Back to search results Cache problem

Hello

A customer has just attracted my attention on a problem that seems to touch a lot of my and other sites of BC:

JEALOUS. Contemporary Gallery, prints and Studio.

http://wiredforwine.com/

eCatalyst eCommerce website demo

If you are looking for something (or product site search), click an item, and then use the back button of browser, you get the cache errors.

What is happening at least in Chrome, Firefox and IE. I get these errors:

[Chrome Mac]

Confirm form submission

ERR_CACHE_MISS

Hide details

This Web page requires data that you entered earlier in order to work correctly. You can send these data again, but in doing so, you will repeat any action this page made previously.

Reload this Web page

Press the button reload the data required to load the page again.

[Firefox Mac]

Document expired

This document is no longer available.

The requested document is not available in the cache of Firefox.

Safety precaution, Firefox don't re-request not to automatically sensitive documents.

Click try again to re - apply for the document from the website.

[IE Windows]

Page Web has expired

The most likely cause:

The local copy of this Web page is obsolete and the Web site requires that you download again.

Something to try:

Click the Refresh button in the toolbar to reload the page. After refreshing, you need to navigate to the Web page again, or re-enter information.

The other encountered this problem? Is it because of how BC uses the browser's cache? is there a solution?

Thank you

Paul

This is probably caused by the shoppingcartsummary module.

Whenever you have it, this page will not be cached for obvious reasons, and working up the browser wants to redo the JOB and warns you

Turn it off in the... search results page and use the liquid instead.

  • Oracle result Cache problem

    Hello

In our database, we have the following settings for caching the result:

    result_cache_max_result integer 5

    result_cache_max_size great whole 256256 K

    result_cache_mode chain MANUAL

    result_cache_remote_expiration integer 0

But we use indicators no results hidden in questions, or tables that are enabled for result caching.

So from my understanding, caching the result should not happen.

But we met a performance problem, and when I checked the AWR report I found this:

    latchfree.PNG

And also I found this activity latch:

    rclatch.PNG

However, just set result_cache_max_size = 0 fixed to all our questions. Wait no more. Performance as expected.

But how is that possible? I thought with result_cache_mode = manual and not using indicators of result cache or table modes,.

There should be no result at all caching? Any max_size choose?

Can someone help me understand what is happening here?

    Thank you and greet.

The original poster was not to the point and they actually understand the docs.

Sorry - I'm not okay. As I went to the docs are very EXPLICIT about how to disable the cache of result. If you turn it off, then it is enabled.

The fact that they have tried to do is that when result_cache_mode is set to the default value of the MANUAL, because they showed, it is, while according to the docs 12 c only the results of queries that use the RESULT_CACHE indicator must be stored in the cache of result

Maybe that's where you and OP have misunderstanding. on the RESULT_CACHE_MODE parameter and the parameter values. This seems to be a common misunderstanding.perhaps, because people are not read ALL the relevant articles of the RFSO and only looking at the section for this parameter.

There is NOTHING in the doc of 12 c for this parameter that shows ANY correlation to determine whether the cache is enabled or not.

Refer to the section "Setting the Mode of the result Cache"

    https://docs.Oracle.com/database/121/TGDBA/tune_result_cache.htm#CDEJCGJD

As shown in table 15-3 there are ONLY two settings: MANUAL and FORCE. No adjustment said ANYTHING on toggle or if the cache is ENABLED or DISABLED.

... and they were not aware of all the queries that they had used this trick on.  When you're ready to values by default and don't use don't not result_cache indicator (as much), it's odd to find the cache of your result are so full.

OK - the USER does not use the indicator result-cache to cache the results of the queries USERS. But if the cache is enabled (size not equal to zero) that according to the quote from the doc above has NO effect on the use of Oracle to cache for queries or non-deterministic function calls.

I think a lot of people may be jumping on the server I mentioned first that article explicitly states that you must set the size to zero to disable hide and seek only to the section on setting the parameters.

And that the "setting mode" section is confusing as it includes a paragraph that uses the expression "If you choose to activate the result cache.

That subsection and the r-phrase likely cause people to think that the setting and the off/on State of the cache are one and the same.

When the result cache is enabled, the database also highlights cache queries that call non-deterministic functions of PL/SQL. When caching SELECT statements that call functions, result cache dependencies of data for PL/SQL functions and titles of database objects. However, if the function uses the data that are not followed (such as sequences, SYSDATE , SYS_CONTEXT and package variables), uses the cache of result on queries that call this function can produce stale results. In this regard, the behavior of the cache of result is identical to the caching of PL/SQL functions. So always consider the accuracy of the data, as well as performance, if you choose to activate the result cache.

But if all associated sections are interpreted in their context, it should clear up the misunderstanding.

If you have a support contract, you can submit a request to have the documentation changed to update mode setting (table 15-3) article to explicitly declare the parameter mode does NOT determine if the cache is enabled or not.

  • Search results for problem when I change the OS hardware

    Dear Sir

Whene ever I change hardware like RAM access usb it ask the Windows Activation on a virtual machine, I use Windows XP

You must not modify virtual hardware too often - MS allows only a limited number of changes until they suspect abuse.
Better choose a reasonable amount of vRAM and stay that way.
Also do not remove and readd the USB controller.

It's expected behaviour unless you have a volume license.

I use a tap double quick followed single tap to return to the full search results.

It can be fixed at some point, but my way is better.

  • Typing about: config in the bar always results in the search results of the supplier, which prevents me to change the settings that could solve this problem to address.

I just installed Firefox 29.0.1 and immediately after the restart of the browser, type the addresses in the address bar has given rise to a page of search results instead of the Web page I typed. I know that this behavior is due to a setting in the confuguration, but I can't Setup since every time I have type about: config in the address bar, I get search results! I need to access the configuration, but this little gem in the update prevents me to do.

    • Make sure that you type in the address bar and not in the search bar.
    • Make sure you do not enter a space between about: and config if you use the address bar.

  • Why google search results show me useless result. Is this problem of cookies?

When I search on google every time for the exact keyword to enter a site which I am looking for there show me on the first page of google, but the site is totally new and how google can show me the site that has no rank. Is this problem of cookies? I delete cookies several times of Mozilla, but steel search results are the same. And do not find in the search engine page ranking. What should do?

Can anyone give me the solution how to clean and fix this research?

    Hihi

[Link Spam deleted by the moderator. Please read the guidelines and rules of the Forum, thank you.]

Google sets several cookies, however, if you delete and you are not signed in, then you get results for your browser, language, geographic location, etc. and not for you personally.

Google has a tool that shows you where your page comes up in a search? I remember seeing some thing like that in the webmaster tools some time ago, at least I think that's where he was, or perhaps analytical.

  • Links of search results Google does not load (not a direct new problem)

    Simple problem:
1 enter a term for Google to search for (either using the Google toolbar installed or via his landing page).
    2. the results are returned correctly.
    3. However, the returned links open in the same tab of search result, or in a new tab or a new window.
    4. Select the link in the search results tab does nothing. Firefox seems to be a momentary load try before remaining in the same place.
    5. launch the link in a new tab/window returns a Google long-chain based on the prefix (i.e. www.google...) address in the navigation of an empty tab/window.
6 addresses returned by the search can be copied and pasted into new tabs/windows to load without a problem. Research process of Google to normal using this query works since IE every time.

    Test: "Energizer Bunny".
    Returns the link: www.Energizer.com/Energizer-Bunny/pages/Bunny-Center.aspx
    Has address: http://www.Google.ca/URL?SA=t & rct = j & q = % 20bunny energizer & source = web & cd = 1 & ved = 0CDYQFjAA & url = http %3% 2F % www.energizer.com%2Fenergizer-bunny%2Fpages%2Fbunny-center.aspx 2F & ei = ruYyT47cIYHjiALj69XGCg & usg = AFQjCNHg-eabuCQBx6Bv36V9F4pN4tQRYA & cad = AJLN

Note that this is not the Google redirect problem that many users have encountered, but something different.

Suggestion of John99 above that the cause of the problem is a problem of update of Google I think is correct. The discussion link: https://support.mozilla.org/forums/contributors/708153 indicated that Mozilla is working with Google and that a cancellation would be promulgated.

Although I can say this was done because the Google search function works again (from 4 PM MDT). I tried with some queries from first time and they worked as announced. All features have been restored.

(For the record, cookies were already on my machine but I clear them and hide according to the first answer - that didn't work. No other solves above I only implemented. "So as far as I'm concerned, he was a"problem of Google", it was a"fix Google").

Hope that affected everyone else now has the same experience. Thanks to those who offered their intelligence.

  • Problem with search results

Hello. I wonder if someone can help me. I have a webhelp project (SDC, RH7, FM8) and problems with the search results. The topics appear in the list but when I click on a topic, the page is not found. As far as I can tell, I everything configured correctly in the dialog box properties primary WebHelp layout.

  • Google search results on Mac OSX - disappeared when returning to page

Yosemite running on a MacBook Air. When I search with Google (my default), the results appear normally. However, once I click on an ad, go ahead and then return the results of the search, the search results page is empty. Refreshing works OK, but why would this happen? It is these - last month - but also consistent and what happens with Firefox (vs Chrome or Safari).

Does anyone else have this problem?

Maybe you have increased your zoom level on the results page recently? I suspect that because there is an old problem with going back to the search results page and blank might as well have it, and it seems to occur only when you use a zoom level high on Google with 'instant prediction results' (the default setting). When to return to this page, Firefox glitches when you restore the cache in memory page, in fact, you can see the results for a fraction of a second before it empty out.

Assuming you like your zoom level and enjoy using the instant prediction results, then the solution is to disable the part of the Firefox cached in memory by changing a setting under the covers.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press return / enter. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste sess and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers and change the value from-1 to 0 (that's a zero).

(Please change not all other parameters similar to 0-sounding or you can disable the ability of Firefox to save/restore your tabs and windows open).

Then reload the page of Google results and the test. Who will fix this for you?

  • By clicking on the Google search results within a framework gives white screen

Back to this story is that I use Firefox and I use a simple frames home page where my fave links (ebay, craigslist links primarily) are on the left of the screen frame and google opens up on top of the right frame. When I do a google search, it does what it does and gives me his search results. Normally, when I click on one of the Google results the rest left image and the right will go to the link I clicked on. Not today, if. All I get is a blank screen and in the status bar. The left frame is still there. In this case on 2 computers. That is to say, doesn't have a problem. Is Google? Firefox? Or a combination of both?

Here is the code for my main frames page. I don't need to register a 2nd.

  • Request OA region shows the previous search results when moving between pages

    Hi all

I have a custom Page of OA, which is a query based on a LOV region to search for names of devices. The problem I am facing is once the device name is searched and I'm going to another page through quick links and back on the same page Search Device, it shows the previous search results. I am does not keep AM for all navigation page.

    I already tried things:
4 K I tried refreshing VO using clearcache and reset methods on the VO.
2 get, click on the OK button of the query in ProcessFormRequest region and the Go button I use forwardImmediatelyToCurrentPage. And in the process request method that I question the results manually when will click on a button. Otherwise I do it manually where clause condition 1 = 2 and ensure that the VO returns no rows.

But still, I am not able to get rid of the issue.

The used code is pasted below for your reference. It is urgent. Can you please provide pointers.

    Hi Abhishek,

Please try the code below in your controller ProcessRequest
This will clear the previous search from the cache.
    Example of
    OAQueryBean queryBean = (OAQueryBean) webBean.findChildRecursive ("QueryRegionName");
    queryBean.clearSearchPersistenceCache (pageContext);

    Hope that helps :-)

    Kind regards

  • Vertical spacing of search results display page has expanded without any manual changes having been filed; None of these changes took place in Google Chrome or IE8.

The result of the problem is that I can't see as much of a page of search results as previously. The change came as a result of an upgrade of Firefox version.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I had one of these manifestations of the dreaded "blue screen" this morning and have been engaged in rescue operations since then. These included a couple of successful procedures, a Malwarebytes scan troubleshooting Windows and a race of CCleaner. I noticed that the condition that I pointed out in the view of Firefox search results page has subsequently rectified itself as easily and inexplicably as it to materialize yesterday!

I'll watch points, of course, in the next days and weeks, but everything now seems to be back to norma for the moment. A big thank you to all who have tried to help with this.

  • How can I change the appearance of the web site of the TITLE of each search result?

    Hello

recently the results of a Google search have changed their appearance.
They EMPHASIZE now is each individual "title" of each web site's search result.
This makes it very difficult to read the results actually; they run together.

How can I change the appearance of results BACK to what it used to be, with each title of web site said without running over them with the cursor.

I guess I downloaded automatically a NEW version of Firefox.
Let me go back to the original version please.

    HOW CAN I DO THIS?

    Thank you

To avoid any misunderstanding, Firefox is not a 'search engine', nor Firefox has its own search engine - its strictly a web browser. If you do a search in the address bar, the search engine that is selected in the search bar is used.

In addition to the cookies and cache, as phillip mentioned, if you have a Google + or account Gmail are logged in Google when that happens?

If so, have you tried logging in your Google account to see if it changes anything?
