• Change the DB connector via the console design

  I installed the DB connector with the GTC feature in IOM 9.1.0.2. No change is required for reconciliation and it works very well, how ever, I need to reach my own adapter for the provision of a new user. Is it well if I'm going to change the definition of process via the console design, since Oracle and Oracle support documentation we ask is not to change the connector through the console of design? In addition, this connector can be exported and imported as the rest of the connectors or what I create in each new environment?

  It will work, but if you redefine the GTC connector modifications will be overwritten.

  On the side of the support of support for changes to all of the artifacts created by GTC varied per person support and time. It is not officially supported (most of the time).

• External authentication via the PHP script failed

  I'm not a PHP genius - in fact I'm not a backend coder so I'm kinda struggeling with the sample scripts - I still hope for a sample of CF....
  
  I'm trying to run and connect to the CAA via the command line (Terminal). I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong - this is what I'm passing:

  The username and password I spend are correct. However, I get this response:

  Thank you, this is very useful. It seems that I can now connect from the Terminal so that's a good start. Also, I did not see external authentication in PHP for example - I must have been blind.
  I'll see how far I get with that. What I'm trying to do is spawn new rooms based on a template on the fly, and I have some doubts, I'll be able to understand this myself.

• Deployment of the OMB via the TCL script

  I need to deploy all of the mappings in a module in a new target database. I want the configuration settings for
  (1) default operating mode = "DΘfinir base" and for
  (2) default audit level = 'NONE '.
  on all maps.
  
  It seems that the default repository for these parameters (and I can't find where these default values can be managed) are
  (1) default operating mode = "Line in function from set failover" and
  (2) level of auditing by default = "ERROR DETAILS" on all the mappings.
  While when I deploy via the script all mappings have these settings (which we do not want) as it appears that OMB orders use these repository/user settings. Card via interface OWB deployment allows you to change the settings of configuration as requires it, but it's the long answer.
  
  These configuration settings can be overridden in the TCL script via OMBDEPLOY or OMBALTER or any other command OMB parameter so all mappings are deployed/configured as
  (1) default operating mode = "DΘfinir base" and for
  (2) level of auditing by default = 'NONE' on all the mappings.

  I just started working at a new job and prior s/n had left until I'm there. I'm looking at the RMAN script to back up the database of the single instance 11 GR 2 and I do not understand what is the need of two commands 'backup duplication "? Would it not be prudent to also have a command of "overlap of the archivelog backup all ' as well? In addition, what is the point of having the command "Restore database overview" in the daily backup script?

  CONFIGURE EXCLUDE THEM FOR TABLESPACE "WEBTASK_DATA"; (Consider removing unless you have good reasons for maintaining)
  CONFIGURE THE NONE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY; (Review based on your configuration - for Data Guard may be different)

  STRATEGY OF RETENTION may be based on redundancy or a window of recovery. For redundancy, I like 2 or 3, for recovery window I like 7.

• Need help with commands from the console.

  Guys,

  I'm discovering nuer console which is attached to a particular hba.  I have connected to the console and you have run the following command

  cat/proc/vmware/scsi/vmhba1

  It returns a message saying something like "this is a directory" now all I have is a blank screen with a blinking cursor and I can't go back to the root.  Can someone help me to pease keep in mind Im these commands do not at all know.

• Its not sent over the network via the Console remotely?

  When I connect to a Win XP VM via the network by using the Remote Console.  The sounds generated by the VM do not pass to the Remote Console but are heard to the host machine.  Is it possibe to have passed to the computer running the Console sounds remotely?

  As others have said implicitly... the remote console is not the best way to connect remotely to your virtual machines. It is best used only for management purposes.

  The RC is not effective - it uses too much resources on your host - or it has lots of features.

  It is better to use a tool like remote desktop on linux or microsoft using something like freeNX or even VNC flavors.

• Export of the metadata of Essbase via the Calc Scripts

  We try to export essbase cube intersections in a flat file (so that it can be used by SUN)

  We have developed a calc script to export an intersection to a flat file, but the flatfile is written only to the location of the essbase server.
  
  But we need this flat file to immerse in an another server (SUN Server), so what would you suggest is the best way to do this on a regular basis (monthly) and huge amounts of data.
  
  
  PS: Someone suggested me to use a windows batch file to move the flatfile, but I have no idea how to do that.

  Metadata? You mean, right? DATAEXPORT is only going to write the numbers, not of dimensionality.

  I did deal with this issue, so - DATAEXPORT wrote only the box to Essbase. You can try pointing to mapped drives, but it has not worked for me.

  Why not put together a script MaxL who runs the calc script (standard stuff so far) and then either the caller script in cmd OS either copy it to another location (if on Windows, see COPY) or use the MaxL shell command to launch a shell of the operating system and make the copy?

  Another solution would be to set up a routine watcher file FTP'd the file off the drive, then did a deletion of the exported file. You may have to wait five minutes, but that shouldn't be a big problem in Informatica. In fact, I bet that informatica can do 99% of it.

  I plan to use the Ext2GVM function for this. I need to know the syntax of the following parameters:

  I reformulerai what I think you do.

  You have a file name that you want to reference it in a script DAL. This file is NOT the snippet file should be able to use in the creation and mapping of your transactional data, but a few additional files that you expect to process directly from DAL.

  If this is correct, two possibilities come to mind.

  1. assuming it's a file that you can copy using your linux script, copy the file to a consistent name. Your script DAL can then use the code name hard you still copied.

  2. a method that does not have a copy of the file would require that you create an environment variable of the linux script that contains the name of the file passed. In your INI, you must define your own INI, something like this:

  Filename = ~ GetEnv MyExternalFile

  The DAL script would do this to get the name:

  xmlFileName = GetINIString ("MyINIGroup", "Filename");

  When DAL is requesting the INI value, see the logic underlying the ~ GetEnv which is a built-in function to get the environment variable named following. So if you have assigned your script linux environment variables, the name going through now and DAL has a way to get it.

  (Note there is no magic in the name of the INI option or group or the name of variable environment you choose to use.) The magic is to use the ~ GetEnv to retrieve the value of the environment when the option is requested.)

  Second note, the GetINIString function has an optional first parameter to name a context INI. In this case, I do not pretend that you use this setting. Just include a comma to indicate that the first parameter is omitted.)

• How can I make javascript - entry via the console action/target - easier to navigate?

  Hi all

  Someone find that navigate the continuous and uninterrupted lines constituting the blocks/paragraphs of the text in the JavaScript code, entered through the console of the target/action, is of a daunting task, especially when making some amends?

  Other than the obliques, which seem to cause problems when published and displayed through some browsers - does anyone have a cross-platform solution for separating the code in lines sensible and readable for ease of navigation?

• Cf11 instance works only when I start it via the console

  In WIndows Services, my cfintra instance is running. In the CF Instance Manager, my cfintra instance is stopped, and I can not started via this page. In CF instance newspapers I get this:

  And visit my site simply returns a 500 error. So I started CF via CMD instance with: coldfusion.exe - start - console and now my site is running. However, the State of the instance in the Windows Services is 'stopped' and if I close the window CMD, it stops the instance CF. I have 4 instance CF I am managing through the instance manager and CFINTRA is the only one I can't start and stop successfully from the Manager. So, how do you debug this problem?

  

  We tested the creation of multiple instances for our purpose. Once we have applied the fix to the main proceedings, it is applied to the rest of all. It seems to me that the issue is part of your body - CFUSIONINTRA. Can you delete and recreate.

  Sorry, I don't think that there is an automated way to do it.

  Have you looked at in the [TIMING command | http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b31189/ch12047.htm#i2699704] ( NOT the same as DEFINING TIMING)? You have to explicitly say TIMING SHOW when you want to display the results, and the results are relatively to the point when you said TIME START. I know it's quite differetn of what you really want.

  You can write a function defined by the user show_elapsed, who remembered the last time he was called and displays the time elapsed since then.
  You would still have to call it explicitly, but you can build in sub-script calls.

  Run_script. SQL could be as simple as:

• Cannot send command via the VISA test panel in MAX

  Hi all

  I have a small question by using the VISA test panel in MAX.  I try to send a simple command to a device and then retrieve the response data.  I am able to do this successfully through Labview, but for some reason I can't get a good answer in MAX.  The command I sent you is merely a letter (unit address) followed by an end of line character (\r\n in ascii).  In MAX, I simply adding \r\n on the string sent in the buffer (end send on written == FALSE).  All parameters of series are the same as what I have in LV (19.2, 8-n-1).  Someone at - it ideas?  It of a bit frustrating that I just want to make something simple and do not want to have to build a whole routine in LV to do this.
