automate the update of customfield

Hi Experts,

I need help to automate the update of the custom attributes of annotation by importing the name of the virtual machine on the first column and using the new value on the product field on the 2nd column to a csv file.

(csv file)

Name | Product

VM1. Test1

VM2 | test2

The custom attribute annotation must be:

(Section summary Annotations)

VM1 > product: test1

VM2 > product: test2

what I have in mind is the csv import, name, and values, and then perform a loop of this

Get - VM VM2 | Game-CustomField-name test1 product-value

Thank you very much.

See you soon

You mean something like this?

foreach ($row in (Import-Csv-csv of entry, path - UseCulture)) {}

Get-VM-name $row. Name | Game-CustomField-name of the product-value $row. Product

}

  • Automate the update of Windows Server R2 2012

    Hi all

I am currently looking for a method to update automatically to our servers. Rather than use Windows update to install and reboot servers, I want to be able to automate the download and install the updates, but to impose when the server reboots automatically. I know that WSUS automatically installs updates but I don't think there is a way to control when the server should restart. Also apart from that, I know that servers come online without having to login to them manually. I think that the only way to go about this is with a script.

Any help or insight is most appreciated. Thank you.

This problem is probably caused by an extension.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

For the seven days were impossible to install automatic updates at the start of my new computer (10 months) Windows 7. Having correctly installed until last week.

You receive errors related to updates?

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, all programs and then click Windows Update.
    2. In the left pane, click view update history.
    3. Find an update for Windows that has failed to install, and then double-click the update to view more information.
Updates that have failed to install will display failed under status, next to the name of update.
    4. In the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.

Follow the links in the Windows Update dialog box under more information or help and Support to resolve the problem, then try to reinstall updates by using Windows Update in Control Panel or by mail with the error code and maybe someone may be able to help others.

  • updates that have failed the day 1, won't they update automatically the next day? and persevering until they are right? or what I need to do it manually? Dang! Tell me that it is not so...

OK, so I'm at a dead end and had to buy a computer laptop refurb when my hard drive died while he's on leave.  Bought Monday, they had XP on it, but I checked the updates and it had 74 must be installed.

I don't have access at home so I tried to install everything that was needed every day of the library since I bought this laptop on Monday.  On day 1, he said 74 needed to install updates, then I guess that the automatic far did a little more every day.  Finally the Service Pk 3 failed to install for the last 2 days.

Now today I try again, but I'm looking back and see that some other updates in recent days have also failed.

I don't want to go back and install each separately out of 110 undates installed.

My question is: If one day some updates failed, the next day, wouldn't it automatically DL updates that failed the day before, get current?  If I were a computer, I would not keep DL and install new updates until the 'old' have been installed correctly.  So I just reasoning flawed or computers work this way?  Please tell me that I can't go back and redo all of those failed?

Thanks a lot for your help in this matter!

    U

.. .Meanwhile service pk 3 tells me he has finished loading and is ready to install, restart, etc... and I just canceled the installation because it seems that to me... If these other failures are not fixed first there will be the svc pk 3 effect, as well.  Of course they wish that no cat could have answered my question instantly... but no, he referred me to a technical person...

Well, perfectionism causes procrastination... and sometimes it's just maddening... Please help me?

  • Error code 646 when installing the automatic/important updates for Windows Vista (with Service Pack 2)

Recently, I received 646 error code when you try to install the important/automatic updates to Windows Vista. What patches are there for this issue? What risks are there to do not overcome this problem?

    rivercitylady,
Usually with the code 646 error, if you download the update and install it manually that will fix the problem.

  • Get the error Code 'WindowsUpdate_8E5E03FB' 'WindowsUpdates_dt000' when you try to download recommended update using the automatic settings 'updates '.

I just noticed today, pronouncing the 'permission' to Windows to download and install, it is recommended to update it tries to download the update, hit 11% downloaded and then shows the dialog window "update failed", asking me to "Try Again", etc. etc. I googled the error exactly as stated above, and it takes to me an article 'A' answer the Question which recommends a bunch of steps that I have not the first clue of what they mean, or what they will do. I used the option "Microsoft Fix It" after a search, in an attempt to reset the Windows Update settings, but I don't know if it's working or not, although clearly it did nothing to help in the installation of this download. By examining the log of the updates installed, I am able to receive and install other updates, however, it is with a update I see several attempts in the last days to install, and each of them ended in failure.

When we look at the site of Question answer, other than to check to ensure the update is, indeed, the Automatic value, that it is in accordance with the instructions given that's where I get lost. The following suggestion is something to do with the "C:\windows\system32\catroot" folder, I've never even heard of, and am more than a little reluctant to go messing around with this stuff. Can any that illuminate what he done, or point me in a direction to a response that is written in 'English' for those of us without much experience of computer programming? Live is support available for all what is the cause? Any suggestions much appreciated!

  • After Microsoft automatically installs the updates, I am unable to connect to the Internet.

After that Windows update installs on my Vista Home Edition, I can't connect to the Internet. (My updates are automatically installed at 03:00)

If I come back before 03:00 there 12:A.M. as a restore point. I click Restore system to 12 hours and I am able to retrieve Internet Explorer 8.
However, updates are eliminated and the same updates are reinstalled at 03:00 the next day. Never, EVER use system restore to 'Cancel' an update, Service Pack, or upgrade of IE! Instead, uninstall the update, Service Pack, or the IE patch & reboot. If that does not resolve the problem, then try System Restore.

    1. disable your antivirus, all modules of Norton (as applicable), a real-time protection provided by an anti-spyware application (with the exception of Windows Defender; includes the Tea Timer of Spybot, AVG AS guard.exe, SpySweeper guards, etc.), disable the third-party firewall AND THEN select Windows Firewall.

4 manually run Windows Update and install important updates available (i.e. KB976325).
