Hey guys... I just did a clean install on the operating system, (although always with Yosemite), after going with a hard drive in addition to the solid state. I had to - my Apple Quad Core Intel Xeon Pro (early 2009) was running slow, it was impossible to get anything done. It is faster now and who is therefore the good news. I'm on 10.10.5. The Processer is 2 x 2.93 GHz. memory is 17 GB. 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC. Graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512 MB.
Final Cut Pro X (version 10.2.3) will not find or show me any of the recent events and projects. I'm nervous because we are talking about a special project that was a year in the making. I would not have expected this much trouble and I know there's a protocol with the Apple software, but still, it's maddening. I moved the RAW files, but no matter where I point the app to look at, it's problematic. He is just a much older event with sporadic files. I tried to reissue of links and different opening, FC and the browser does not. I have dialog boxes telling me I don't have permission, or to save the single file, he sees in another place. It's the proverbial rabbit hole.
So, any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I really need to get back to work!

On Firefox Help window that means, means "You are currently on the channel to update by default"?
Firefox can not perform an automatic update when running as a normal user on my system (it runs just when connecting to the update server) so normally when it warns me of a status update I run the application as long as root, open the Firefox dialog box and select Update Firefox.
I was informed recently of a Firefox 7.0.1 update (or 7.1 not positive) then I ran Firefox as root and open the box on Firefox.
This time, instead of showing me "an update is available. Click here for the update. "it displays"you are currently on the default update channel.
What does that mean?

Adam.Since the bug 659972 the official policy for switching channels is / was to do a reinstall. See cor - el 849219 in question. It was also released on Planet Mozilla at the time. The documentation on this feature is mostly obsolete.

Satellite M30 - user not allowed to update the BIOS
I have a Satellite M30 (204, according to me, model 60 GB 1.6 GHz) and I try to update the BIOS but get the error message the "the user is not allowed to update the bios. The reason why I'm trying to update it is I just bought a 250 GB hard drive, but the BIOS does recognize that 128 GB and I guess the most up-to-date BIOS will allow the drives of this size, although I have not found any documentation for precise to say so be it.
Someone at - it a patch to update the BIOS (I don't think I have a usb floppy drive drive anywhere) or to access the full capacity in other ways? Thank you.

Usually, the update of the BIOS routine has absolutely NOTHING to do with the capacity of your hard disk drive. You are working with a limited user account? If not, I suggest right clicking on the BIOS update file and choose the option "Run as..". Subsequently a windows pop up and you ask under which user you want to run this program. Click on the "Next user" radio button and choose the administrator. If you have a password for your admin account and then type in, otherwise it should start automatically.

None of the invalidate() method calls are needed in this code.
For efficiency rather than to add the field individually, I recommend that you use the addAll method. In your loop, create an array of fields to add, and then use addAll to add table.
If you do these two things I think that your problem will be solved.
But if not, can you please tell us exactly what are the messages you see when the process is complete.

With respect to the effect, there is no difference between methods. The difference is the way in which the result is achieved. So we can't change the code to show you the difference.
As we are unable to demonstrate the difference, you have to do with an explanation. To understand the explanation, you'll need to understand the thread of events, so if you have not already, please consider this:

If the three options are differentiated by the processing order:
(a) invokeLater executes the update on the thread of events. The transformation takes place at a later stage and the code which is in order after the invokeLater will actually run before the code within the invokeLater.
(b) invokeAndWait also manages the update on the thread of events, which means that all other events that await on the thread of events will be run before this code. But any code after the invokeAndWait will not be executed.
(c) the synchronized option, like invokeAndWait, runs the update of the UI before moving on to the following code. The difference is that the code to run on the event Thread is not executed before code in the synchronized block.
If this is meaningless, so that probably does not matter too much. in general, you should use invokeLater, except if you need to update the user interface occur in the order with your background processing. If so, use invokeAndWait. It has synced are very few occasions where you must use the block, and it should be very small updates to the user interface and you should understand the implications this could have on the wire events.
