Attachment file
I, foolishly, I opened a Word attachment to an email through Windows Live Mail without factory save as. I looked into users / my account/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows but can't find it. I made a large number of amendments which I don't want to have to redo. I tried looking for the original file name which I think I've learned without success. Help, please! Thank you
When you open this attachment to an e-mail, it is normally extracted into a temporary folder and then open in Word. He can't keep the same file name. It's a long shot, but if there is no chance to recover it, look in the files to temp for this name and *.docx files.
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAME\temp

In any web mail program AOL, Yahoo, my companies, you cannot attach files when you compose an email. By the icon/button attach it says "no file selected" (or when you switch on it). This also happens in safe mode. The browser speed is also very slow. Once logged into my yahoo mail, I get a blank page. In the title bar, it says I have x amount of email.
I reinstalled Firefox and for about 60 seconds, it was fast and yahoo opens up very well and I was able to reach yahoo emails and on behalf of my company. After this he returned to its slow and not be attached and yahoo opening a blank page.
I have run spybot and deleted and malicious software threats found them all. I think something infects Firefox. IE and Chrome do not have this problem. Any help would be appreciated as I am at a loss.
antivirus was not a problem since it was not installed. Firewall settings are fine. I just finally solve this problem. SpyHunter was able to detect two of the hijackers that other programs do not have, and this fixes the problem. As I said in the original post I did not suspect that this was the problem. The lesson is to run several malware programs, until you find one that eliminates the problem, if you think that malware as the problem.

Gmail attach file icon does not work
Is there a way to fix this? I tried to network.http.spdy.enabled to false. No go. I tried to reset all the settings of ie, a suggestion somewhere, no go.
Safe mode - does not work.
This problem seems to be not the case. I can drag files in gmail, but the attach file icon does nothing.
Attach the icon file works under IE, but I am using Firefox.
Is there a fix or do I need a new computer?
In my case, the solution was to let it set while I was sleeping, similar to the way in which the problem was created. I do not recommend this as a solution, but I can say that this is how my problem was solved.
Before going to sleep, I've agonized all day, trying every suggestion I could find, but all without success. I can't say that has had an impact on the solution or not, but I think dying could be required before this will fix itself. Hard to say, I can't do nothing to cause the problem.
Good luck and may the wind blow in the back.

On OSX 10.9.2 cannot attach files to gmail.
I am running OSX 10.9.2. Try to attach a local file to a message in gmail blocks Firefox hang. He gets to the download screen and then comes the beach of rotation ball. Must start the Finder and kill Firefox. I have Firefox "Reset". I also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Can attach files OK to gmail with Safari. Problem occurred very suddenly. No clear update has occurred. Thanks for any help on this problem. Its bad.
Thanks for all your advice, but I found the problem. It seemed to be an Alias of corrupt. For future reference, here is how things have progressed.
(a). I noticed that the "Upload" screen has been failed on the desktop.
(b) I started to remove aliases, and after each deletion, tried to make an email with attachment.
(c) I deleted Photoshop CC alias and "Upload" showed again the default desktop screen, but it machined does not hang, and attachments to the e-mail went normally.
(d) I Redid the Alias Photoship and placed it on the desk. All right.I don't know how an Alias could get corrupted, but I hope that does not portend a deeper, more serious problem. Thanks again for all your help.

cannot attach files to gmail still doing same tried safe mode
Try to set the preference network.http.spdy to false on the topic: config page.
- Network.http.SPDY.Enabled
- Network.http.SPDY.Enabled.v2
- Network.http.SPDY.Enabled.v3
Start the computer in safe mode Windows with network support (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if that helps.

Problems with attach files in Yahoo Mail with Firefox
I use Firefox 4 with Fedora 15. Attach files in yahoo mail does not work. It did not work with Firefox 3 and Fedora 14. Can I attach files in gmail with Firefox 4 / F15 and I can attach files in mail yahoo with Google Chrome. It's just the combination Firefox 4 with yahoo mail that fails. Any suggestions will be appreciated what to look for to resolve the problem. I also tried with all add-ons disabled and in safe mode, but it doesn't help.
I had the same problem on Windows and found that disable the Shockwave Flash plugin seems to fix the problem.

SMTP E-mail with attachment file - table error
Hi, I am trying to send an e-mail with an attached file. The file I want to include is generated by the function "write into the file of measure" with a file specified by the user to input path. When I try to connect the path to the file in VI of attachments SMTP, I get an error saying that the source is a path, but the sink is looking for a 1 d of the pathnames table. Is it possible to convert the path to the original file in a table of paths, or another method to attach the file?
I also tried using the old "SMTP send Email with attachments" feature by converting the path of the file in a string, and takes as the path of attachment, but he also didn't work.
Thank you!
With the help of the tool table of generation in the tables menu should do exactly what you are looking for.

Microsoft said that I need to download a program in order to attatch accompanied files and email... is this correct... If not... How can I do?
original title: how to add files to emails...Depending on your email provider, you should be able to connect to your e-mail via their Web site. Then, you can attach files to messages from their web interface. Then, go to the website of your email provider and see if there is a link to the mail.

Lately when you try to attach any type of file in the folder my documents to any mail server that I freeze - I click on the file and the attach icon and just freeze - I have to force close and start again - sometimes I can reach and sometimes I can't
Search for antivirus interference. Your antivirus software might be blocking the ability to attach or slows it down. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3
Also, instead of using the Insert | Attached file, try dragging the file on top of the message and the last straw and he will become attached in this way.

I'm not sure that it is the answer, but it won't hurt to check.
Find out if your Internet Explorer has all its flaws...
Open menu start > default programs > set your default programs > click on Internet Explorer. He said "this program has all its defaults"?
If not, click on 'Choose default values for the tis program' > tick on each entry on the list > click Savet-4-2
