Second step:

font size: 3.8 rem;

}

.t-in-head-logo a span: after {}

font size: 1.8 rem;

content: ""-this is a sample application. ";"

}

Question 2:

  • Model Navigation bar from apex 5.0 with more then 2 levels

    Hi @ all,

    I just created a list of navigation bar in the apex 5.0 with 3 levels (parents, children and grandchildren).

    But the grandchildren is not displayed on the page.

    Here is the example:

    https://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/Apex/f?p=65660

    Login: demo_login/demo

    Level 1:

    10. close the session

    20 & APP_USER.

    Level 2:

    30 apps-> Parent & APP_USER.

    Level 3:

    40 test _ > Parent Apps

    Is this a known problem or I do something wrong?

    I am currently working on a single sign on app and I want to show the user his apps available as a submenu of his user name.

    But in some applications, I also have an element of settings under the user name so I need 3 levels.

    Hi Macro,

    I'm not sure you can do this through the navigation bar that probably it is supported as level 2 only. Several levels, in a universal theme, they provided https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=14926:1300:NO: 'Menu bar' as a list template that can be your help.

  • Display image in the Navigation Bar table list customary at the APEX 5

    Hello

    We have a customer table XXUSER_PIC, where we store all the images the user instead of wwv_flow_files. Now each time a connection to the user then we wanted to show the image of custom table in the Navigation bar of the custom table blob column list.

    We can easily add user icon by selecting image/class in the list navigation bar, but the point is to access the image from a custom table.

    STEP7: I did the class/Image attached vacuum according to the screenshot.

    Fix. In this list template properties of the Image/class are used to specify the icons from the icon library great fonts. So, you cannot use this property to specify a custom image resource. You want to replace the icon with a picture of the current user default, so leave the field blank.

    "Step 8: Adding Image/class of '.

    From FILE_ID according to my application process for now only FILE_ID.  Joint screenshot. Is this correct? Or any other change is required?

    No, as indicated in the property of the class/Image is not used here. Add the element of the image number 3 in the section attributes defined by the user at the bottom of the page.

  • HTML-db Apex Navigation bar (call for Ms-Excel)

    Hello world

    HTML-DB 1.6 in my Navigation bar, I have an icon for Url link

    J:\Trai\Dashboard\Reports\Marco_excel\Example.xls "target = _blank".

    I tried it and it is opening Excel "XLS" file, I managed to do this. But, in my Excel file, I can't run my Macro because it is not activated. A colleague told me that my problem is because Excel opens but in Internet Explorer. I want to open it directly in Excel.

    Could you help me?

    Kind regards. Good bye. Eric

    Using VB script, you can open excel in a browser, but this limits what browser you use and also will probably require your users to deal with windoze prompting several times to allow this works... Why exactly do you want to do this?

  • Universal theme 42 - too long text in the Navigation bar

    Hello

    I use APEX 5.0 (1000 likes ;-) with Oracle 11.2.

    I created an application with theme universal theme 42.

    Navigation should look like this (for example, without sense):

    1. presentation of the members

    1.1 first presentation of car deveopment

    1.1.1another point to navigate

    2. the means of production

    3. last menu point

    3.1. .....

    3.1.1...

    3.1.2...

    ...

    The text is truncated or not completely display. For example only "1.1. "first conception of ' appears in the navigation menu. The rest is not visible.

    Is it possible to stop the wrapping text in the navigation menu. Looking for the corresponding model, I need to change, I found the 'Link List' model with the CSS classes "t-LinkList - nowrap ' to 'Disable the text wrapping' but I don't no weather is the right way to solve the problem or where I have to activate the Option nowrap.

    Another, perhaps better elsewhere would attend the larger navigation bar. But I can't find the right place in the style sheet to change this.

    Any suggestions?

    Ben

    Oh, I found the solution. I created a custom in the theme roller css, save under and so on.

  • How to access the CSS files for the plugin Enkitec-database file directory navigation bar

    Apex 4.2.3.00.08

    Enkitec-NavBar-1-2-0-for-4-2

    Hi I am faced with the same question that: https://community.oracle.com/thread/2563229

    Enkitec vertical list Navbar appears momentarily until it is formatted by CSS and it seems OK.

    It is really annoying and makes pages look stupid. This problem is identified as a performance problem and can be solved by putting the support of Plugin files in directories of files instead of the database.

    I created a directory on the database server: D:\102175\Kav\Plugin

    I created a Directory pointing to the file directory database:

    CREATE or REPLACE directory PLUGIN AS "D:\102175\Kav\Plugin".

    GRANT READ THE PLUGIN DIRECTORY TO THE PUBLIC;

    GRANT READ THE PLUGIN DIRECTORY TO ANONYMOUS.

    GRANT READ THE PLUGIN DIRECTORY FOR UTVIKLING.

    I also copied the CSS etc support plugin files in the files directory.

    In the Apex plugin I changed the prefix 'file' #PLUGIN_PREFIX # D:\102175\Kav\Plugin

    Now all the Navbar formatting disappeared and now the navigation bar appears only in form of vertical list.

    I also tried to use the PLUGIN as 'File prefix' same thing.

    I'm not Apex or Web expert so I'm sure there is something that I misunderstood.

    Hope some of you are able to help out me.

    Sincerely

    Arild

    Hmmm, well it does not matter if you do the mapping. The embedded PL/SQL gateway is well integrated in the database in PL/SQL.  All your resources (images, CSS, javascript, etc.) are still be extracted from the base in order to be served to the client. Those in the file system are not in use after installation.

    This is going to be heavy.

    I think you may still be able to make some optimizations by moving the assets of plugin for a name that is mapped by the gateway.

    In your apex installation, take a look at apxldimg.sql see how records and assets are added.  You can then add the plugin files.

    See if that helps.

    In addition, you can follow the comments of Patrick on the post you are referencing and move the inclusion of files to the top of the page AND change the plugin so it does ' t add any more files.  Now in theory, you can skip the download folder and the image and add the plugin assets as standard apex post and reference them with #WORKSPACE_IMAGES # #APP_IMAGES, or # (if you add specifically for an application). But you still want to include them at the top of the page.

    Sorry... I know it's a lot of things to take and much heavier than expected.

    Thank you

  • Displays logged in username on top in navigation bar entries

    Hi guys,.

    I use authentication scheme custom where I kept my user name and their password in the db table. Authentication works very well. Now I need to display registered user name at the top right in the navigation bar entries.

    How can I do? Please explain step by step because I am new to oracle apex.

    For example, here is a url to an apex application made by someone. You can see the name of user logged on top. If no user is logged on, "person" is displayed.

    RememberMe home

    Concerning

    Waqas

    Hello Waqas,

    This is usually done at the level of page template. You can put right after the HTML in the page template to display the user name.

    &APP_USER.

    If you change the "page template", you will see the #NAVIGATION_BAR substitution string #. You can just put above HTML before #NAVIGATION_BAR #.

    BTW, what is your Version of APEX? What theme are you using?

    Kind regards

  • Navigation bar seems to be missing from the tree view

    Hello

    In the view of component (classic), in the column of the shared components, there is a section called Navigation bar. This section seems to be missing in the new tree view (at least in the component column shared). Is located somewhere else in this point of view, or is this a bug of omission?

    Thank you

    Hi Arie,

    (1) is missing from the new Navigation bar tree

    This is the intention, because the Navigation bar has really nothing to do with the page and it's the same for all pages is why we decided to not to show more in the new tree to reduce clutter on the screen.

    (2) have you checked your "Navigation Bar Entry" model in your page template. It contains placeholders for the image?

  • Dynamic content in the navigation bar

    How can I keep a dynamic content in the navigation bar?
    In the section "Definition" of the model of breadcrumb in the region "before first", I need to have dynamic content.
    Another application, where the flow of the page is not finalized yet need access to the Page of the APEX.
    If the navigation bar will be like:
    You are here: Other_Application_link_1 > Other_Application_link_2 > Other_Application_link_3 > APEX_Page_1... so now...

    I will get the entries in a column in DB. I thought to write a PL/SQL shortcut, then it using "SHORTCUT_NAME" in the region "before first' from the navigation bar model. But the shortcut does not work in the section definition of breadcrumb.
    I wonder if there is a work around that.
    Any hint is appreciated.

    Thank you
    Booth.

    Hi Math,

    the text (label) of a breadcrumb can be dynamic, simply using page or application elements in the breadcrumb tag.

    for example: "Person & P400_PERSON_NAME."

  • Apex Page navigation

    We have several means of navigation to get to the same page. Let's say Page 5 which is a visible page and can navigate to other pages that could, potentially, navigate back to the same Page 5 with different information about this... All our pages that allow entry have cancel that goes to the previous page in a P #_PAGEGO field on the page, he came and a branch that returns to the P #_PAGEGO after the page has been sent. The problem is that we can enter a cyclic with P adjustment model #_PAGEGO P #_PAGEGO only stores a single value and if the same page (IE Page 5) is obtained by different pages (as in the first sample path 5 from the Page was first of all of the Page 3 Page 4 and later versions), return simply navigate us through the page 3 and Page 5 in the end AND we want the user to one click back to the Page 6 or Page 7 (user will probably need to use it much)

    Here are a few sample tracks
    Page 1 (home) - > 2 (Interactive Report)-> in Page Page 3 (entry)-> Page 4 (entry)-> Page 5 (view only) -> Page 3 (entry [different information))-> * Page 5 (display only) * [NOTE: P5_PAGEGO has only Page 3, Page 3 Page 5]

    Page 1 (home)-> Page 6 (dashboard)-> Page 5 (view only) ->... [You can return to the page 5 times]

    Page 1 (home)-> Page 7 (HTML Page with information sorted for the user) - Page 5 (display only) >->

    Page 1 (home)-> Page 7 (HTML Page with information sorted for the user)-> Page - > 3 (Entry)... [You can return to the page 5]

    Page 1 (home)-> Page 7 (HTML Page with information sorted for the user)-> Page - > 4 (Entry)... [You can return to the page 5]

    Our path breadcrumbs Page 1 (home)-> 2 (Interactive Report)-> Page 3 Page (entry)-> Page 4 (entry)-> Page 5 (view only) missing Page 6 and 7 Page since it is a path to the site map

    We thought of several solutions but do not know if one is feasible...

    (1) page 5 have a Javascript Button with onclick = "javascript:History.back()"; " -> This will help alleviate the problem, but we were told to never use the back button of the browser in the Apex.

    (2) to have a second round of bread crumbs on the Page (just the Page 5)...-> not as ideal, but bread could allow the user to one click to pages not on our initial list of the navigation bar. Original breadcrumb is on Page 0 and we do not know how to add a new set of bread crumbs just to the Page 5.

    (3) dynamically change bread crumbs? -> Can be a lot of work, probably not really the penalty effort and solving problems, not sure if this could easily be done at the Apex.

    Suggestions or comments on possible solutions...

    I did the test and created a branch of type 'Branch to the Page identified by the (name of the use element) element' and it works with a point of application. There is the name of the item that is entered as APP_ITEM without and commercial and a point at the end. Thus, it definitelly works as I have suggested. See here:

  • display the text in the navigation bar when the user connects

    Hi all

    I'm (still ) on Apex 4.2.6.

    Currently, I have in my page templates, the following code snippet:

          <div class="logoBar">

              <img src="#IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/theme_125/images/logo_.png" />

              <h1><a href="#HOME_LINK#" id="uLogo">#LOGO#</a></h1>

            <div class="userBlock">

              <span>Username: &APP_USER.</span>

              #NAVIGATION_BAR#

            </div>

          </div>

    I have an obligation to display the user name (APP_USER) and of the company the user works for point Application AI_COMPANY, only when the user is connected. When the user is not connected; instead of these elements, I must show a connection link. Well, I know how to display a link to the login page, only when the user is not authenticated, using the navigation bar. Currently, when a user is not authenticated; the page shows: username: person. It's because he's in my page template. How can I show only the user name when the user connects? And then only display the name of the company?

    My first thought was to add an item in the navigation bar. But these elements comes in the form of links. Is it possible to add a navigation bar element and let it display as text? Of course, I could write a dynamic action on page 0 to remove the link, but I'm looking for a nicer sollution or better.

    I have apreciate your help!

    I take it, you use the same model of your home page and login page.

    You could use 2 different models or get out your elements in your model and put them in page 0.

    You can then make them conditional based on the number of page

    Akshay,

    Edit the portal skin and add below style (it's just will hide the icon):

    . WCTopNavActions. WCActionsIcon

    {

    display: none;

    }

    If you want to completely remove, then you have to customize the taskflow "oracle/webcenter/webcenterapp/view/taskflows/navigation/SpacesNavigationTopPanel.
