Audio drift

I have a master HDCAM with stereo mix 29.97i & I try to scan the band to 7 FCP 23.98 p, but have audio drift on the capture.

The system that I use has a Kona card & I can choose the conversion cross without any problem.

The image looks fine in a number of tests, but the problem is that the audio that is captured with the image is out of sync.

Have been doing some research for a similar problem and have not found anything.

Anyone know what could be the problem?

Thank you.

Conversion of output with Kona... good. Conversion at the entrance with Kona... not very good. In fact, with a capture card, you can output and convert the frequency of images very well, but the capture and change, it does not work. Audio drift. Had this 2 Kona, Kona 3 and Decklink cards... and Matrox box. They simply cannot do it.

Therefore, enter it as 1080i29.97 and then convert to 23.98 after the fact, with compressor.

  • Audio drifting on the Constant framerate

I have a problem of audio drift on a specific set of videos when using first Pro CC (2014) on Windows 7. The audio starts well, but ultimately derives from mismatch way. This already happens in the Source monitor. I read that this may be due to the use of the video framerate Variable. However, the video I have is Constant framerate. At first, I thought it could itself or my PC, but when I dropped a Blu - ray rip in first, it worked perfectly. It turns out that this happens systematically with all the videos on the site source (Giant Bomb).

It seems first to misinterpret the images. When I play the video in MPC - HC, duration 02:51:10 bed, but when I put in first, it signals the duration as 2:51:00:03. I checked the settings of the sequence, but they seem to all correspond with the video source. Even when I put it manually, it does not help.

Final score: Kdenlive Linux seems to have no problem to handle the video correctly.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

I've seen some weird issues with video corrupted files as well as video files that plays somehow sync in media players, but what décimalisé audio and video are not in sync. If you can understand how audio derivatives, as by a percentage and his constant on each clip, you can take the audio from each file and change the rate of creation or one audio editing program.

  • Binder/sync Audio and video

I think I'm right on the right edge if this can work:

I have a rough cut of a few clips using audio on the device. I also recorded with a separate audio recorder. I want to sort a secondary audio link to the primary audio and video clips from the source, so that the secondary audio will be added for the first mounting without having me to go and re - synchronize each change with the corresponding secondary audio. Is it possible to sync the audio added in a source file and have a reflection in an edited sequence?

Aligning each camera with audio clip associated with its own sequence, then changing using these sequences rather than the original clips is one of the best ways to proceed in the light of your starting point.

Audio drift should not be apparent on reasonable periods of clip (for example, up to 10 or 20 minutes) depending on the stability of the clock in the audio device.  Many reports were due some manufacturers using audio rates slightly non-standard who first then supposed to be correct and therefore generated out-of-sync issues for about 30 minutes or more.  Not your problem here.

If, when you check the sync audio on a full clip, you know it's OK at first but in the end, then setting a marker for both video and audio at the end and using the rate stretch on the audio to change its length by a small amount to align the markers should give good enough sync for the clip.

  • Correction of the global drift with devices?

When you set up a comprehensive integrated with audio of my Mac and an external interface of Thunderbolt (Zoom Tac-2), which should be the master, and that should be a slave?  In other words, what device should have "drift correction" enabled, built-in or external device?

The clock on the interface must be the master.

  • Audio is not synchronized with the video...

Shot a 16 minute video using the iPhone. He shot without breaks. Just take the lead. When I watch the video in Quicktime audio synchronization format is very well throughout the sequence. But when I import video in first Pro CC 2015.3 and play in the timeline, the audio is synchronized at the beginning and starts to drift and at the end of the video, the audio is average not synchronized with the video. Is there something in preferences that must be put? As, I exported the video and it was always out of sync.

Note: I've imported the same images to FCPX and I had no problem of synchronization.

First cannot process images with variable framerate (such as phones, webcams etc.)

Converted with HandBrake contstant framerate and re-import.

  • adjust audio speed without the use of effect - the quantification in real time?

Don't know how to explain it, but that's probably why I have difficulty finding an answer

In other audio programs you can adjust the speed or the duration of a part of a track by grabbing a handful and make it longer or shorter.

This is used to solve problems like the battery this drift, singers who arrive too early or if you want to maintain a longer note. It relates to quantification, but it did beat matching. This is the manual stretch or shorten portions of the track as the sections of an elastic band.

Right now I have to select each part of the file that I want to change, go to stretch and pitch, adjust the length in another window, apply the filter, and then hear it in context. It's kinda a PITA bread and I was hoping hearing has a smarter way to do this that maybe I'm missing.

    thatguyjay wrote:

Maybe it's simply not a function, you can reconcile in hearing?

As you describe, no. Next audition happens to what either as it's the tool for automatic alignment of speech for the clips, but which is intended for ADR applications where you want to align a track of dialogue precisely with an original replacement.

And that's the point, really - hearing is changing software aimed rather at the audio and video post-production, and is not really software music creation at all - this is why it has no MIDI and a lot of the things that go with. There has been a lot of discussions about this in the past, but Adobe has made quite clear that they follow the money with the development, and music is not just where it is. Is not to say that he cannot do any good music production - I use it a lot for the classic edition - but if I wanted to in machine - creationof music, I would definitely watch Reaper, or something like that, because they have much more appropriate facilities for this.

  • Why my audio and video (mp4 and constant cadence) desync over time?

    Hello people,

I searched for centuries on the web and can not find a solution yet.

The video will drift on a course of 1 1 / 2 h 2 seconds behind the video in Premiere Pro.

In all the other players, the video is just perfect, even when he editing in Premiere Elements.

When searching on the web, we have keep saying its due to a variable Framerate, but this isn't the case with this video.

I even reencoded video with the hand brake and a constant framerate, but the problem remains the same: it works great everywhere, but in Premiere Pro.

Can someone point me to the right direction? I'm going crazy.

  • Automatic alignment of the Audio identical tracks in Audition CC victory 8.0

Hi, I'm working on a film project, and I need to replace every bit of audio from the camera.  I have all the tracks and take my digital recording device, and my video editor has round-trip between me first Pro CC.

My problem is that I need to zoom on two channels, up to the level of the sample, FOR EVERY SINGLE CUT IN THE FILM. Please, someone tell me hearing can align two identical signals that are lined up to 99% of average he to start with (the one that has about 50% less gain) and little noise.  NOTE: Automatic alignment of the speech does not work.  (I never got to work properly for the same destination. Objects, even on the lowest setting, are horrible).

I'm pulling my hair out here and I do it through a minute of the film every hour or so...

    Help!

    -SCP

A way that many productions allows you to sync audio separated takes a video already cut with audio is to use PluralEyes.

    http://www.RedGiant.com/products/all/pluraleyes/

I don't know if that helps in your situation. But as Bob there's no need to go down to the level of the sample, as Steve mentions if the sample clocks were not being matched, then you will never get sample in sync. Usually with digital, video or audio recorders, drifting is not so much that a clip of normal length is out of lip sync pretty accurate on any length of reasonable shooting. It would be only for a total length of video concert where people continue has an hour or more that you would have used the remedy of Steve. Unless, of course, something was very wrong with your device recording audio or video or they were defined on the same frame/sample rate initially.

  • Is there any way of Audio loop using Commons to edge?

    Hello

I get on really well using Commons of edges to add audio to my animations (fantastic piece of kit, by the way - thanks simonwidjaja!).

However, during playback of a sound through the trigger EC. Sound.Play ("mySound"); works brilliantly for the individual instances of sound I totally failed to find a way to get audio files to complete.

I've been struggling with this for an age now and really have not got anywhere at all. I know Commons of edge incorporates SoundJS and I know that SoundJS offers a possibility of audio loop but I don't see a way to get there via the common edge script.

Method of the SoundJS seems to be formulated as:

static SoundInstance play (interruption, delay, offset, loop, volume, pan, value)

And in the municipalities of edge I can find:

    var instance = SoundJS.play (soundId, SoundJS.INTERRUPT_NONE, 0, 0, false, 1);

which I assume (maybe wrongly?) refers to the SoundJS above.

I'm guessing (as has been mentioned by resdesign in another post) that I need to change the following, which appears in the creation complete, in order to make loop happens, but I can't seem to get something that I try to work.

    {src: assetsPath + "mySound.mp3 | ' + assetsPath + 'mySound.ogg', id: 'mySound'},

Of course, I just might be wrong altogether; so as always, thoughts and ideas are very welcome x

    Hi Emmy,.

    1. can I use buzz to create sounds in compositions of edge for the ipad?

Yes. Although there are always the MASSIVELY boring question in which iOS insists on a user-push to activate the game of any audio device. Statement from Apple is that users shouldn't worry forced to download audio not requested which may eventually cost them if they are on a 3G connection paid; so they actually turned off anything that is, or could be described as a function of AutoPlay. This means that instead of being able to include automatic playback of the audio - to make, say, a soundtrack automatically start playing when the animation begins - reading of the said track rail must be user-initiated.

For example, the code: sym.getComposition (.getStage ()). YourSoundName.play (); would need to be placed on a clickable button as opposed to a trigger on the main timeline or timeline of the any of your symbols.

In essence, you will need to provide the user the opportunity to confirm that "yes I want to hear it.

While the feeling behind not wanting to only users of unjustified expenditure is understandable (and commendable) whole concept is a huge pain for animators and a total joke-killer and the best. Think about it regarding underwear man on Bananaskin... instead of users automatically perfectly be able to hear a comedian associated with "whoooooop" sound, they must click on a button to do it. 'You want to hear a funny noise associated with this bit of staging? Click here for Yes'. Obviously there is not actually such a question in reality couch, but you get the drift (The Death Of Fun!). As a 'semi' you can try experimenting with the triggers of mousing on invisible buttons.

    2. users will need internet access to hear sounds each time?  In other words the sounds do not have to be called from an external source every time they are played, or are part of the exported file and therefore only once downloaded.  (I understand that Ihave to manually register the audio file in the file exported from edge).

Not quite sure of it that I ended up working on completely different things; so don't continue Apple troubles long enough to learn more.

    3. can I use my own mp3 sounds and if so, how?

If you want to say, you can use the mp3s that have not appeared on you (i.e. iTunes titles etc) so basically not. Not unless they are free of copyright/rights or if you have obtained a license to use them.

If by your own mp3 sound you mean audio you have from yourself, then Yes, of course

It makes sense to produce an MP3 and ogg for each sound version, in order to ensure maximum compatibility with respect to the reading of the user. Other than that, just name your files, put them in a folder named "audio" (for example) and then, in 'CompositionReady' to Edge, add the following code for each sound (by changing the names accordingly):

    sym. YourSoundName = new buzz.sound ("audio/YourSoundName", {format: ["ogg", "mp3"]});

    sym. YourSoundName.bind ('loadeddata', Function {}

    var point = Edge.getComposition (compId) .getStage ();

    });

Then whenever you want to play a certain sound just use: sym.getComposition (.getStage ()). YourSoundName.play (); on a trigger.

    Hope this helps

  • Audio sync problems

I am a wedding videographer who has a few months ago, from FCP to the PrPro CS5. I am currently working on a wedding ceremony where I have some audio synchronization problems. I filmed the wedding with 3 cameras high definition. The video was filmed all HDV 29.97, with 32-bit audio 48000khz. In addition, I used microphones tie for the spouse and the officer, each record to a device in the WMA format. I used "free mp3 wma converter" (which may be part of the problem!) to convert the WMA in 480000khz 32-bit WAV files. After using HDV Split to ensure that there are no breaks, I have imported/captured everything in first CS5. Once I dropped everything in the timeline panel, I find the part in every audio layer where the officate said thank you, "you can be sitting." I created markers not numbered to the exact frame that starts and all the video layers 3 and 5 audio layers becomes synchronized. However, when I scroll further down the timeline, something badly screwed up and I don't know if it's the video w / audio layers, or if this is WMA files that I have converted to WAV. Any help would be great!

There are several discussions on the use of a separate Audio recorder and the OOS issues. Much discussion was provided by a few of us "old-timers," who bemoaned how things were to be, when the movie camera was attached to the Nagra, and could be configured to provide synchronization of Crystal, but that does not seem possible today with our great digital equipment. Should be easy, but it is a difference in "clocks".

Hope just to get this straight, as I blew it away last wire - one single user with Zoom Audio recorder has found that the Audio derived from 100.3%, used if just the Stretch tool w / maintain Pitch to address that. It took experimentation, but when he found the % correct, it fixed everything.

For questions of a general nature OOS, this ARTICLE could offer some advice, but in the end, I think finding the % of drift, will fix everything for you and with this same equipment, will still work. Test now will be dividend in the future.

For some additional information, I search on this forum for 'sync' and maybe filter the_wine_snob (me), or Jim Simon and read. Jim is the user who found the exact % that was disabled, as well as sound equipment made of marriages.

    Good luck

  • Audio lagging in CS5 PP

Just built a new system I7-980 x, FX4800, 12 G of Ram.  When I capture HDV footage from my camcorder Sony Z5U, I use the preset to HDV 1080i 60.

The line audio and video, OK, but on more audio clips out of sync and I have to re adjust it approximately every 5 minutes.  The files are MPEG.

I see every now and then a red flashing on the screen, like a skipped frame, this could be my problem?  I don't know if it's a camera export problem or a problem of import PP or frame that needs tweeking?  Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    http://Pro.Sony.com/bbsc/SSR/product-HVRZ5U/

Looking at the specs of your camera it has a range of format options for shooting.

(Even some according to Jim Simon, who probably would trade what you have for what he immediately... If you threw in a NAS, some current operating systems and a Gigabyte mixer... oh... .and a Red camera)

However... have you tried a clip from the format of your choice directly on the icon of a NEW ITEM (project cell background) to see what organism sequence suggests aligns with precision your film.

Think about cant of an organization that solves a problem syncing drifting or why the capture method would be at fault.

What sound card you use and what are the drivers up to date?

If you're able to pair your bluetooth with your Mac speaker, but your Mac continues to stream audio from its built-in speakers, you might check to see which device is selected in now Option while you click on the Volume control () in your menu bar. You can also check in system preferences > Sound > output.

OS X El Capitan: adjust the audio output of your computer settings

Note If you don't see the Volume control () in the menu bar, you can add it by checking the box "Show volume in menu bar" in system preferences > Sound.

OS X El Capitan: increase the volume upwards or downwards
