Apple Watch 2 GPS series

GPS can be used for other features such as instructions for the cards, or is this just the year (followed by running routes, etc.)?  For example, I can leave the House without my iPhone and navigate somewhere using the built-in GPS?  Thank you!

I'm sure that built-in GPS THAT will work for the cards, but also exercise apps - I would be very surprised if it isn't. Having said that I can't see these things mentioned in the User Guide to look at when to talk GPS, it does only however seem to mention the use of the watch without your iPhone for this type of training activities.

  • The GPS on my Apple Watch can locate me

Hi, I use a Apple Watch with watch OS 2.2.2. So my problem is this, since a few days that my watch stopped to tell me what time the sun rises and sets. (see the upper left corner of this image below)

I looked up online and found the easy solution for this: Use Plan to locate the Apple Watch with GPS.

But it did not work. He did not because the problem that I am facing is different from what I initially thought it was. The problem is that the Plan is not able to find me more.

If I open the Plan, it will load for always for my position, as you can see on this picture below.

I tried to restart the application by holding down the home button and taking again. It will make even the app load indefinitely.
I also tried to restart my Apple Watch completely, and as you can probably, it is not always help me.

So now, I couldn't have tried a lot of things yet - but I'm running out of ideas to solve this problem.

Can you help me please? The rising sun is such a great feature on the Apple Watch!

    Thank you very much.

P.S.: Please note that the problem occurred also on watch OS 2.2.1

Apple Watch doesn't have a GPS. It uses the GPS of the iPhone connected to GPS to find your location.

  • Can Apple Watch track a swim in an endless pool

I work in an endless pool, which is actually a treadmill for swimmers. You will stay in one place and swim your heart while it blows a current against you to keep you in place in the small pool.

I see that the watch can track laps, which is controlled by setting the distance of your pool so that he knows what is a length is, according to me. I also see that it can follow a free bath, and I guess it's GPS.

No one knows if she can count the strokes? Or does anyone have an overview if you think it would work to track the swimming event in an endless pool where 1) don't stop and turn around each 'x' distance and 2) you also do not travel any distance to what a GPS is?

    Thanks in advance...

    N °

Apple Watch uses GPS to track your progress in Open water swimming mode and titles towers during swimming in the pool swimming mode. The endless pool does not have to happen. As to count the strokes, I think it's (quite well know for that), but they do not report this information. Because they do not know to what extent you swim by race, they can use that to calculate your distance. However, I can see a future update where they have an Endless Pool mode when you enter the speed of the pool (assuming that you can set as a treadmill).

  • App for Apple Watch series 2 allow the use of heart rate, gps, and manual splits?

I run about 60 miles per week and I plan to change my Garmin Forerunner 620 for a series 2. However, it would be totally useless to me if the watch does not intermediaries, as many of my workouts are pretty accurate. So, is it possible for me to intermediaries on the watch, and when looking at the splits also see the GPS info and heart rate for the said stock split?

    Hello

To mark a segment (for example one lap) during running exercise using integrated workout app, you can double-click the screen. The display briefly shows the stats for this segment. Segments can be examined after training through the activity on the matched iPhone application:

You can see that an application of third party best suited to your needs.

To learn about the characteristics of third-party applications, I suggest you consult the descriptions of app developers and their support resources. For example:

If you don't find the specific information you're looking for, you can ask the developer directly. This is usually possible through their support resources (you may need to create a free account in order to be able to connect). They may also be open to feature requests.

  • Apple Watch series 2 GPS 'routing my race. "

With the new GPS feature on 2 series watch and in order to have the 'road' to appear under the summary of your workout in the application of the activity, you need to carry your iPhone with you on your shopping, walks, hikes, etc.? Series, that I have completed without my iPhone and just my watch, the road is not provided in the summary of the workout. However, the passage that I just finished everything with my iPhone and shows, the road appeared under the preview of the workout. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this and if indeed do you your shopping or hiking with only your watch (no iPhone), the map of your route will not be included in the summary...

    Hello

It is not necessary to bring your iPhone with you so that your itinerary to be mapped in registration of the workouts in the open air with Apple Watch series 2, which has a built-in GPS. Your itinerary can be accessed later on the iPhone in the app of activity (data will be automatically synchronize on your iPhone once devices have reconnected).

Be sure to save your workout through the app to training using the most appropriate activity type (e.g. run the outdoors).

It may help to check the following settings:

    • On your iPhone, go to settings > privacy > location Services.
    • Check that location Services is enabled (higher setting).
      • If the setting is already enabled, try to turn it off, make a break for a few moments and then turn on again.
    • In the list of apps slot, check that the Apple Watch Workout > while the help > while using the application.

  • GPS number race Nike Run Club with the Apple Watch 2 series

I have my Apple Watch 2 configuration with the Nike Run Club app.  Repeatedly, I tried to run without my iPhone (6 current execution 10.0.2) and for some reason that GPS doesn't seem to work. While I open a session is running, pace/time is completely off and it isn't GPS data capture because cards do not appear in the app once I connect and send the run. Also, I assume that the GPS does not work because the pace is so far off the coast. It seems to me that it is logging tracks using the accelerometer, which has not yet been resolved as I want to be able to connect the tracks using GPS.  I need help. Has anyone else had the same help as he attempted to use this app? • Can I pair headset Bluetooth and a chest strap heart rate monitor Bluetooth at the same time with the Apple Watch 2 series

Does anyone know if you can pair Bluetooth headset at the same time and heart rate monitor strap chest Bluetooth with the Apple Watch series 2? I can't find any info about it online. • Apple Watch series 2 protective case

    Hello

Has anyone found a real Apple Watch S2 case? You are looking for a minimalist design, to display the watch itself without inhibiting its look, then perhaps a clear case (case bumper or other) will do.

All cases online specify that they are cases Apple Watch S2, but look further into what they are not, as many of them do not account for the new air port (hole on one side, not two) and are also not the right depth, and cutting a port speakers are designed for S1 S2 not.

You will need to protect my camera, I do use it in the gym a fair bit and worry about the damage.

    Thanks guys and girls!

    Hi RudeBwoy!

I had the same problem. As far as I can see, case or bumper for the AW 2 series do not exist. I talked to Spigen, catalyst and a couple of others and any sites third 3rd say... manufacturers confirm that their AW products are NOT compatible with series 2 Watch, and that they are working on it!

All thoughts of good screen protectors? !! They would be compatible? Some protection is better than nothing!

Let me know if you hear anything!

    Thank you
