Assistant Smartphones Email blackBerry says 'no account activated '. How can I activate?

I have just got my first Blackberry via amazon and connected to my O2 operator using the sim card from my old phone (pay-as-you-go) and my Internet service provider BT Broadband on my home wi-fi.  When I try to send an email I get «no message services configured...» "when I click to access the installation wizard that it brings me to a screen that only shows"no account activated"and proposes to put in place a company account, which does not work.  I also tried KB00510 'options' - 'device' - 'avancΘs systems' - "host routing table" which gives "no entries".  I tried a reboot by removing the battery when running, nothing helps.  BT Broadband say it has nothing to do with them.  I am able to connect to Web sites.  Can you please help?

Hello and welcome to the community!

Given what you describe, you probably don't have the required data plan added to your old SIM. A generic data plan does not turn on send or other exclusive services BB. You need to upgrade your plan to a level that includes the services you want. You need to talk to the O2 this.

Good luck!
