') and to

don't check box "use schema property in compare features" If your schema is changed.-"preferences > Data Modeler > DOF > compare > ' or to compare options in compare dialog.

You can clear information source banner by selecting all the objects on the diagram (Ctrl-A) and use 'Clear stamp source' in the context menu for the selected objects.

In the next version - there are options to work around the source schema and the name of the source object, and you can use different user and change the name of the table in the physical model in order to synchronize with a different schema or even track changes in table name.

  • How to complete the data or details of the only this year and the previous year for the given RATNG?

    Hi all

I created a form with 5 blocks (namely ENQACMHDR, ENQACMDTL, ENQACEHDR, ENQACEDTL, ENQACSPEC), where I have 8 push buttons (namely ENTER_QUERY, EXEC_QUERY, CLEAR, FIRST, NEXT, PREVIOUS, LAST, and EXIT).

This form is created just for display purposes only. So after that I ran, all blocks have been blocked against insert and update.

I have question on 2 fields 'ENQNO' and "RATNG" (both belong to the ENQACMDTL block).

When I click on "EXEC_QUERY" directly, all data for all years fills.

But the user wanted the data to be populated only this year and the previous year.

Yes, on ' Clause WHERE' of the property_palette of the 'ENQACMDTL' block , I put in the following condition:

    SUBSTR (ENQACMDTL. ENQNO, 1, 4) = TO_CHAR (ADD_MONTHS (SYSDATE,-12), 'YYYY') OR SUBSTR (ENQACMDTL. ENQNO, 1, 4) = TO_CHAR (SYSDATE, 'YYYY')

    PROPERTY PALETTE (ENQACMDTL block)
    WHERE ClauseSUBSTR (ENQACMDTL. ENQNO, 1, 4) = TO_CHAR (ADD_MONTHS (SYSDATE,-12), 'YYYY') OR SUBSTR (ENQACMDTL. ENQNO, 1, 4) = TO_CHAR (SYSDATE, 'YYYY')

Data only this year and the year before are now filled. Its ok with the field of "ENQNO".

The problem is when I have queries on the field "RATNG. 'RATNG' is a Text_item with number of displayed items = 5. (5 lines)

Here are the 2 columns in a Table (name = ENQACMDTL) in the database.

    ENQNO RATNG
    2013900054500KC2
    2013900047800KC4
    2013520018750KC6
    ...............
    20129000371000KC2
    2012520109500KC2
    2012140019750KC6
    ..................
    2011540036500KC2
    20111000301000KC2
    ..................
    .................
    200610000790KD8
    2006750014750KC6
    2006900072500KC2

The first 4 issues of "ENQNO" represents the year. There is more than a lakhs of records.

So, when I have queries on the field "RATNG."

    Example: for RATNG = 500KC2;

I click on ENTER_QUERY, the field of "RATNG", I put in the 500KC2 of the value and click on EXEC_QUERY; Details regarding the 500KC2 is displayed as well as all the other junk RATNG as 750KC6, 1000KC2 (which belongs to the ENQNO of the current year and previous year) also gets displayed.

I want details of only RATNG (500KC2) to display, but only for the current year and the previous year, it is 2013900054, 2012520109 (ENQNO).

Other than 500KC2 RATNG, no other RATNG must be displayed.

500KC2 = RATNG is also present for ENQNO = 2011540036, 2006900072. But I don't want them to view.

I want only the data or details of the current year and the previous year to be filled or displayed for the given RATNG.

Can you help me or tell me what I do for this?

Hope I'm clear with my question!

If my question is not clear, let me know please.

    Thank you.

    Oracle forms 6i.

    1. check null values in the enqacmdtl.enqno, if so treat them properly.

    2. check the result of select to_char (add_months (sysdate,-12), 'YYYY') prev_year curr_year of double to_char(sysdate,'YYYY')

    3. change the place where clause "year" in the value of numAriques.

    where to_number (substr (enqacmdtl.enqno, 1, 4)) > = to_number (to_char (add_months (sysdate,-12), 'YYYY'))

Then let me know the result.

  • Compare and get the data in the tables (see post for details)

I have two tables TableA and TableB. I struggle to write a query to get the dates of TableB (instead of TableA dates) where TableA dates don't coincide with the tableB (beginning and end).

    Example 1: For account A1234,.

TableA got 2 rows 1/31/2014-3/3/2014 (which corresponds to TableB row), but TableA got another rank 31/01/2014 - 31/01/2014 that corresponds with the date of TableB Begin. In this case, I'm looking for output as below,

Use TableB start and end date and combine number two rows from TableA for this account

    ACCOUNTTableB_BEGINTableB_ENDAMOUNT
    A123431/01/201403/03/2014100.0000000000

Example 2: For the B7777 account.

TableA end date aligns with the end dates of TableB for this account, in this case I want out put as,.

Use TableB start and end date and get the amount of TableA

    ACCOUNTTableB_BEGINTableB_ENDAMOUNT
    B777705/04/201306/05/2013200.0000000000

Example 3: On behalf of D5555,.

Even a TableA line corresponds with TableA, there are two other rows in TableA matching start date with TableA and correspondence with the end date with TableA, in this case, that I put as,.

Use TableB start and end date and combine number three rows from TableA for this account.

    ACCOUNTTableB_BEGINTableB_ENDAMOUNT

    Hi Frank,.

Your query/solution works very well, but I forgot to mention something in the first post...

Please insert these additional lines and try the request again.

    TableA Additional lines:

    1. Insert into TABLEA (ACCOUNT, BEGIN, END, QUANTITY)
    2. values ('F9999', to_date (January 2, 2014 ',' dd-mm-yyyy ""), to_date (3 January 2014 ', 'dd-mm-yyyy'), 999.0000000000);
    3. Insert into TABLEA (ACCOUNT, BEGIN, END, QUANTITY)
    4. values ('A1234', to_date (March 3, 2014 ',' dd-mm-yyyy ""), to_date (4 March 2014 ', 'dd-mm-yyyy'), 999.0000000000);

    TableB Additional lines:

    1. Insert into TABLEb (ACCOUNT, BEGIN, END, QUANTITY)
    2. values ('A1234', to_date (March 3, 2014 ',' dd-mm-yyyy ""), to_date (4 March 2014 ', 'dd-mm-yyyy'), 999.0000000000);

    Question 1:

The table has a rows for A1234 account (i.e. the time period different than the ranks for the same account)

    one is A1234 31/01/2014-03/03/2014, A1234 03/03/2014-03/04/2014

Your query that returns two rows for A1234 account (which is what I want), but the amount is messed up.

    ACCOUNT BEGIN END TOTAL_AMOUNT
    1 A1234 31/01/2014 03/03/2014 1100
    2 A1234 03/03/2014 03/04/2014 1100

    Except:

    ACCOUNT BEGIN END TOTAL_AMOUNT
    1 A1234 31/01/2014 03/03/2014 101
    2 A1234 03/03/2014 03/04/2014 999

    Question 2:

In some cases TableA will have an account (F9999), but the TableB don't. I can just this line by making the Left Join right join?

I don't get the results with additional data. I get 1099 for two lines where account = 'A1234 '.  I get 1100 as the amount on the line with the account = "D5555.  You did it other changes to data?

    Except:

    ACCOUNT BEGIN END TOTAL_AMOUNT
    1 A1234 31/01/2014 03/03/2014 101
    2 A1234 03/03/2014 03/04/2014 999

Still, I don't see why you want to 101 for the amount of the first row.  Why not 100?

How can you know which rows from tablea should get attached to what rows from tableb, when the account is not unique?

Maybe you want something like this:

    SELECT a.account

    b.begin

    b.end

    SUM (a.amount) AS total_amount

    FROM tablea a

    ON a.account = b.account JOIN tableb B

    AND a.begin BETWEEN b.begin

    AND b.end

    AND a.end BETWEEN b.begin

    AND b.end

    GROUP OF a.account, b.begin, b.end

    ORDER BY a.account

    ;

but I guess just to your needs, and guessing is not a very good or reliable way to solve problems.

    Question 2:

In some cases TableA will have an account (F9999), but the TableB don't. I can just this line by making the Left Join right join?

Yes, it looks that you want an outer join.  What happened when you tried?  As always, post your code, the exact results you want from the given sample data, as well as an explanation of how you get these results from these data.

  • Data dictionary Synchonizing (reading) - database

    Hello

I work for a while with the Oracle Data Modeler using the JDBC tab for the database connection. The database is a SQL Anywhere and the connection details like: jdbc:sybase:Tds:localhost:2638? ServiceName = Hades & CHARSET = utf8.

Unfortunately, I have still no clear idea in my mind about the relationship of the data dictionary and the database connected (via JDBC adapter).

-What time is read the database? If it is read in the dictionary? I guess that the information of connected database are read in the ODM at startup?

-If a change occurs in the database (for example, a column added, a table, or a foreign key), can I manually update the ODM dictionary?

-In connection details, I can change the local host with an IP address and press the Test button with success as a result. But I'm not sure, the data dictionary now 'filled' with the database newly connected without rebooting of the MDGS?

Documentation of any clarification or pointing to on the concept of how and when the data dictionary and database are synchronized would be very welcome.

    Best regards

    Robert

    Hi Robert,.

Just to clarify that "Data dictionary" refers to the definitions of the database metadata.  File > import > data dictionary is important these definitions in Data Modeler.

(There is no separate "data dictionary" in data maker.)

The blue button on the right (the data dictionary synchronize with model) is similar in effect to the opening of your model and then by doing a file > import > data dictionary (and by setting the option to exchange the target model in step 2 of the Wizard).

Both shows a comparison between the current relational model and the current definitions in the database.
