I'm trying to update the BIOS of my black 3 8 "tablet preloaded Windows 8.1. I downloaded the update file "bccn14ww.exe", but it does not work. I think it's an invalid file. When I click, it requires administrative privilege, then nothing happens. Please someone check. Thank you.

    Thank you very much!

    Hi again,

Maybe you have to ease restrictions on the file bios. Or maybe you have to log in as administrator, that can be done by pressing F8 at startup, then choose the option "safe boot".
Choose the 'administrator' account, and then try again.

Some comments on your situation would be good.

  • BIOS update does not

Hey I tried updating my BIOS with SW updater and I started but whem he warned me when I starte, it would make my Board of mouse and the button does not work I pressed OK and then my antivirus firewall come asking me to allow it update my system, but I couldn't because my mouse and leyboard do not work so now I can't update or even stop what to do I do?

Updated your BIOS, it is always a major undertaking even if the process is simple. If your system works properly, its usually recommended you don't update the BIOS.

BIOS updates are generally irreversible, you must contact the manufacturer for support.

  • Pavilion x 2 10-n155sa: bios update does not install

HP Support Assistant on a new Pavilion x 2 detachable (10-n155sa) said that the needs of the (Doritos 2.0) bios updated. He is currently F04 and offered new is F06.

I accept the option of automatic update and it downloads etc and to sit down again 'installation' for too long. The PC is not suspended and the update can be cancelled OK, to keep the laptop on F04. It seems not really 'out' at all and immediately cancels the installation (I expected to take a long time to regularize).

The laptop is running. I tried several times now and just on the installation screen.

Someone at - it ideas? Is there a problem with this update? Any alternative to the automated mechanism?

    KB10

    Hello KB10,.

You try to update the bios through the HP Support assistant or you download the file directly on the site of HP?

    IF not, I'll try later.

    Here's the direct link... SP73945.exe

But in all reality, If it's not broken don't fix it. IF you don't have problems with the bios, then do not update!

BIOS update are a different animal than updating a driver. If something goes wrong, you have enabled your system in a brick.

And the HP Support assistant says you need to update the bios is not because its necessary. Don't do that if its absolutely need.

    But good luck anyway.

In the download page of my laptop, it seems that it is available a BIOS update, but once I download and extract, after showing my current verson is the 1.10 and this one is the 1.50, it displays an error message saying that this BIOS is not for my laptop.

How could I solve this problem? Is - this file is wrong?

    Thank you in advance.

    > it displays an error message saying that this BIOS is not for my laptop.
This message also appears in case you have changed the system and BIOS Setup cannot check the DMI info available on the laptop.

Have you changed something on your computer laptop IE: new operating system, drivers or tools?

    Hello Clemens,

PHLASHNT. SYS is flash Phoenix NT driver that is necessary if you're updating a Phoenix BIOS. However, you don't tell what Satellite phone model you update or what version of the BIOS update you are using (Windows or traditional). Please send additional information so that we can try to help you with your problem.

  • Presario CQ60 & CQ50 bios update does not

    Hello

I recently had to replace my system card Preasario CQ60 discrete graphics and HDMI port. So, like I always do, I downloaded the service manual and found the manufacturer which is be 488338-001 and bought one on eBay. All right, the Board of Directors works very well until I've then update the bios and realized that it is actually CQ50 card system. So I went ahead and looked into CQ50 repair and to my surprise, they have the same exact part #s.

Now whenever I try to update the bios I downloaded from the HP website, it says unsupported system. Let the HP automatic system finder find my system and suggest me the files to download. So, my question is

    (1) how is CQ50 and CQ60 have the same part of Board of Directors system exact #s.

    (2) how can I change model # of my CQ60 System Board (which is be my system in the first place)

    (3) how can I update the bios.

BTW, it shows no serial # for this new Council, just shows all ZEROS for serial #. How can I update with my original number?

    Thank you

Thanks for your reply. In fact, I was able to solve it by downloading 'Utility HP Notebook DMIFIT 2 10' on the internet. Just so the search on your research will give you hits of links where you can download.

For anyone else having this kind of questions, simply download this utility, unzip it. Make a bootable USB stick BACK (you can use HP USB Disk softtware), copy the extracted files in the root of the USB drive and boot the system on a USB flash drive. At the prompt, type "HPBC280", and it should give you all the options to update your new Board of Directors that came not initialized.

    Hope that helps.

And, in a related note, the update of the BIOS (for my V5 - 122P) is the version 2.08. When I try to install it, it says I have to install first version 2.06.

Version 2.06 is NOT on the Web site. How am I supposed to install it without the previous version?

I just bought this laptop yesterday. Certainly he not did not support already?

    Hello...

Live webcam updater does not update the frimware BIOS, you will need to download and install it directly.

V 2.06 both V2.08 for model V5 - 122P are listed on the Acer website for the suport.

The site displays only the most recent drivers.
You need to change the option tab 'All' because 'later' is selected by default.

If the BIOS update was not properly flashed, the ROM should generally be flashed with a disc of crisis of the BIOS.
This can be done by authorized Toshiba available in your country.
Then get in touch with the ASP to solve this problem.

  • The BIOS clock does not work after upgrade to Windows 7

XW4300 workstation has been recently updated to Windows 7 from XP pro.  After the update, the system clock did not keep accurate time, then I entered the BIOS Setup and set the time here.  After several hours, I rebooted, entered the BIOS configuration and noticed clock BIOS had not changed.  I replaced the CMOS (CR2032) battery with three different batteries and BIOS clock does not always change.

Occasionally, Windows 7 system clock will synchronize to the BIOS clock, which creates the incorrect time in Windows. I can see these events in the system event log.

Is it possible that this problem is related to the Win 7 upgrade, or is it a problem without a report?  Suggestions to control or fix the BIOS clock beyond what has been done so far?  If I can't fix the BIOS clock, is it possible to prevent the synchronization of the clock in the BIOS Win 7?

    ERICO wrote:

Replace the jumper CLRCMOS or CLRRTC to its original position after erasing the CMOS memory and flashed the BIOS? If you do not then the time will be reset whenever you turn off the PC.

I have not found a CLRRTC jumper on the 4300.  Is there a jumper to reset the password (E49), and a CMOS reset button.

However, I tried to reinstall the battery with power supply cable disconnected, and it reset the CMOS all anyway.  Reset the CMOS seems to have solved the problem.  BIOS clock has now begun to follow the exact time again.  I rebooted several times now, and the time is now correctly.

Thank you all for your suggestions.
