  • Help with a link to background image

    Hello

    I typed the link and has turned into a link and css to set properties either active, visited, hover.

    When you move the link, I want a background image to appear under the first picture below. I am able to put the background image as underscore in the css hover. I put the bottom position (y) to place it at the bottom, but I need more space between the type and the image. If I dictate the number of pixels to move the image down, once it gets to a certain point he cuts. Please see the second image for this.

  • Help me understand the use of background images in "parallax is Fun!"

    Hello!

    I'm new to Muse, and I'm breaking the Parallax is fun how was created. I've been watching the file of the Muse and the source of the page, and I can't understand how the background has been added. The image with the stars a single image file, for example, or the bottom of everything, with colors and gradients, all a long background image? Each of the colored rectangles is a fill, or they are part of a large background image?

    In my file of Muse, these images seem not to be a browser fill - filling browser just appears as gray for me in the room. But I don't know if it's because the assets came not with the file of Muse, or because I do not understand how background images have been added.

    Thank you!

    You are probably confused because you can't select rectangles is home, the stars and the colored background.

    Go to the object menu and click on "Unlock all on the page" to unlock all locked elements and after that, you will be able to select, move and individually control each object on the page. The stars is just a rectangle with a picture fill configuration.

    Hope that helps.

    See you soon,.

  • Please help beginner with CSS background-image

    I use Dreamweaver CS4. I created a site on my computer. D:Data\Local_sites\Gravity_Works. In this directory using Dreamweaver, I created 3 files - css, images and models. In the pictures folder, I have an image - bg_body_winter.jpg. In the Templates folder, I have Gravity-works - Home01.dwt. I have created a new form of the page the template file and named index - test01.html and saved directly in the folder Gravity_Works

    I have this css code in a css in the css folder file:

    {body
    background: url(/images/bg_body_winter.jpg) top of Center no-repeat scroll #C1CAD6;
    }
    {body
    Police: 100% Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, without serif.
    margin: 0;
    }

    I downloaded the site in a test folder on my server at fatcow.com. You can see the page using the link below.

    http://www.openrangeimaging.com/test/gravity-test/index-Test01.html

    The image appears as it should be in Dreamweaver Live View. It does not appear in Design view. It does not appear in the preview of the local file in a browser. The image does not appear when you look at the index file - test01.html that is located on the server by using the link above. The specified background color appears but not the image.

    I'm confused about how I should name the path to the image. I think it must be relative root of the site so that anywhere, I have download the website, the image can be found. Can someone tell me how I should name the path to the image properly.

    I feel that I should know how doing this and looked around for help online and tutorial books I have, but I just don't get it.

    TIA for any help.

    In your linked css file the path to the background image must be as shown below (note points both in front of the bar oblique leader)

    {body
    Background: url (.. / images/bg_body_winter.jpg) no-repeat scroll top centre #C1CAD6;
    }

    If you have this image, the browser is trying to find a 'pictures' folder in your "css" folder and it appears no one.

    If you include the colon before the first slash the browser search the folder 'images' outside your "css" folder and in the folder root site.

  • Please help: content still is not fixed with background image when I resize the browser window

    I am designing a Web site and want my content appear in the same location relative to the background image, regardless of whether or not the browser window is resized. How can I do this? (the content always moves when I preview the page)

    You can pin the object on the page so that it remains in the same position with any size of the screen.

  • Need help with background image a clickable link

    Hi guys,.

    I want to make the background of my site a background of advertising where the background image is clickable.

    I tried a few tutorials, but none seems not to work

    What I have, it's like my CSS...

    #skin {position: absolute;

        height: 800px;
        margin-left: auto;
        margin-right: auto;

        left: 0px;
        z-index: -1;
        background-position: fixed;
    }

    .. .and this as my HTML code...

    <div id="skin"><a href=""><img src="background.jpg" /></a></div>

    It works soon, but the link is only a thin strip of hand and side of the screen for some reason any and don't extend to the background of the entire image.

    Does anyone have any ideas as to where I'm wrong?

    I thank you and hope to hear from you!

    This can be done relatively easily, but it's not very pretty. You will need to use a full great for the background image, unless you plan to repeat, and then assign the clickable containing exactly this size. See code and screenshot below. Tested in FF, Chrome and IE9.

  • Help with background image

    I am one of those old creators shaped 'table' who decided to try the new way, CSS sites.

    I tried to enter a background image to a page and put a table on the top. It did not work because when I added another table inside the main table it reproduces the background which was attached to the page image and not the table.

    So I decided to do it in CSS and strange, this duplication thing happened here as well. When you hit the enter diplicates a band thin of the background of the page.

    Hello:

    You have a class css as follows:

    body, p

    {

    left margin: 0px;

    margin-top: 0px;

    background-attachment: fixed;

    background-repeat: no-repeat;

    background-position: left top;

    background-image: url(images/Agtergrond2S.jpg);

    }

    This applies to the body and p tag.

    So when you enter, you generate one

    tag and, therefore, this image is applied due to the class above as a backdrop.

    I hope I am on the right track...

    Thank you

  • Spry Menu background images? Help, please!

    I am trying to create a horizontal model with a spry menu bar, and I don't like the form of the standard box, so I thought I'd use a background image to display a rounded rectangle gradient in CSS for the outermost container (ul. MenuBarHorizontal) and then a regular rectangle degraded (that it either with or without an abderhamanez depends on the existence of the submenus or not) in the CSS li (ul. MenuBarHorizontal li) but to my great regret, I can't have the rounded rectangle is displayed. Someone at - it suggestions?

    So, how I ended up solving this problem is I have created new classes for the different menus and was able to assign different background for new classes pictures.
