BlackBerry Smartphones East Asian language support on handheld

I would like to install the software of East Asian on my Blackberry "BOLD" pocket computer. Unfortunately my (Vodafone NL) wireless service provider only supports multi language software and not the all the software of East Asian language.

So how can my question, I download Asian language support although my offer wireless service does not provide everything?

In the old days, and at that age's a year ago, it was possible to download all the necessary software on the Blackberry site, so on my OS 4.0 I could easily add East Asian language software. Recently, I have ubdated my pocket with the 6.O OS computer and now I am facing this problem. So I now its possible to get the East Asian language support, and after enjoying its benefits for more than a year I can do without.

Thanks in advance!

I understand it, sorry about that.  When you upgraded to OS 6, did you get the upgrade of http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp in the Netherlands Vodafone section?  It says the latest version of the device software multilingual.  If so, then I see why it does not work after reading the following link in the additional information section:

http://BTSC.webapps.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/ViewDocument.do;JSESSIONID=317CD0ACDA755F48A00C6C57C0DE4008?...

I think that there is a solution for this.  You could install a device for the 9700 software uses a software which includes the language pack, because your provider does not support.  Here is an example.

9700 software from
https://swdownloads.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=577BCC914F9E55D5E4E4F82F9F00E7D4
include all languages.  You need to install the software for the device for your phone model, but using another software of carriers. After that, you can install the language pack because the version of the software supports.

Here is some info:

    Hi all

I just got a new Torch 9800 and I have until now very happy with it.

The only thing that I found quite annoying in comparison with the iPhone I had before is that I don't know how I can install any support for entry of East Asian languages (Chinese, Korean, Japanese).

Anyone know if there is something available for download from the Web of BlackBerry site or elsewhere?

    Thank you

Hmm... Sorry to hear that. They are usually not too bad. If you want more help I suggest you discover crackberry.com. I found most of my solutions here and ppl who manages the site's experts on any Blackberry. Check out their forums and go to the Torch 9800 and search for related issues. • BlackBerry Smartphones Indian (Hindi) language support on Blackberry Torch 9800

    Hello

I saw my colleagues read specifically the Indian language Hindi on their Blackberry smartphones. However, even does not work for me, in applications such as Facebook, instead of the local language it shows only special characters.

I tried searching and found that we can add languages through the Desktop Manager > Applications > Langauge Support. However there is no option under Applications as language.

    Please help on this.

    Kind regards

    Hello

Hindi is supported on BB Torch(Read/Write). You can even type the keyboard to the Hindi screen.

    To install Hindi fonts:

    Go BB Desktop Software--> Applications

In applications under Asian language press select and choose Hindi (click the sign '+' to download and install.)

  • BlackBerry smartphones is supported for the East Asian languages for the Blackberry Bold 9780 on O2?

Hello, I hope someone can help me with my problem. I'm new to the whole Blackberry I just bought my first BB camera a few days ago so please understand if I don't know what words are in the world of Blackberry. The questions will be in bold.

So, I recently bought a Blackberry Bold 9780 and I am very satisfied with the overall product. However I was wondering if there was support for the East Asian languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc) for my 9780 BB which is on O2 UK.

Right now, in my languages options, I can only entry for most European languages (English, Spanish, French, etc.) There are no options for languages of East Asia at all. When I try to display all messages or go on the browser which are languages of East Asia, I don't see one set of black boxes.

I know there are software updates to update your device to take charge of specific languages, so I checked the software downloads page that interests me.

O2 - UK users, they have two packages:

-BlackBerry Handheld Software v6.0.0.905 (all languages)

    Package Version: 6.0.0.905
    Composed of:

    • Applications: 6.0.0.294
    • Software platform: 6.5.0.54
    • File name: 9780AllLang_PBr6.0.0_rel905_PL6.5.0.54_A6.0.0.294_O2_UK.exe
    • File size: 180,72 MB

    -BlackBerry Handheld Software v6.0.0.0905 (Multilingual)

    Package Version: 6.0.0.905
    Composed of:

    • Applications: 6.0.0.294
    • Software platform: 6.5.0.54
    • File name: 9780jAllLang_PBr6.0.0_rel905_PL6.5.0.54_A6.0.0.294_O2_UK.exe
    • File size: 185,61 MB

Then How do I know which package I currently installed on my device because the application number and the number of software are identical.

On my device it details shows: v6.0.0.294, (905 Bundle, platform 6.5.0.54)

So I wonder if none of the above two packages have the option to enable East Asian language support.

I'm sure I have the latest update for my camera that I can't update more far depending on the desktop software and my phone. So If I move to another package, how do I go to do?

I mainly use a MAC, but I can also have access to a PC too. I don't know if it's important, but I think that there is a difference between the Desktop software on each computer that is used to update your software.

If possible, it is that I would be able to download another package that has the support of another service provider East Asia and update on my own? Or is it too risky because it may crash my machine?

And my last question, so it is likely that O2 can do in the near future if there is no option for the language support East Asia now,?

Sorry if I rambled on a bit too much or too many questions. I just want to know if its possible to enable language support is now, otherwise I will waste countless hours looking for a method. I looked to see if there were similar questions, asked the Board of Directors, but none was really specific to my needs.

A big thank you to everyone who sits reading through this. I appreciate the responses.

    Thank you.

Do not know if you understand how to do this, but I did these steps and it worked fine:

    1. https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=7D2A383E54274888B4B73B97E1AAA491&dl=... go here and download the version of v6.0.0.0905 (Multilingual) BlackBerry Handheld Software.

2 install the downloaded OS on your computer, you need the files of this new OS more later to add multi language support for your BlackBerry device.
    C:\Program Files\Common search in Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9780AllLang_v6.0.0.294_P6.5.0.54
The CJK.alx is the file that you will use later.

    3. use Desktop Manager to save your BlackBerry (better safe than sorry)

    4. before installation, go to your AppLoader folder, for example C:\Program Files Research In Motion\AppLoader and move the Vendor.xml to a backup directory, if you have kept a copy of the file. The loader.exe allows to load up the AppLoader, follow the instructions in the wizard.

He automatically gave me a list of applications and languages, if you scroll down see you East Asian languages check those you want that I checked Japanese and Thai language and font support. If you do not see these click on 'Add' at the top and navigate to the CJK.alx file.

So let the application loader it's thing, after that everything should work.

Hope this works for you also. I take no responsibility of bricking your phone.

BlackBerry should be an option to install more languages via the phone.

  • BlackBerry smartphones «Service not enabled for this handheld»

Okay, so I try to connect to AIM and MSN/WLM, but I get this message: «Service not enabled for this handheld» I'm honestly not very fluent in the language of the phone and I'm new to BlackBerry. So if anyone can help me it would be really appreciated. My service provider is T-Mobile, and I don't have a plan unlimited domestic Messaging. As far as I know well, who should have no impact on whether or not I can connect, so I don't know what to do.

You can get them to agree. That's THEIR problem. There is NOTHING you can do to make it work. Webmessenger is a third-party instant messaging client. You can download it directly to your phone by going to webmessenger.com on your phone. You can use AOL, yahoo, MSN, ICQ, google and jabber. It is not as "pretty" as the other instant messaging services, but it does the job.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Portuguese (Brazil) language input for BlackBerry Torch 9860 3 Optus Australia

Hello! Can someone help me please? I write a lot of texts and emails in Brazilian Portuguese and it would be very useful if I had it in my camera because the phone is always trying to change my words. I checked the input languages, I already installed on the phone and there is no Portuguese. I tried to check on the desktop software there is no Portuguese there. The software running in my phone is 7.1.0 Bundle 921 (5.1.0.230 platform v7.1.0.267). Thank you.

    Hi lulisbeiro,

You want to do is get a version of the OS that has the languages included.  Try to download the version of Telus Mobility, as it is the same version of the OS, but has all of the included languages.  You can download it here (simply select the 9860 Torch in the dropdown menu drop-down):

    https://swdownloads.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=02A32AD2669E6FE298E607FE7CC0E1A0

Once you have downloaded the OS, install it on your computer, and then reload the operating system using the following steps:

    1. Above all, back up your BlackBerry device.  Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager and select backup and restore.  In the next screen, select backup and perform a full backup of your data on the device.  Note the location of the backup file (usually in the Documents folder).  Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and let your connected device.
    2. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the following folder: C:\Program Files\Common search in Motion\AppLoader\ and delete the Vendor.xml file.  Then, open the Loader.exe file in the same folder.  On 64-bit computers, the file is located in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader.  According to the settings on your computer, you may need to show hidden folders (under file > Options for Windows XP or organize > folder and Search Options in Windows Vista).
    3. After the configuration of the aircraft has been recovered, you will be on the device Application selection page.  You can scroll through the list for all desired applications are selected.  You can also deselect all applications that you do not use to save space.  Click Next.
    4. On the next page, click on the Advanced button.  Check the two checkboxes (delete all application data and delete all currently installed applications) are checked.  Click Next.
    5. To proceed with the OS reinstall.  Note that this process can take 10 to 30 minutes (usually about 10 minutes).  Do not unplug the device.
    6. Once the process is complete, open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.  Select backup and restore and open the restore application.  Select the file to restore (Backup-(Year-Month-Day) .ipd) and click Open.  Follow the steps to restore your device.
    7. Re-activate your connection to device by clicking on manage connections and turn on your Mobile network.  Download all the missing applications and re - connect to any device BlueTooth and you have completed.

Who should do it for you!

I think I just need a little help to understand what is and is not possible with Google mail or Google mail Apps.  I have an e-mail account of google base ([email protected]) and I also have an email Google Apps account with my domain ([email protected]) through Google.  I can get the basic gmail account to work perfectly with my curve but when I try to configure my Google Apps with IMAP instructions on Google, I don't even get the icon on the phone.  The account appears on the Blackberry BIS site and everything looks right but no icon on the phone.  I read an article that said Google IMAP is not supported with Blackberry but I have a Google Gmail account works fine.  Anyone have a Google Apps account, working with their curve or know what it is and is not possible?  Thanks in advance for any help.

  • BlackBerry smartphones is BB 8520 support OS v5?

    Hello

Can I update BB 8520 of 4.6. to 5.0? Because my BB Desktop manager say that there is no update for my device...

    How is it?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello!

In keeping with the model of support for your provider, you must check their download site to see what version they have released and support:

If you want to go beyond what comes from your operator, you can DL version you want other carriers and then use this process (subject to a change - keep reading) to perform the update:

Insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion of a file named "Vendor.xml" (it should be in the same directories as indicated in step 2), then go to step 2.

If you choose to go beyond your version of supported media, be aware that if your manufacturer's warranty will continue to apply (assuming that you are still in this period), maintenance of this guarantee is your carrier... and they can refuse service and support you (including security) while you are on an OS that they not sanctioned. But simply falling back to their version will restore the model of support. Most of the people who go above and beyond and need support so never tell their carrier - they just recede their version of the OS device before asking their carrier for assistance.

    Best!

Yes, the kind of a ball strange question however, we features a wide range of Blackberry (until recently that even included the series 7250/7290) of 8703 through the 8520 and Bold 9700.

It depends on the carrier.  Most is shipping with a card these days, but they aren't always.
