Background color TestStand UI SequenceView controls

Hello

(I use LabVIEW 2013 SP1, Teststand 2014)

I would like to change the Visual properties of the TestStand UI SequenceView control. (and more specifically the background color)

I found this help page - http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370052N-01/tsuiref/infotopics/seqview_proppage_font_color/

Indeed, what right click on the control and select SequenceView > properties I am able to access certain properties of the control in edit mode.

I have also set the property ApplicationMgr.UseStepListConfigurations to False as suggested so properties apply in run Mode.

What works -

When I removed some columns, change remains also in run mode,

What doesn't work - no

When I change the color of background (in blue in the attached VI), it applies only in the edit mode. In run mode, it returns to the default gray color

Please open the attached VI and see that if you run it, the number of columns is 2 (Run mode), and when you set the property ApplicationMgr.UseStepListConfigurations to True, the number of columns (in run mode) is 4.

Questions-

Do you know how to make the background color applied in runtime as well?

Can I access the properties of the control programmatically?

Amitai.

Ciao Amitai,.

attached you will find your vi with the changes that I applied.

I placed the property BackColor in the while loop just to show that the color changes in edit mode.

The strange thing is that the U32 to the background color is formatted differently than RGB: If you take the RGB color function you get a specific color; If you apply this color to BackColor, you get color with B and G opposite.

This is why you will see in the VI that I traded values of B and G.

I hope this helps.

See you soon,.

  • Problem with the background color of a disabled control

I have a few controls on the top a box colored and elevated. When I disable and gray (round button) control an adverse change occurs in the background color of the control-it gets surrounded by a grey version of the color of the raised area. I would like that the bottom remains the same as it does on the default gray Panel.

I looked through all of the properties, but can't seem to change this behavior.

Thanks for the link, looks that it may have been fixed now for controls tab (?) but no decorations. The solution is to use a tab control to single page with no tab, rather than a raised area. The difference in behavior can be seen in the joint, if we look carefully it is always a small amount of color change surrounding control disabled on the tab.

  • is it possible to change the background color of the checkbox control?

    Hello

Is this possible in LV to change the background color of the checkbox system? When I try to do this via the Colors property [4] I get error 1131:

LabVIEW: You cannot use this property with this control system.
    Property name: color [4]

No, it's what are the control systems for. They adapt to the configuration of the machine.

Use one of the other palettes if you want to change the color.

  • How to prgrammatically to change the background color of a 'number' inside a cluster control

    Hello

using a property node, it is possible to change the background color of a control number.

But how to do this, if this number control is inside a cluster? I would not have found the property to the background color (see attached vi).

Thank you very much and best regads.

    Michael

P.S.: I use a reference, because the color change must run inside a Subvi.

    Hi Michael,

Insert a function "to the more specific" and connect the digital constant refnum. I modified a bit your vi.

  • Can not change the background color of the rose.

Recently, I installed Thunderbird and tried some of the controls when I did. Now, it seems that my default background color is pink. (#ffcccc) I can change it to one of the 70 standard colors for mails that I write during a session. When I close the screen of Scripture and reopen it, it comes back with the wire pink. It shows no pink on my screen but when I send it to someone else it's pink. How can I change this back to white so that it will stay like this? As I understand it, it's the normal way works only until I close the screen of Scripture.

  • Unusual tab background color

    Hi all

I always thought that a tab control on a Panel set to use Windows Visual Style for controls can have two background color of tab pages:

    • Some shade of light gray / white when tabs appear on the top of the control

    • The Panel background color if the tabs are on the other sides of the contrl

I found, however, a tab control that behaves differently, always showing the white background regardless of the position of the tabs: table below compares the control tab on the left, behaving 'normally', with the one on the right which is white. Consider color background of the pages tab cannot be defined in the IUR editor since the control follows the theme of Windows (this remains true for both controls).

Now, I don't know how I got this

Does anyone have an idea on how to do it?

I enclose the above sample Panel to allow you to test.

I found it initially on CVI 2009SP1 on Win7 with CVI2012SP1 TIME machine, but the control displays the same beaviour on CVI2012SP1 too.

    Roberto,

Maybe I misunderstood, as I CVI2013 and therefore cannot make a direct comparison, but I was able to get the same color... Have you tried to deselect 'Use Windows Visual Style for controls', change the color and then re - activate the checkbox? That worked for me...

  • keyFocus research set the Boolean background color

I searched "ctl class [] colors property" before posting.

I changed the background colors Boolean by their properties [] of different colors, but I was wondering if there is a way to scan the controls [] refnums and set background colors based on the main orientation for the true/false.

See the code snippet. I don't see a property of background colors in the ctl class. Is there another under "ctl" class that allows you to set Boolean [] property colors?

    Thank you

There is no property to the control level.  You will need to cast to a more specific 'Boolean' to get the property.  However, you will have to do in a case because it will error if the control is everything except Boolean.

    http://forums.NI.com/NI/board/message?board.ID=170&message.ID=125484&query.ID=927250#M125484

I could not find a way to do it using Labview 8.2.1.

    Thank you

No, you can't.  The tables have to share almost everything except the real value of the data.  As mentioned, you can use a second indicator to indicate your values of interest.  If you just want to change the background color, you can make a table of squares of color which lies behind the numbers array.  Make the background of the numbers (and the transparent table container.  You can do it 'look' as the BG of the numbers is changing.  The FG Color is not as easy.

A (maybe better) alternative is to use a table or a listbox control to display your table.  They allow you to change the colors of the cells.  You will need to convert your table to an array of strings.  If your table is small, the hit on the treatment will be not significant.  But if you have REALLY large picture, you'll notice put worn times on day of the table/list box.

  • CNC - text and background color changes when you use the inc/dec

    Hello

I develop an application that has a sign with a black background and green or red numbers. I have added digital controls and set the text color and text background color attributes accordinglingy. I put the control digital hot or validate command mode and display the arrows of inc/dec, because I want to incr/Decr numbers.

The problem is that when I run the app and I hit arrows inc/dec, then the colors inside the scope of digital control become reversed: black background becomes white and cyan green number. I created an assosicated callback with digital control and tried to force the text color and the background, in the EVENT_VAL_CHANGED section, by using the SetCtrlAttrribute() function, but nothing helped. Also added ProcessDrawEvents did not help.

When I mouse click again outside the digital command, then it returns to its original colours (green, black text background).

Suggestions as to how can I fix?

I want it keeps its original colors at all times, even when I am clicking on the arrows incr/Decr...

    Kind regards

    Hello Roberto,

I thought it would be another way to fix it. Just hoped that I could fix it in setting or by disabling an attribute.

    Thanks for the effort!
