IM asking this because I heard a lot of people who have had the same problem and they just received a new since it was not repairable. My front screen is slightly cracked too, which would prevent me from getting a replacement? I have also the Applecare warranty of 2 years, incidentally. Thanks in advance

  Yes, the search bar is normally to the far right of the main navigation bar. Sometimes if you find yourself with too many buttons, some controls on the toolbar 'overflow' on a drop-down list.
