Average time it takes to connect to a VDI

I would like to know what the average length of time that it takes other people to connect on a VDI on the Internet. A connection using RDP, which connection via a security server, it takes our approxamately 2 minutes from the moment users wherever they select the pool Id in the list to the point their office is usable.

All VDI are powered and put in service in advance.

Any information that would establish if my installation is normal or that it needs futher investigation would be appreciated.

    I would like a step by step process apple a new airport express with time capsule base of connection (cable cat 5 150 Ft) with late 2008 macbook.

    Connect one end of the long Ethernet cable (we assume that you have already tested the cable to make sure it works correctly) one of the three ports LAN <>- on the Time Capsule to the WAN port on the AirPort Express "O".

    We assume that the AirPort Express is new, is powered OFF... and has not been previously configured.

    Turning off the Time Capsule

    Wait a few seconds

    Put in the Time Capsule market and let it run a full minute

    Power of the AirPort Express and run a full minute. Currently, the indicator light of the Express slowly flashing orange

    On the MacBook, click the WiFi status menu icon and search for a list of the new AirPort access point

    Just below this list, click on AirPort Express

    Who will get the "Assistant" operational configuration. It will take a few seconds for the wizard to analyze the network and offer the correct setting in a display that will look like the example below, except that you can see your cameras and the name of your wireless network.

    In short simple name you want to call the AirPort Expressof type... .as OfficeExpress, for example

    Click Next

    Watch the next screen carefully to confirm that the AirPort Express is in place to extend using Ethernet, which confirms that the installation wizard recovers the wired between the Time Capsule and AirPort ExpressEthernet cable connection, so the settings correct configuration will apply.

    When you see the message Setup is complete, click done. Close the installation window, and you're done.

  • How do I measure the amount of time it takes for my pc switch to lock mode, which requires a user name and password to unlock.

    If im playing Solitaire on my PC, and then walk for a few minutes, I always connect when I get back.  He's just going too fast blocking mode.

    I would change the amount of time it takes to switch to lock mode.

    Hello

    Check the settings of the screen saver.

    Click on the desktop and select personalize. At the bottom of the window, click the screen saver icon.

    Make sure that the summary display the logon screen option is not selected. If this is the case, Remove the check in this option box and select Apply/OK.

    Even if a screen saver is not enabled, this option of recovery will force the system to switch to the screen to logon to the selected time interval.

    Hard, my time capsule airport is connected to my network. I also use it as my Wi - Fi and the backup. He constantly falls the internet connection and I have to restart the so he can reconnect. What problem I have?

    What brand and model of your Internet modem you have the Capsule Time (TC) by Ethernet? What exact model of the TC do you have? ... and who is your ISP?

    I'm locked out of my ipod5 that I have not used for a long time, it is not connected to the Internet or iTunes is anyway can I unlock? In my opinion, it works on IOS8. Because I have not used in a long time, it has reset and does not connect to the wifi until I unlock, and I forgot the password to unlock it. I tried to clear up my iPhone but it requires Internet and iPod can not connect to Internet ithe, I also tried to restore the 'home' button and the lock button while connected to iTunes on my computer and that did not work either... Please let me know if I haven't tried something or have missed something.

    Thank you

    You have to follow the instructions for the erasure or use recovery mode in iTunes again. . You do not specify what happened when you tried to follow these instructions, or instructions for iTunes, which you tried to follow, but you will be able to exit the mode disabled via iTunes if you do not have Wifi:

    If you have forgotten the password for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple supports

  • Time Capsule - unstable internet connection

    Using of a new airport Time Capsule and a detail Comcast modem my internet connection is intermittent.

    The display above goes green and then red in no obvious pattern.

    I don't know what to do now. In time, I started this response network screen Diagnostics went all green again. But it won't last.

    I tried the usual reset of the modem and TC. The problem affects my ethernet connected iMac and MBP of my wife.

    Any ideas?

    Re: Time Capsule - unstable internet connection

    Vice versa...

    What model is your TC? If it is earlier than later to get the A1xxx of the base number... If it's the AC model just to say... Version of ca. No number is given which is really poor.

    What model is your comcast modem? Real brand and model base please.

    More important if the comcast is actually a router... That is to say, it has more than one ethernet port. We need to know, it is actually running in Bridge mode or a router... screenshots of TC installing airport utility is more useful than the Network Diagnostics. TBH I'm surprised you even found network Diags El CAPO as they hide it very well.

    Please give me all with summary... as above... nothing will reduce your security. Try it with mine... even if you have a public on the WAN port IP address, it changes every time that you restart the modem... so this process, we can easily have all the details you give... unless you know the serial number of my TC... What's that serves... None...!

    NOTE... If you have a simple modem Arris begins with SB eg SB6121 SB6141 as well as other models and version AC TC... they have well known problems... Apple has not breathed a Word... but there are a lot of posts here on the problem... and it is high time that Apple fix it... because it affects no other routers... just of airports in apple...!

  • Average time of recovery in the alerts log

    Hi Experts,

    I found the following statement in the alerts log. my version of the 11.2.0.2.0 database - 64 bit.

    FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET 60 is too low, to the minimum achievable MTTR 61 rather helps - in my alertlog.

    I have found that whenever you set fast_start_mttr_target to a value other than zero, and while the MTTR is what WE, Oracle Corporation recommends that you disable (value 0) the following parameters:

    LOG_CHECKPOINT_TIMEOUT

    LOG_CHECKPOINT_INTERVAL

    FAST_START_IO_TARGET

    The values that I found in my database.

    fast_start_mttr_target integer 60

    log_checkpoint_interval integer 100000

    log_checkpoint_timeout around 1200

    FAST_START_IO_TARGET integer 0

    My question is will I have to perform no action, what I found in the alerts log. I read on the fast_start_mmtr_target according to my understanding

    The fast_start_mttr_target defines the average time effective to the target for recovery (MTTR), expressed in seconds.

    The default value of fast_start_mttr_target is 300 seconds (5 Minutes). and the maximum we can give 3 600 (1 hour).

    Administrators specify a (delimited) target time to complete the phase of recovery of cache recovery with the fast_start_mttr_target initialization parameter.

    Please suggest your ideas.

    Thanks in advance.

    Without knowing why, this parameter has been set to a specific value (in this case 60), I suggest you not change to something else. In general, the init.ora parameters are defined for some reason, I hope that logic.

    Every day an order number is raised through different systems (identified by COMPANY_ORDERS. SYSTEMID). Now I need to find a day average time an order made, by SYSTEMID to reach a final statusid 7 (x), internalstausid 1430 (y) of his first entrytime in COMPANY_ORDER_HISTORY (IE for an orderid, the first entry of COMPANY_ORDER_HISTORY founded in updatedate or for an orderid, or the entrytime for an orderid when ITEMORDER = 1)

    Tables of archive can be reunited if the fake of the length of the period for which the order is archived.

    Another desired suggestion is table archive is very large.
    It will be appropriate to create a materialized view archived table, not seen that data last month and then join the Materialized view query (since the statistics must be shown to last a year...)?

    Hello

    First, initialize variables bind using some PL/SQL like this:

    -- These parameters are passed by the user:
    VARIABLE  p_statusid          NUMBER
    VARIABLE  p_internalstatusid     NUMBER
    VARIABLE  p_start_date          VARCHAR2 (10)
    VARIABLE  p_end_date          VARCHAR2 (10)

    -- These parameters are derived from the ones that are passed:
    VARIABLE  p_date_trunc          VARCHAR2 (10)
    VARIABLE  p_need_arch          NUMBER

    DECLARE
           end_date     DATE;
           start_date     DATE;
    BEGIN
           :p_statusid     := 7;
           :p_internalstatusid     := 1430;
           :p_start_date := '03/08/2009';
           :p_end_date   := '04/08/2009';

           start_date := TO_DATE (:p_start_date, 'DD/MM/YYYY');
           end_date   := TO_DATE (:p_end_date,   'DD/MM/YYYY');

    -- The following parameters could be computed in the query, but it's messier

           :p_date_trunc := CASE
                        WHEN  end_date - start_date <= 1
                        THEN  'HH'
                        WHEN  MONTHS_BETWEEN (end_date, start_date) <= 1
                        THEN  'DD'
                        WHEN  MONTHS_BETWEEN (end_date, start_date) <= 6
                        THEN  'IW'
                        ELSE  'MM'
                         END;

           :p_need_arch := CASE
                        WHEN  start_date > ADD_MONTHS (SYSDATE, -4)
                        THEN 0 -- dates are all within last 4 months, archive tables are not needed
                        ELSE 1 -- some dates are older than 4 months ago, archive tables are needed
                              END;
    END;
    /

    You don't absolutely have to do that, but it made the query much shorter and cleaner.

    The query itself is:

    WITH       dop     AS
    (
         SELECT     systemid,     internalorderid
         FROM     company_orders

         AND     orderentrydate <  TO_DATE (:p_end_date,   'DD/MM/YYYY') + 1
              --
         UNION ALL
                 --
         SELECT     systemid,     internalorderid
         FROM     company_orders_arch
         WHERE     orderentrydate >= TO_DATE (:p_start_date, 'DD/MM/YYYY')
         AND     orderentrydate <  TO_DATE (:p_end_date,   'DD/MM/YYYY') + 1
         AND     :p_need_arch   = 1

         AND       :p_need_arch     = 1
         GROUP BY  internalorderid
    )
    SELECT       dop.systemid
    ,       AVG (coh.hn_entrydate - coh.h1_entrydate)     AS avereagetime
    ,       TO_CHAR ( TRUNC (coh.hn_entrydate, :p_date_trunc)     --  + (1 / 24)
                  , 'MM/DD/YYYY' || CASE
                             WHEN  :p_date_trunc = 'HH'
                             THEN  ' HH24:MI:SS'
                                END
                )     AS periodstartdate
    FROM       dop
    JOIN       coh     ON     coh.internalorderid     = dop.internalorderid
    GROUP BY  dop.systemid
    ,       TRUNC (coh.hn_entrydate, :p_date_trunc)
    ORDER BY  dop.systemid
    ,            TRUNC (coh.hn_entrydate, :p_date_trunc)
    ;

    The conditions

         AND     :p_need_arch   = 1

    should "short-circuit" queries on the archived tables when it comes from kniown, the: parameter of p_start_date, that they are not necessary.

    The coh subquery matches your original of subqueries h1 and h2. It is more effective to go through the tables only once. The WHERE clause in coh contain the conditions common to h1 and h2; conditions that apply only to the h1 or h2 are transferred in CASE expressions.

    You always want to group by a date that is truncated. According to the: p_strart_date to: p_end_date Beach, you can truncate the next time down, day, week or month. the only difference is the 2nd argument to the TRUNC function.
    When you group by weeks, I used the ISO weeks, which begin Monday and end on Sunday. If you need a different kind of week, it's a little more complicated.
