Article HTML Packager

Hi, I have problems to the packer article Create an article. I'm only at the stage of demonstration at the moment, but when I drag the file bluearticle01 on the application icon, nothing happens. If I move it the icon of the application in the dock, I get a message saying that this isn't a supported file. Any advice on what I'm doing wrong? I know that I can use the articles already created in the demo folder but do not want to know that it works. Screenshots below. Thank you.

    Hello

First sorry for my bad English.

I installed HTML Article Packager for Mac (Digital Publishing Solution help |) Install tools for DPS 2015). I try to start it, but it closes forever.

My OS is Yosemite 10.10.5, InDesign version CC2015.

Someone at - it had the same problem and managed to resolve?

    Thank you

    Hello

I am assuming that you tried to double-click on the HTML Article package icon. It's not "plant", he expects summary HTML article. You can simply drag and drop the contents of the HTML article in icon Packager HTML Article and it automatically generates the files .article compared to the same directory as the content of the HTML article.

Please refer to this article for more information: items to create HTML for DPS 2015

I guess by link you mean that you have an img element, correct?

Your code should look like this:

Is that what you have in the article HTML?

EDIT: I fixed the link, he already has two directories, it should be one.

  • Packager Article HTML question

Using Yosemite 10.10.4... I am using the trial software in the tutorial and can't seem to get the HTML Article Packer to accept the contents of the folder for the item.   I read of a similar situation in early June posted here but simple he said they were aware of the issue... has been resolved or is there a workaround, or miss me something?

If you just double-click on the DMG file to open package HTML Article Manager, by dragging the folder HTML icon does not appear to work in many cases. No .article file is created. However, if you drag that icon Packager HTML Article in the Applications folder, for example, you can drop HTML files on the icon to generate .article files.

Please, drag your HTML Article conditioner in the Applications folder, try again and let us know if it works.

I couldn't find the answer to this question is why I'm asking here him.

What are the terms of use of this product and license agreement?

    Thanks in advance.

    Emil

    Hi Emil,

Yes, the packer HTML Article is free to use, and there are no restrictions for use.

It is a DPS Adobe utility that will help you generate the manifest section and to generate the .article file format which you can download the portal of DPS.

  • Article HTML w / Social stream?

Anyone out there had succeeded with a social stream (Twitter account) in a display of HTML within the 2015 DPS article?

We have built an article as a page Social feed and all HTML stuff appears fine, but the flow will not resolve on the published page. Any ideas?

Yes, it wouldn't show. We've thought of it. The question was that we need receive the flows that we've tried to incorporate on a server before boarding in the article.

Food occur when we would test to the HTML code on a page in the browser, but once converted into an article, and loaded into the application, it would be is no longer visible.  So, establishment of an intermediate host to fix the connection. Would not connect directly to the server of Twitter.

  • Cannot slip away article HTML

I imported an HTML article alongside our articles about InDesign. On my iPad, I can drag InDesign pages in HTML article, but once I have put on this HTML article, I can't drag several away from him.

It's probably too much an open question, but someone here might suggest which could interfere with the action of drag in this HTML? I don't have this code, but I see a lot of Javascript going on in there, so a suggestion of what kind of thing to start looking would be useful.

Note: I can touch an area not interactive HTML page to call the HUD DPS and access the other pages in this way, but striking swiping left or right on this same area does nothing.

    Ali

Well Yes.  It is completely jQuery - which, on its face, does not scroll unless it has been added to the functions.

  • navto: / / article html links

I have a complex navigation tool, I created using navto: / / buttons in a MSO. Seems a fairly heavy object to paste on each of the 150 items in my folio, however, so I'm trying to recreate in border and export as .oam or .html.

I can't get a simple "navto: / / ' command to simply navigate to another section of the folio - it tries to open a new page in the browser. I feel that I need to use a different command, but I'm a designer, not a developer (obv.) and do not know what it should be. Recommendations?

Screenshot below of the updated code at my disposal in the actions of edge code.

    Thanks in advance

Add the following code as a trigger. By going to the timeline -online Insert trigger

    var myElementVar = sym.lookupSelector ('myElementID');

    $(myElementVar) .append ($("navto://MyArticleLink">"));

    * Note that the 'myElementID' must be the ID of the clickable

    element.

    * You can also change the myElementVar to distinguish it from other variables.

    * You can repeat the above code for each clickable element. Note that you need to change myElementID and myElementVar are unique.

  • Where is the Packager of the article?

I just started the day 30 trial of Adobe DPS and tutorials began to get are dated and refer to some "Article Packager" app to convert HTML-formatted content in the articles.  Where can I find this app?  Tutorials mention also a plug-in for Indesign can export items, but once, he directs me to the DPS dashboard to find it, but it's not there?

  • DPS 2015 New Tools and HTML articles

Hi, I'm not a developer but I use DPS to design content according to apps. So forgive if my questions are too basic for most of the people here.

So far, I have used only Indesign and Muse to design the content of my app, in the old system of DPS. I used the muse to design and export HTML slide shows. I have two questions-

    1. What are the new tools for 2015 of DPS in Indesign. I installed the plug in and note the following tools as part of the 2015 DP in Indesign-

    -Article DPS export

    -New Panel "Overlay".

    is there something else?

2 DPS 2015 may have exported items of Indesign or HTML objects.

For HTML articles, what should I ask my developer? As I said I am not a developer but would need to get content designed by a developer in HTML5. I know that we can articles covert HTML code using the HTML package.

But there are specifications and guidelines for creating own HTML articles for use in the applications of DPS 2015.

    Thanks in advance.

    -MP

    1. you have the correct list.

    2. it's nothing special, you need to do if you're doing a content simple HTML. The only place where you get fancy is if you want to manage touch gestures to do special things, like manipulating a puzzle, slide through a slide show, etc. We have a few new APIs in 2015 of DPS that help authors have explicit gestures control when they want their HTML content. Details and sample code are available at https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadBody/6054-102-1-8012/DPS_HTML_Gesture _API_Examples_20150623.zip.

  • Performance issues HTML Article in the Adobe Viewer on iPad

I created an HTML Article using DPS, but when I get to post it on the Adobe in iPad viewer content does not scroll smoothly and the content is cut and cropped (the entire page is not displayed), it is very judery and struggles to make the HTML below "the fold" so to speak.

I tried two import HTML options in DPS and both have the same isuues of performance/gal.

I have a video in my HTML code, which seemed to be causing a problem where the video streaming was struggling to be pulled through, so I have treid YouTube and Vimeo video streaming and performance/display problem is not resolved. I then tried embbeding a mp4 directly using HTML5 to see if it was a connection/band bandwidth issue and the problem persists. However the videos play, it's just the fact that the container is cropped in half.

Sometimes the HTML item makes it, but then when you scan save the page he struggles to render the above content? Also, then when drag you to the bottom of the page content is also cultivated that was visible before?

I went through every discussion available on the Adobe community and other resources, but all of the mentioned patches have no effect.

If anyone can help or knows the same problems any advise would be welcome.

Article HTML contains some JS too, it is not working properly, but I was wondering if JS causes problems? Just a thought.

Well, I think I can find the answer so I thought I would share with the community incase anyone who knows the same type of questions.

After testing another piece of HTML that also included the video in streaming and JavaScript heavy, I have narrowed the question to my JS. I had two Nivo Slider carousels which were the road to performance issues.

The other test HTML Article scrolls smoothly and video shoots as expected, although from time to time there is a slight delay in the page to scroll up and down, but it's barely noticeable.

I hope it can be useful to others in the future?

  • MUSE NOT LOADING HTML ITEMS on iPHONE

I have created several articles using muse adobe for DPS. Each includes a design of the Tablet and phone. If the test items phone load intermittently.

Several times, then no, they are not displayed on the iPhone of th. They always charge on the iPad, however.

When a html article is created with only a phone provision it loads without problem on the phone.

I can't say it's the issue is with the files of Muse or DPS.

A resolution would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a link to a muse that Im conversion HTML package using the "Adobe HTML Article package."

    _____

The DPS Adobe team seems to think it's a matter of folder structure. But the structure of folders, that's what happening Muse.

Here is a screenshot of the folder as muse hunted:

Here's what I've tried (move the CSS index.css phone so that it is at the same level as the phone HTML):

    Screen Shot 2015-11-04 at 11.37.51 AM.png

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The issue was that muse publishes only one index. It exports for the phone and one for Tablet. So no coding is not not possible. Not with this version of Muse.

Beta version of Muse because it is designed to be responsive will solve the problem. Looks like the release of Muse ready to 2016 is going to solve this workflow.
