Anyone who has used a repartitioning software to increase a drive c on Vista Home premium?

I downloaded the free Partition Wizard 5, who claims that you can increase a partitioned drive c small space unallocated other partitions, but others said it cannot be done. I'm afraid to use the Partition Wizard. Everyone uses something like this with success?

  • Lost my software of fingerprint on Pavillion HDX9200 (under Vista Home Premium)

    Hello

I've had arguments with my recently updated to the PersonaPersonal software version...

He blocked me on some Web sites (or so I thought) and I decided to uninstall this software.

Now I really miss being able to connect with a fingerprint.

Where can I find the correct version of this software for my HP Pavillion HDX9200 that can run under Vista Home Premium?

    Thanks for your help!

You must install the fingerprint sensor driver and software separately. Here are links to information and download:

    Hi Hayekk,

There are several things to try:

    ·      Remove and then reinstall the device:

    1. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click hardware and soundand then click Bluetooth devices.

2 Select the device that is not working, and then click Remove.

    3. click on Add, press the reset button on the unit (or make it discoverable following the manufacturer's instructions), check the box my device is set up and ready to be found and then click Next.

    4. If the device is not found, repeat the previous step. When the device is found, select it, and then click Next.

    5. follow the remaining instructions in the wizard.

    ·         Make sure that the device is on and that the batteries should be replaced.

    ·         Make sure that the Bluetooth adapter for your computer is attached and turned on, and that the device is in use and detectable. If you don't know how to turn on discoverability, read the instructions provided with the device or check the manufacturer's Web site.

    ·         The unit may be out of range of your computer, or too close. Try to move closer or a little further away from your computer.

  • Anyone who has used a Mac hosting / Mac VM solution?

    Hello

There are dedicated hosting of Mac and Mac VM services advertised.  Can anyone recommend the experience one of these services that works well, has a high level of security, low cost and suitable for a test environment?

    Cheers, dwbrecovery

You can try VirtualBox, it is working well. A small relatively new on the block is Veertu, both of which have experienced us with running Linux and Microsoft. Veertu offers you a relatively new approach.

Paid solutions include VMWare and Parallels, both are excellent.

  • Anyone who has used the service of third party of AIOS USA?

I was contacted by a company called AIOS USA claiming to be third party Apple support and they sell me a series of plans Apple Care for my MacBook Pro at a reduced price that Apple sells.  What led them to me was a claim that their Global MicroSoft Server showed that a crowd of error returns. They claim they can provide such care as an authorized Apple reseller and services plans.  The planned number was 800-316-2052.  Anyone had experience with this company?

They try to rip you off.

This phone number has been reported as a phishing site that will try to steal your ID.

I would highly recommend against qualifying.

  • I have a samsung SSD. Anyone who has used an external adapter with a Powerbook G4.

I need an adapter for SATA Firewire for a Powerbook G4.

Is what type of SSD?  There, the 2.5-inch drive form factor?

I don't know any "adapter" that goes directly from SATA FireWire.  But you can use any typical external FireWire drive.  If the SSD is a 2.5-inch drive, get something like this

http://eShop.MacSales.com/item/OWC/MSTG800U3K/or other external FireWire for SATA drive exclosures.

  • Anyone who has used '911 for the pc' or 'Impact' for spare parts?

I am looking to buy a new power supply for my Pavilion Elite and want to be sure that it will have all the necessary plugs and plug the necessary types that my device is busy. I also think to a larger unit with more power just to upgrade that I can update the quad core later to finish with Vista.  Just want to be sure that I do not treat a fly by night company!

I haven't used either mentioned companies.  However, if you are in the United States, I highly recommend Newegg or ZipZoomFly.  They are both very repetible.

I love OCZ and Corsair PSU.  They are passionate about quality with a good price.  I agree that you should purchase a power supply at least 500W; 600W would be even better for future updates.

  • Anyone who has used Google Talk yet? It's pretty good

I've used them all the (Qik, Tango, Skype etc etc) ang Google Talk works best, as long as the receiver is connected to Gmail on Google Chrome. The lag is virtually free. It works really well. Talked to my kids with her while I was in the hospital. We have a Lifecam Cinema Webcam MSFT (1280 * 720) and QA & PQ are really good. Can try. Is not difficult to install.

Before the Cam Xoom is not bad for Google Talk. Doesn't work well with IE, but works wonderful Google Chrome.

I agree, it's video works better for me the Xoom, but only with g-mail and chrome on the other end as you said.

  • What Version of Windows Media Player I have, and anyone who has used AVS4YOU?

    ========================================
Since you're running Vista... I suspect that you run Windows
Media Player 11 but as t-4-2 says... go to help / about to check.

There is some info on the executable files on the following link:

    Windows Media Format Runtime 11

More that likely... you didn't * need * files, but personally, I wouldn't
have no problem to install them on my system.

  • I'm trying to run a program back to 7. I know it is not possible, but anyone who has used dosbox? And if I load xp on an external hard drive can I have essentially two separate computers?

How can I run a program back through windows 7? DOSbox? zinstall? Or loading of a xp via external hard drive? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

DOSbox or BACK (or XP or another 32-bit version of WIndows) on a virtual machine.

An external hard drive can be used only if it is connected by SATA (not USB). In this case, it seems to be an internal drive.

If you have Windows 7 Professional, you can use XP Mode. Otherwise, use VMWare Player http://www.vmware.com/products/player/, Virtualbox http://www.virtualbox.org/ or Windows Virtual PC http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx to host your virtual machine.

  • Anyone who has used a black cartridge 98 of KMart?

Toilet I would save money but cartridge jams left more leaks.

Yes... With ink, you sometimes get just what you pay for.

    Personal opinion:

You can get the printer cartridge before it damages the material and the printer stops to protect themselves.

You can use any brand of 'higher quality' of the ink.  The inks of the economy cannot be the same real ink quality and packaging of the cartridge itself maybe not by the more stringent test to ensure that it is safe to use in printers.

In the long term, you can just be better off with the purchase of HP inks for HP printers.  You could buy larger cartridges so you pay less per sheet.

If you had a different brand printer - I'd buy their ink.

For printers tests are performed with the ink clean manufacturers and cartridges - when you try to do the 'tour', ask you just a little differently.  Over time, which can add up.  Maybe the printer will get dirty faster, maybe the rollers stick earlier, maybe the color will not be the same every time, maybe the calibration fails pick up small flaws.

The opinions are mine.  I do not work for HP.  I own and have owned, HP printers over the years - I always used HP ink cartridges and I not related issues on any printer ink.  I do not provide maintenance for my printers as recommended: cleaning, change the cartridges, alignment.

    I hope this helps.
