  You need to load the SATA driver before you start the installation of the OS. Try it please use the files from http://www.fileswap.com/dl/igfH0jVrap/

  I used it on my Win8 preinstalled satellite to install Win7 64 bit. Copy it to USB and install from there.

  I can't get Windows 7 x 64 teacher to install on any drive or partition on my computer. None was longer than one year on my computer, but one day it hung.   Try the following

  Boot from the Windows 7 DVD

  Click Install now

  Accept the license agreement

  When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

  Press SHIFT + F10 from your keyboard

  type the following commands

  DISKPART

  Press enter

  the list volume

  Next, you select the volume where you want to install Windows 7

  Type: select disk #.

  # represents the number of the volume

  Type: clean

  Type: exit

  Resume the installation of Windows 7 and select if you are able to install it.

• Windows 8 can't find my SATA drive (2). It does not appear in disk management, but it appear when I open the tab of properties on any drive and click displays all disks. What should do?

  I bought a new computer (custom build) and Frys Electronics put it together for me.  Disk 0 is a 128 GB SSD, 1 disk is a SATA 2 TB drive, and disc 2 is a 1 TB SATA drive. Readers of 0 and 1 have been configured correctly when I installed Windows 8 but Drive 1 was not found\initialized. Player 2 does not appear in the disk management window, but when I click on properties on any drive, and then on the "hardware" tab, the drive appears.  If I can get windows to find it, I can go configure manually.  DiskPart cannot find disc 2 in the 'LIST' command and when I get in car 2 on other commands that require a number of disc, nothing happens.

  I ran an old Western Digital (the two SATA drives are WD) diagnosis and there are 1 OK to drive.  I tested it and it doesn't have a writing that test a few zeros.  I thought that it was a bad drive and I must return to the seller.  The next morning I tried the WD diagnosis again and this time he passed.  The app then allowed me to format it and it assign a drive letter.

  It seems to be OK now, but I'm not load all the files on it again.

  I'm sorry that you are unhappy.  Many of us have at least one computer for which there is no drivers Windows 10.

  I formatted my Pavilion dv6-6180sp with windows 7 Professional x 64, but it is not all drivers. Everything I had after the formatting was the cd/dvd drive that I used to try to get the operation of the wireless adapter.   There are a number of different WiFi card drivers, the best way to indicate that you have is to go to the Device Manager, it will be under network adapters.

  Someone recommended I try the AirMore app - and it solved the problem completely. With his help I am transferring files via WiFi. Once installed, you have to visit the website for AirMore and 'connect' the handset and PC live, then anyone can do anything that they could do it using a USB connection.

  I am very happy that I found this alternative. It will work no matter what OS you use or what type of phone. A near universal solution. Applause to its developers!
