APEX export report rerun the query

Hi all!

Version-
Oracle 11.2
Apex 4.1

We have a report of Apex that is generated by calling a function. When the report is displayed in the area, when you click Export to export to CSV, the query is executed again. The report should not be exported without rerunning the query?
Y at - it all parameters must be configured to disable the query to new while exporting a report or it comes to APEX?

Thanks in advance.

-SS.

Export a report is a separate application and it will get the requested data and create a CSV file out of it. Thus, the query will always to run once more. The report that you view on your page will always get only that number of lines to the customer as requested in the paging and the condition in your report can ask many more lines.

  • Error exporting Oracle on the QUERY parameter

    Hi all

    I would like to ask for help.

    This is my environment:
    OS: Linux 5.4 32-bit
    DB: Oracle 10.2.0.4

    Here's what I would do:
    Export the selected lines of SH. Table SALES using the query:

    SQL > select * from sh.sales
    where to_date(time_id,'DD-MON-RR:HH24:MI:SS') = to_date('28-DEC-01:00:00:00','DD-MON-RR:HH24:MI:SS');

    My parfile is:

    UserID = ' oracle/sys as sysdba'
    buffer = 10000000
    file = mysales148.dmp
    Journal = mysales148.log
    TABLES is sh. MySales

    First of all,

    export NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P1

    It is probably the cause of your problem if you have unusual characters in your data.

    If this isn't the case, you do not have these "------" in your QUERY. Since you're using parfile, just go with what you would do in sqlplus:

    query="where time_id=to_date('28-DEC-01:00:00:00','DD-MON-RR:HH24:MI:SS')"

  • Report with the query with union and parameters

    Hello

    We have an obligation to create a report with the request, which is the union and parameters.

    I intend to create a database for the report based on a query. But the problem here is that the way to pass parameters in the query.

    Request is something like that

    Select x.a, x.b, x.c
    x
    where x.year =: para1
    and x.status = 'A '.
    Union of all the
    Select x.a, x.b, x.c
    x
    where x.year =: para1 - 1
    and (x.status = 'c' and x.date =: para2 or x.status = 'I' and x.date < =: para2)

    Here x.year in the first select statement must be equal to: para1 and second select statement, it should be: para - 1.

    How this requirement can be achieved?

    Client don't want to separate worksheet, a parameter and another for the actual data that I tried with sys_context and it worked. But the client wants the result in a single sheet only... So I need to change their approach.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

    Hello
    Another option is to convert the request so that you will have the items from the selection
    for example on the query you provided that you can use:

    Select 'Curr' rec_type, x.a, x.b, x.c, x.year, x.date, x.status
    x
    where x.status = "A".
    Union of all the
    Select 'Prev' rec_type, x.a, x.b, x.c, x.year, x.date, x.status
    x
    where x.status in ('c', 'I')

    then, in the workbook, you will be able to create conditions such as:
    rec_type = 'Curr' and year =: para1

    rec_type = 'Prev' and year =: para1-1
    rec_type = 'Prev' and (status = 'c' and date =: para2 or status = 'I' and date)<=>

  • Export DataPump with the query option

    Hi all

    My environment is IBM AIX, Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 database.

    I need a few sets of records using a query in export production. Request is attached to several tables. Since we have the BLOB data type, we export using datapump.

    We have weaker environments, but have not the same set of data and tables, and therefore not able to simulate the same query in lower environment. But created a small table and faked the query.

    My order is

    expdp system / < pwd > @orcl tables = dump.dump1 query = dump.dump1:' ' where num < 3 ' ' directory = DATA_PUMP_DIR dumpfile = exp_dp.dmp logfile = exp_dp.log

    Query in the command pulls two records directly. By running the command above, I see the size 80KO dump file,
    In the export log file.

    I see Total estimation using BLOCKS method: 64 KB.
    export Dump.Dump1 = 4,921 KB 2 rows.

    My doubts are,
    (1) is the correct command that I am running.
    (2) estimate said 64 k, considering that it says also exported 4,921 KB. But the dump file created is 80KO. It is exported correctly?
    (3) given that I run with the use of the system, apart from 2 rows, export all data. We must send the dump file to the other Department. We should not export all of the data other than the query output.
    (4) in the order if I am not using "tables = dump.dump1), the export file big mess." Don't know which is the right.

    Your answers will be more useful.

    The short answer is 'YES', he did the right thing.

    The long answer is:

    Query in the command pulls two records directly. By running the command above, I see the size 80KO dump file,
    In the export log file.

    I see Total estimation using BLOCKS method: 64 KB.
    export Dump.Dump1 = 4,921 KB 2 rows.

    My doubts are,
    (1) is the correct command that I am running.

    Yes. As long as you query is correct. DataPump will export on the lines that match this query.

    (2) estimate said 64 k, considering that it says also exported 4,921 KB. But the dump file created is 80KO. It is exported correctly?

    Estimate is made using the full picture. Since you specify, he used the method of estimation of block. Basically, how many blocks have been attributed to this table. In your case, I guess it was 80KB.

    (3) given that I run with the use of the system, apart from 2 rows, export all data. We need to send the dump file to other > Department. We should not export all of the data other than the query output.

    I will export all the data, but going to export metadata. It exports the table definition, all indexes on it, all the statistics on tables or indexes, etc. This is why the dump file could be bigger. There is also a 'main' table that describes the export job who gets exproted. This is used by export and import to find what is in the dumpfile, and where in the dumpfile these things are. It is not user data. This table needs to be exported and will take place in the dumpfile.

    (4) in the order if I am not using "tables = dump.dump1), the export file big mess." Don't know which is the right.

    If you only want this table, then you order export is right. If you want to export more, then you need to change your export command. From what you say, it seems that you order is correct.

    If you do not want any expoirted metadata, you can add:

    content = data_only

    at the command line. This will only export the data and when the dumpfile is imported, it must have the table already created.

  • Refresh the result table or rerun the query

    I have a requirement, simple but stuck somewhere.

    Jdev 11.1.1.17 Expert level: Mid-Senior

    I have a form of application and the associated result table. It works great and no problems.

    My requirement is that I have a commandlink on one of the column. Clicking on that will open a popup with an editable filed. OK will commit and Cancel will close the pop-up window.

    After that the popup is dismissed with partial trigger, my table refreshes but data is identical to the front. But if I click the Find (Search) button on the query, it shows the data with the results updated which are changed in the pop-up window above.

    How do I update table which re - runs the query and then refreshes the table after the popup is dismissed, or when the user clicks the OK button in the pop-up window.

    Get on the viewObject of this table and call the executeQuery method that

    Write this method in the method AMImpl and then call it in bean managed using the OperationBinding at the click on the Ok button of the dialog box

    ViewObject vo = this.getViewObjectName ();

    vo.executeQuery ();

  • Export reports of Hyperion analyzer v7

    Done tried everything for mass export reports v7 monitor external directory. To my surprise, I see no option of mass export reports to the external directory.

    Please, share your export experience.

    Thanks for your time...

    Hello

    I replied to your previous post, have you tried presentations?

    Hyperion Analyzer Export

    I think that you can export a presentation and all reports within the presentation, as well as exports, it could be a better option than an export even if it requires some work from each end of the migration to create / remove the presentation.

  • How do the query select outer join to a report of the APEX

    Hi all

    I'm Ann.

    I have a select statement that is used to calculate statistics for a month (October 2012 in this example)
    Select ph.phase_number

    Phase two 14.6
    Phase three 12

    I have another list of selection mainly the list of months between two date value.
    Select to_char (which_month, 'LUN YYYY') as display_month

    Oct 2012 Phase One 8.666
    Oct 2012 Phase two 7.66
    Oct 2012 Phase three 5,66

    And it can be controlled by Phase number or month.
    My other colleague suggested I should use a left outer join, but after having tried many ways, I'm still stuck.

    I tried select is

    order which_month)) a left outer join

    (Select to_char (ph.date_finished, 'MY YYYY') as join_month, ph.phase_number)
    sum ((case
    WHEN ph.date_finished IS NULL or ph.date_finished > last_day (TO_DATE (a.display_month, 'MY YYYY'))
    THEN last_day (TO_DATE (a.display_month, 'MY YYYY'))
    Of OTHER ph.date_finished
    END)
    (-ph.date_started + 1) / count (def.def_id) as avg_days
    Ph phase_membership
    inner join court_engagement this on ph.mpm_eng_id = ce.engagement_id
    join in-house defendant def on ce.defendant_id = def.def_id
    where def.active = 1
    and ph.date_started < = last_day (TO_DATE (a.display_month, 'MY YYYY'))
    and ph.active = 1
    and UPPER (ce.court_name) LIKE '% '.
    To_char (ph.date_finished, 'MY YYYY'), group (phase_number) rollup) b
    On a.display_month = b.join_month

    but then I get an error
    SQL error: ORA-00904: "A." "" DISPLAY_MONTH ": invalid identifier

    I need to view a report on the APEX with option for people to download at least format CSV.
    Already 1 inteactive report in the page, so I don't think adds another interactive report without using the iframe trick.

    If any of you have any ideas, please help.

    Thank you very much.

    Ann

    Hello Ann,.

    Frank has done a very good job. I am also impressed.

    Is in regard to your correction to his question, the problem is on this replacement you did

    last_day(TO_DATE(am.which_month,'MON YYYY'))

    AM.which_month is already a date type, and you don't need to convert it to this day.
    Here is the correct way:

    last_day(am.which_month)

    There are also sometimes with the data you've posted have no line for this month. So I also added a function NVL to display 0 under avg_days for these cases.

    Here is my corrected query:

    DEFINE startmonth = "Aug 2012";
    DEFINE endmonth   = "Oct 2012";
    WITH  all_months  AS
    (
       SELECT ADD_MONTHS(to_date('&startmonth','MON YYYY'), ROWNUM-1) AS which_month
       ,      ADD_MONTHS(to_date('&startmonth','MON YYYY'), ROWNUM  ) AS next_month
       from all_objects
       where
       rownum <= months_between(to_date('&endmonth','MON YYYY'), add_months(to_date('&startmonth','MON YYYY'), -1))
    )
    SELECT TO_CHAR (am.which_month, 'Mon YYYY') AS month
         , ph.phase_number
         , NVL(sum ( (CASE
                     WHEN ph.date_finished IS NULL OR ph.date_finished > last_day(am.which_month)

        end loop;

    return l_query;
    end;

    I want to get the query of the IR on my page 3. And I run;

    get_report_query (3)

    That's what I get:

    The regio_id seems ok, because when I ask this region_id of apex_application_page_regions, id 1278226325207011749 is returned.

    Page 3 is also correct.

    I tried to follow Denes Kubicek his blog (Denes Kubicek ApEx BLOG: interactive report query is).

    What I'm doing wrong here?

    We use the Apex 4.2.

    The '0' in line 31 should be "nIR_id".

    What is the purpose of the lines 24-26?

  • Best way to display a report of the hierarchy tree to APEX 4.2

    I have a hierarchical query spans four levels over two tables.  The application works very well and also includes columns hierarchical sum (i.e. the parent displays the sum of all children) using functions.

    I wonder what is the best way to view these data for users?

    At the moment I think I would have a collection now my connection with the edition special 'show' column.  Then I would include HTML to define values correct show/hide and refresh the report when you click on a node.  In my view, this would probably work, but may not be the best way.

    I disassembled my request for necessary columns (no column of the sum) and the tree APEX regions work well for this.  Y at - it a plugin alternative jquery or anything that people with what will give me the directory structure 4.2 native while allowing me to display additional columns with links?

    If I need to provide more info let me know!

    I'm going to use today to test these ideas, and if they don't work I'll go with the classic report hack, I thought.

    AEC: I'll try the plugin and report back on the question if I can get the links to work.

    The plugin code is clear and simple. However, the links generated HTML text in the query as:

    ...
    '' || apex_escape.html(ename) || '' employee
    ...

    does not work out of the box as the plug-in is escaping in HTML output column values:

        -- Render all other columns
        FOR j IN 3 .. l_value_list.count
        LOOP
          sys.htp.p('' || sys.htf.escape_sc(l_value_list(j)(i)) || '');
        END LOOP;

    This can be changed to allow the links:

      -- Render all other columns
        FOR j IN 3 .. l_value_list.count
        LOOP
         IF l_value_list(j)(i) not like '' || l_value_list(j)(i) || '');
        END LOOP;

  • Several apex 3.2 export reports

    Apex 3.2 - so no plugins can be used.

    I have a page with 12 standard reports.

    Is there anyway, I can create a process that on click of a button, all reports will be exported to Excel, with a different worksheet for each report.

    If this is not possible, are there other possibilities

    There is no built-in way or simple APEX only for this. Should be possible using the BI Publisher integration if it is available (I have no experience with it).

    Do it from scratch will result in a process that read the SQL for each report in the opinion of the APEX, by running and generates a spreadsheet that contains the worksheets in a LOB by using something like Tom Kyte OWA_SYLK or XML (depending on the version of Excel target and requiring a working knowledge of Excel formats) then download the LOB. Definitely not negligible.

    Plug-ins is not possible in point 3.2, but most of the heavy lifting in this would be done by database PL/SQL or Java packages, so you should probably look for them...

  • Display the results in a report on the APEX of two datepicker page elements

    Hi all

    I'm trying to get some data to display in a report by choosing between two dates. These two dates, I select by datepickers, then a button is pressed to submit and the report to appear.

    I made the conditional statement on the button, the button submit as "searchdates", then a branch that is conditional (when the button is pressed, the application is set to "searchdates") and the branch is: 'On Submit - after treatment.

    the query behind the report is:
    select * from desk_allocation
    where (DESK_ALLOCATION.DATE_FREE >= TO_CHAR((:P5_DATE_FROM), 'DD-MON-YY')
          AND DESK_ALLOCATION.DATE_FREE < TO_CHAR((:P5_DATE_TO), 'DD-MON-YY')
          AND :P5_DATE_TO IS NOT NULL AND :P5_DATE_FROM IS NOT NULL)
    AND DESK_ALLOCATION.ALLOCATED like 'No'
    and the sample data that I use to test:
    DESK_NO   DATE_FREE     ALLOCATED     ALLOCATED_TO
    66         20-AUG-10       No             -
    75         19-AUG-10       Yes            Superman
    60         16-AUG-10       Yes            Spiderman
    When I run the page, it is said no data displayed.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Using APEX v3.2

    Thanks in advance :)

    I tried with your data with this query, remove the additional supports, SQLDeveloper. There is no record for 'No', then the data found was the correct result. Changed to 'Yes' and got results.

    select * from desk_allocation
    where DESK_ALLOCATION.DATE_FREE >= TO_DATE('10-AUG-10', 'DD-MON-RR')
          AND DESK_ALLOCATION.DATE_FREE < TO_DATE('20-AUG-10', 'DD-MON-RR')
         -- AND :P5_DATE_TO IS NOT NULL AND :P5_DATE_FROM IS NOT NULL)
    AND DESK_ALLOCATION.ALLOCATED = 'Yes'

  • Export to Excel button rather than the export report link

    I use of Denes Kubicek export to Excel. The customer wants an Export to Excel button rather than the link in the Section of the report for the report's export. So I created a button named "Download to Excel" and created a branch of the Branch of URL of return to function under a condition "When the button is pressed" with "Download to Excel" and action of the branch is

    Start
    return ' f? p = & APP_ID.:0 : & SESSION. : D OWNLOAD_EXCEL:no:T_REGION_ID, T_EXCEL_NAME, T_PAGE: #REGION_ID #, MiniProfile_firms, & APP_PAGE_ID.';
    end;

    When I press the button to get the following "File download" windows error:
    < pre >
    Do you want to save this file, or find a program online to open it?

    Name: .xls [1]
    Type: Unknown file Type
    < / pre >

    Why is that happening and how can I solve this problem?

    Robert

    Robert,

    http://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/OTN/f?p=31517:108

    Create a hidden item: p108_region_id and it calculate whether it is NULL using the suite of applications:

    SELECT region_id
      FROM apex_application_page_regions
     WHERE application_id = :app_id
       AND page_id = :app_page_id
       AND region_name = 'Employees'

    Make your button a button URL with the following link:

    f? p = & APP_ID.: 0: & SESSION. : D OWNLOAD_EXCEL:no:T_REGION_ID, T_EXCEL_NAME, T_PAGE: P108_REGION_ID, my_report, & APP_PAGE_ID.

    and there you go.

  • DA on updatable report items Sql query using the class

    Request Express 4.2.5.00.08

    10-11 g Oracle

    I have a page, so it has a link/button when he clicks then modal region will appear. Modal region has a as a table (Type SQL Query (updateable report)). All work very well so far.

    However, I've now added some complex things.

    for example. My region is based on the query of SQL Type (editable report).

    SELECT id, name of family, Traghetti, area, d_date, start_time, End_time, displacement, role of table where id =: P10_ID;

    I can also add a new line of course.

    My problem is, (point) Shift display based on the value of Start_Time point) and so I made sure the class for two items.

    for example, Start_Time (' class = "st_tm" ') and Maj ('class to = "Shift_time" '). Start_Time is based on (LOV) and shift is off the point in the sql query, but change the Start_Time.

    And now, I created the DA.

    1. event: change

    Selection type: jQuery Selector

    jQuery Selector: .st_tm

    Condition: No.

    1. action: set value

    Set type: Expression Javascript

    The JavaScript Expression: $(this.triggeringElement) .val ();

    The element affected: P10_X1 (it is a hidden item)

    2. action: Plsql Code

    Code: start to null; end;

    Page items to submit: P10_X1

    3. action: Plsql Code

    Code: start

    If: P10_X1 between '03' AND '11' then

    : P10_X1: = 'EARLIES ';

    elsif: P10_X1 then '12' and '18'

    : P10_X1: = 'LATES ';

    on the other

    : P10_X1: = 'NIGHTS';

    end if;

    end;

    Page items to submit: P10_X1

    NOW another DA

    Event: change

    Article (s) P10_X1

    Condition (in list)

    value (HASTY, LATES, NIGHTS)

    Action:

    Set type: Expression Javascript

    The JavaScript Expression: $(this.triggeringElement) .val ();

    Affected item:

    Selection type: jQuery Selector

    jQuery Selector:. Shift_time

    Well, I look forward all the above work well, but I'm having a problem.

    If I have more than 1 lines on a modal region and if I change the Start_Time value for a row then MAJ (point) is changing but he effect on all lines.

    I want, if I make the changes on the line line # 2 while only 2 # MAJ (point) must be not performed any other lines?

    Help, please!

    Kind regards

    RI

    I found the solution me thank you.

    I removed all the DA mentioned above and created a new.

    1. event: change

    Selection type: jQuery Selector

    jQuery Selector: .st_tm

    Condition: No.

    Scope of the event: dynamic and light on page load.

    Action (Javascript code)

    ROW_ID = $(this.triggeringElement).attr('id').substr (4);

    If ($(this.triggeringElement). val() > = 03 &. val() $(this.triggeringElement))<= 11)="">

    .Val ('EARLIES') $(«#f11_» + row_id);

    }

    ElseIf ($(this.triggeringElement). > 11 val() & $(this.triggeringElement). val())<= 18)="">

    .Val ('LATES') $(«#f11_» + row_id);

    }

    ElseIf (. val() > $19 (this.triggeringElement)) {}

    .Val ('NIGHTS') $(«#f11_» + row_id);

    }

    also created another DA because I have a disabled report items.

    Event: before the page is sent.

    $('_:_disabled').removeAttr ("disabled");

    and finally created manual process of DML for tabular and everything works fine. (Insert, Update, and delete).

    Kind regards.

  • Problem with Apex 5.0 report with a query that runs in SQL Developer

    Hello

    I have a query that runs in SQL Developer without problem, but when I use it in a classic report, it displays following:

    error report:

    ORA-06502: PL/SQL: digital or value error: character of number conversion error

    The query is:

    select
     T1.ID_ATTACHMENT,
     T1.BLOB_CONTENT,
     T2.ATTACH_CATEGORY,
     T1.FILENAME,
     T1.ATTACHMENT_DESCRIPTION
    from ATTACHMENTS T1
     LEFT JOIN REF_ATTACH_CATEGORIES T2
      ON T1.ATTACHMENT_CATEGORY = T2.ID_ATTACH_CATEGORY
     WHERE T1.ID_ATTACHMENT IN
      (SELECT ID_ATTACHMENT FROM REL_ATTACHMENTS
       WHERE REL_PART_ID = 1
       AND REL_ID = 64146);

    And the output of SQL Developer is:

    2015-08-12_01-03-36.png

    I have following Setup for the BLOB_CONTENT column in the classic report:

    2015-08-12_01-06-25.png

    Any ideas what is causing this problem?

    Thanks in advance,

    Sergio

    I don't have notes with me, but I think that the content of the blob must be selected as:

    DBMS_LOB. GetLength (blob_content) as blob_content

    and check that you have included the primary key in the results.

    The maximum size of a column report CLOB value is 32 KB. However, the maximum size for the content of the line of the full report is also 32 KB (including the HTML markup), so you can be hitting this limit because of the size of your 10 K CLOB data + the rest of the line.

    According to the database character set and the characters which that contains data, the character encoding may use more than one byte to represent a character.
