• The correct application design - coded hard vs dynamic

  We have a table, 2 columns.  ID and NAME.  When our application install, the script writes 3 records in it in the following order: "Administrators", "Users", "visitors".  If you would think, the data in the table looks like:

  ID - NAME

  1 - Admins

  2 - users

  3 - visitors

  Then, when it comes to code the application, it is best to think that "Admins will always have an ID of 1, so I write a SQL statement that may make reference to: WHERE ID = 1 - these are the admins.

  Or should I be dynamic, where I'd build a function called: getIDByName() and you can pass the name 'Administrators' and it will execute an Execute SQL and return the number 1.  That would mean that when I write the SQL statement above, I would say:

  .... WHERE ID = getIDByName ("directors") - Admins

  I have a feeling that this dynamic is the best approach, even if it means I'll duty code in several functions to automate it.

  The column 'ID' is an autoincremented identity column is controlled by the database underlying If Yes, I would err on the side of caution and not assume that records will be written in the order you want.  What you could do is query this table once and caching results in an application-scope variable, and then query the need to recover the ID according to the needs (save several round trips to the database to retrieve the ID over and over again.

  Muse is a product that allows you to easily create desktop Web sites and mobile without any programming. You can create HTML content using muse and use Adobe Phonegap to build an application using the code, however if you are looking to create an application without coding, take a look at Adobe Digital Publishing Suite instead of Muse (you can create an application using InDesign + DPS).

  I do not closely with your Mac model but on my laptop (MacBook late 2008), this is where the CPU is, and that's what generates heat, especially if you do intense CPU activity such as games or video processing.  With warmer summer temperatures, it may run more hot.  There are several utilities that allow you to monitor temperature sensors in your computer.  Hardware Monitor their fact is anything but a commercial utility ($).  I constantly run Mac Fan Control that displays the temperature of some of my sensors.  It does not have the CPU temperature, but I made a comparison between the temperature of the led that she appears and it was showed the average of the two displayed in Hardware Monitor CPU temperatures. First of all, I made sure that my fan and ventilation was clean and I opened the computer and used canned air to blow out the dust. I felt with treatment video it still worked more hot that I liked so I used a utility called CPUthrottle to cut back on the use of the processor in my application of coding. Of course encoding takes more time, but I'm happier with a cooler machine.

  I don't know about the RAM so.  I'll make sure that stick you with a reliable brand that is known to work with the Mac as Crucial and OWC (Macsales.com).  Mac can be really sensitive to something other than the RAM of superior quality.

• Synchronization of VST: Ok with RFSG, problem with DAMA

  We strive to synchronize 2 VSTs (5644) with DAMA OR and NI RFSG.

  So far, we have been able to sync the RF Transmission of the VST 2 with RFSG, down a less than 100ps difference. It's excellent!

  But we have not been able to renew this success with DAMA: we have time differences in the order of between 2 VST 100us.

  We believe that we follow all the indications of the documentation of DAMA, as shown here:

  We ensure same buffers are empty at the beginning of the acquisition by manually empty the VST buffer before calling RFSAInitiate.

  NOTES:

  Our application is coded in C++ only.

  We do not and cannot share the LOs between 2 VSTs, as we Rx/Tx at different frequencies.

  Does anyone have an idea of what we could try?
  We attached the sign of e/s OR our acquisition. Please, let us know if you see something wrong.

  I solved my problem with the creation of a control of typedef with my chart. When I first open the control to customize it, I notice that if I try to change something on the chart legend Dungeon are dwindling.  Probably, the size it is in the EXE file. So I tried to adjust size so that the size does not resize itself in the window customize. Then, with the setting of the size, I create the exe and the size has not changed.

  I use an Officjet 8600 pro, with a 64-bit windows computer 8. I have an account and it is ready and connected if you go to hpeprintcenter.com. or what is this address. So I can use eprint leave my mail on windows phone service 8, and I can use eprint service on my windows computer 8 as long as I go through MS outlook. However, when I try to use the eprint service using the email provided with windows application 8, it does not print the attachments, and I get an email saying cancelled work. Anyone know why this is happening? They are not compatible?

  Then it must be something about how mail app files attached. I saw similar problems in the past with some applications of e-mail on Android phones. I would recommend not using this application if you want attachments ePrint, but for everything else, it should be good. Really, there is nothing that can be done about it, it has to do with how the application is coded and when these applications are designed, they certainly aren't design with ePrint in mind.

• Information accuracy and error sensor

  Read for example the Z of Gyro on my PB fixed axis does not have one zero result. He reads about 4-5mrad/s.

  Especially for the gyroscope, but in general for all sensors:

  What is the accuracy? that is, what is the smallest angular velocity of change which can detect the gyro?

  What is the error? i.e. X rad/s + / y mrad/s?

  Usually this info is not available because the sensors can often change.  If an application is coded for playbook using noise/precision/error information specific to the sensors playbook, the application can if not run well on another product.

  That being said, take a look at sensor_info (type sensor_type_t, sensor_info_t * info), it contains some of the info that interests you.

  There is no API that gives access to the shortcuts or convenience keys. You can display information to the user how to configure something like this.

• How to explain gaps in V$ ACTIVE_SESSION_HISTORY?

  I'm being responsible for explaining why a feature of an internal web application takes 10 to 30 seconds in our production environment (version 10.2.0.5).  With the help of the user knows the slow (slow has seen his side, in the web application), I managed to determine the SQL_ID of the feature in question: 2xpjrny0dwsyh.

  ASH is a sample, a sample of active sessions every second.

  It doesn't tell you what happened between every second.

  It said you that what was happening on this sample.

  It's enough to diagnose many problems / interpret many situations, but not all.

  It is not a replacement of 100% for a complete SQL Trace.

  In addition to the sql id, you need sql_exec_id and sql_exec_start to recognize a single execution of the sql statement.

  To put this in any context you must look at the TM_DELTA_ * columns that are not always 100% reliable.

  If SESSION_STATE is in WAITING then EVENT tells you what you expect at this sample.

  If you have no CASE, this would imply that your SESSION_STATE is ON CPU - i.e. not actively queued on the EVENT, but are actively working.

  No.ASH does not tell you much about the time cumulative SQL.

  Unlikely, but it may be that he has worked for all / most of the time apart from the specific sampling time.

  We cannot tell. No ASH. You can use the columns TM_DELTA * to see if you accumulated a significant amount (relatively) working during this period or if you did nothing or almost nothing.

  For what you want to know, a level extended SQL Trace session might be more appropriate.

  It will give the image full of what SQL session performed in what order, how many back and forth, exactly what you expected and exactly how expiration time of a defined period of time has been spent in the comic book.

  You should read on the privileges of the application (Chapter 9.1.2 Application privileges coding in http://www.win.tue.nl/pinpasjc/docs/Card%20Spec%20v2.1.1%20v0303.pdf). In General, when you send the command 'install to install' during the instalation of the applet, you must add privileges of request bytes (length of 1 byte and the value of 1 byte). For example, the application with 0 privileges x 04 will define your applet by default selecteable (in other words - automatically selection under tension).

  I made exactly as stated in the article & apparently everything has worked well enough, in other words, I had several UML as rectangles showing columns of tables, their data types, primary and
  foreign key and the arrows indicating the link between each parent/child table.

  Later, I tried to do the same thing on a different oracle instance and a different database by using the same procedure. Yet, something strange happened this time. Developer SQL printed on-screen tables, once again,.
  inside the rectangles with types, keys,... but, there was no arrow showing the link between the tables, I just saw on the grid the selected tables but without any association/relationship shown (as a symbol of an arrow)
  between them.

  I repeated the procedure on another instance of development, with a few test tables that I created with primary and foreign keys just to make sure I had followed the procedure correctly. Once again

  the test was successful, but when I repeated the test on another instance, the same problem persisted, in other words, no arrow (relationship) between tables.

  Any idea?

  This could be due to a lack of privilege on the instance? If Yes, what should be granted in what about roles?

  I think that what you see is that not all databases have foreign keys - applications hard-coding relationships vs let the database to handle this.

  Connect to this instance different oracle and browse the tables affected - have FK constraints defined on them?

  Asynchronous IO?

  This means simply that the appeal of I/O is not a call blocking. By default, when you call fwrite() example to write a piece of data in a file, the appeal will be to the core to be repaired. The application will then wait kernel complete this operation - and can only continue to execute its next instruction of application code when the kernel has completed demand fwrite() and control returned (and a result code) for the application.

  Asynchronous I/o means that the application does not wait. Also, it is names like "+ overlapped I/O +" (Windows). In this case, the application will do the fwrite() to write this piece of data in the file--it will call the kernel and the kernel will immediately return control to the application. The application can now continue.

  When the fwrite() is completed by the kernel, it sends a notification to the application. There are various ways that the notification arrives - but in general the application will have a manager who will receive these notifications and deal with them (for example check the fwrite() for 123 with as complete successful data pieces).

  The advantage of async i/o, that is that the app can do "other things", while waiting for the core complete input/output demands the application passed. She, however, requires the design of more complex applications and coding.

  PS. For more technical details, refer to the MSDN note on how it is implemented and used in Win32/64 applications.

  I created an effect straight project. I want to make four 4 very specific uses.  Unfortunately, I don't know anything about these formats to be given options in AE - CS4.  One of the many 'rendering settings' and 'output module' settings 'make model '.  This seems the best option for me given my future use: 1) for the DVD; (2) for electronic mail; (3) for YouTube. (4) my web site.  I read and reread the rendering and export options in the manual of use-AE CS4 without success in understanding what each option should be used for.  I need help in the translation of pixelpicker-talk.

  Can someone help me about these accurate "rendering settings" and "output module" parameters listed in AE in the option "make and model"?

  I understand - I think the article using After Effects is a very complete resource, explaining the various features and their purposes. But the real world is full of special cases that are very difficult to address in a manual. In addition, it is a moving target. Different best options today probably the best choice, next year.

  Let's see if we can help here:

  1-. DVD: on the technical side, it is always MPEG-2. A very specific taste of MPEG-2. But while After Effects will let you export a file of this type (choosing the MPEG - 2 DVD is predefined in the output Module), it is also true that most of the applications (such as Adobe Encore DVD) DVD authoring are very friendly in terms of letting you wear one (ideally, uncompressed) Quicktime or AVI (which in no way is compatible DVD) and do the encoding in MPEG-2 for you. So it is up to you: you can encode EI using the preset DVD MPEG-2, or you can use an application of coding specialized (such as Adobe Media Encoder in stand-alone mode) or simply let the DVD authoring application do the encoding for you. This should be very simple and in this case, you can simply render a Quicktime or AVI file without loss (there is a model of output Module called "Lossless" who will take care of everything. You can use the default value, the 'best' model to make settings in most cases).

  2-. E-mail: on the one hand, you need something that is really light and as good quality as possible. In the other, you want something universal compatibility, which can be read in all or almost all computers. H264 (advanced version of MPEG-4) format is really good in terms of efficiency, but its ' adoption is perhaps not as widespread yet. Flash Video (FLV) is really good in this regard. In this case, you could choose Adobe Flash Video (FLV) as the format in the output Module and then choose preset FLV 'Flash 8 web small' for this purpose.

  3 YouTube: it's not that simple. The ideal format for YouTube is not quite exist, they insist on the re-encoding each file that you download, even if your file is technically identical in every way to their versions. So what you want here is something that looks good and it isn't huge to download. This all spells 'H264', in my opinion. The details depend on the question of if your Composition is HD or SD, 4:3 or 16:9, etc. Strange as it may seem, the big "iPod" preset for the format H264 is a good starting point. You can customize it to increase the speed of transmission a little (maybe 2 or 2.5 Mbps, against 1.5 Mbps).

  4 website: even once, you need something that most people already have in their computers. Flash Video is an excellent choice, since about 98 percent of users have the Flash plugin. But in this case, you can have more great heights and flow rates, so you can use the "Flash 8 big' defined by default as a starting point. Once the Flash 10 plugin (which now supports the H264 in addition FLV) spreads in the future, you could standardize on H264 in a delivery format, with different settings for each type of destination.
