Aurora ALX (mid-2010) - replacing the PSU - problem with Cages HD

Hello

Currently by replacing the stock PSU - it's the original 825W - with a new.

It was not too bad, but I'm stuck now.  All except the 4 HD bays unplugged (I think - there is still a jumble of cables but enough course that's all that's left).

For replacement of power non - ALX users the HD would be the easiest part of the job but they put all their wisdom for the ALX en, not sure of the right terminology, power/sata connectors built into the back of each of the four HD bays.

In all honesty, this seems to be a good idea - done removing the HD, child's play, it pop just by using pop spring of berries in the two versions of the case and if you need to unscrew the HD from the berries.

So that means the HDs are loaded in the opposite way to whatever version of the Aurora case you have (ALX / non - ALX).

It also means the power / sata ports are connected to the right side of the case (facing) or as I now like to call, the dark side that if someone of you have taken the trouble to remove the right side of the case will have realized that it is well enough a Virgin sheet of metal for this purpose, without compartments swing very convenient to get your tools at hand, etc..

I thought right, a bit boring, but I'll have to delete each individual cage HD (housing 2 HDs / berries).  However, after further inspection (and only after unscrewing 6 it which seem to be unnecessary live) there are 2 rivets where the last 2 screws should be.  There are also two metal pegs at the other end attach the berries to the metal separating the power supply / HD from the rest of the PC boxes.  After briefly seeing just snatch them I realized I would be left with nothing to gently caress my HDs and they need little too just love?

Space which is much too small/awkward for even small female hands like mine and tongs do not work because there are too many angles (if there is such a thing as the right claw angle this could work, but good enough will be done on command given the precise angle that he would have to go!).

Attached photos - first one old, just to show the model before I took her hand.

Any suggestions to navigate this madness would be welcome.

Sam.

Here are two photos, the problem at hand

ALX R4 should not be a problem

1, you can remove the intermediate sill later, reinstall it.

women's hands? man up! Remove man screws!

get the longest skrewdriver Philips never made or make a: 1/4 inch bit & sleeve with a large wave of skrewdriver to activate the extension. magnetic tips are the best (for replacement)

Forget the rivets: remove the wall & floor skrews, drag& drop the cage outside. rivets only safe stud-bumps, drag the cage, see for yourself. do not remove the rivets... no
