  Just had heavy PRIV top of page a few days ago and I'm trying to not to regret the purchase. I need help.

  For the life of me I can't find where to add a personalized ringtone or sound notification to my list of contacts other than the few that are already on the PRIVATE list. NO, don't tell me choose only those cables the list provided.

  On other Blackberry phones that I can download a sound or a song. I can't find the option for this on the PRIVATE if it is not that I'm back there. OVerpirced piece of fancy S * & %. I am beyond frustrated.

  It is very easy to set custom ringtones for each contact you want... also add any sound as a ringtone.

  Install a file manager (I use ARE), copy any wav, ogg, mp3 audio file etc to/0/ringtones
  These will be immediately available.

  in your contacts list to change any contact (pencil top right corner), then hit up 3 points to the right and "set the tone".

  I am a newbie (had my bb for Christmas) and my experience so far has not been very pleasant. I've assigned personal ringtones.  Initially, they worked very often for some people, and now they don't work for everyone.  I had to have the phone wiped out this past Wednesday and I have everything set up again through the profiles, exceptions etc and now NONE of them work.  I don't even know who's calling me, because the names don't pop either... just the number with the default ringtone.  I tried EVERYTHING I read and nothing works.  I just a phone of shit or what?

  any help, suggestions, etc. is GREATLY appreciated, I'm at my wits end.

  OK, I went through all new and found the uscellular implemented video and re did everything new.  My father called me and it worked.  I called myself the phone of my mom and my home phone and they worked.  so unless he starts to act up again, I'm going to consider this problem solved... I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

  Questions: Can I set different ringtones for people in my address book? (e.g., woman, girls, mother, etc.)

  Also set different ringtones to people in my address book from the "unknowns" that are not in my address book?

  To set the tone for a person in your address book, go to the address book, highlight the contact, press menu, and select "Add phone custom tune" (this wording may vary slightly depending on the model and OS of your BlackBerry)

  To set a general tone go in the icon of your profile, scroll down to advanced, select your active profile and choose the alert that you want to change.  You cannot set a distinctive ring for address book entries and no address book entries

  If you want to assign a specific ringtone to Blackberry Messenger, yes you can, go to profiles, scrool up to advanced, click normal or one who is active and you have applications, go to Blackberry messenger and change the ringtone.

  Just downloaded the new OS 6 and can't change the ringtone for my instant BB Messenger.  I think that maybe I changed however, when I select the option only vibrate, I always get a sound after that my phone vibrates.

  After you download the update for my BB Curve 9300, I am saddened to see that most of the ringtone and audio alert options are no longer available as they were when I started using my phone.
  NOT IMPRESSED.

• BlackBerry Smartphones said Nextel ringtone is disabled on 8350i when Bluetooth is turned on... Is there a fix for it?

  Does anyone know if there is a fix or software update for this problem? The ringing of the phone is turned off whenever my bluetooth headset is activated. The phone will not ring, I only get the beep in the bluetooth. I drive a truck for a living, and miss me a lot of calls, because I can just hear the bluetooth beep on the sound of the truck.

  Technicians from Nextel to my local maintenance and repair center told me that it is a permanent framework with all phones Blackberry Curve and it cannot be changed.   Yesterday's leave suddenly my BB has stopped playing some ringtones and is also not play video files. When I try to play any ringtone manually, an error which says error playing with a message "an error occurred while trying to play the media.

  I also noticed while taking photos, I'm not able to zoom through my trackpad and am unable to take a zoom or close-up picture

  First thing to try when your Blackberry is not working properly.
  No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.
  Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.

  I have tried to change ringtones by going to School Board Profiles and press advanced and try to press on change. It doesn't let me change anything. What should I do? I feel like I've done everything, but something is missing. ?

  Well just buy the Blackberry "BOLD" to Ebay! It's unlocked because I'll leave the USA for about 4 years studying and my contract with AT & T has just finished two days ago and no point of renewal.
  This is my first blackberry and I can't use 100% as you can be in a position to do so, I have just a few doubts and I will accept it gladly someone of you to help me.
  First of all, I don't have a Sim Card yet, because of reasons I unmask above.
  Issues related to the:
  (1) how to set my normal Hotmail + Gmail email on the phone? The only option is available for me is BB Enterprise Server. Is it possible to have my email using Wifi? OR I have to have a data plan?
  (2) with the issue, I have download some applications of chat for my "BOLD" as for example, msn and aim. But when I try to log in this message appears: no available data Service? How can I look forward to using the wi - fi connection (if possible)?

  Basically, these are my questions, I was not a tech guy but I really like the "BOLD" and decide to buy and im very happy with it, just have these issues and I would really appreciate if someone will give me an answer. Please don't berate me.
