blue border with netflix - Windows Media Center only

Live TV works fine, but when I play videos in WMC Netflix there is a blue border around the image.  The blue is in fact seems to be WMC menu screen, and the image is not expanding to fill the screen.

Already checked and corresponding to the resolution (1080 p 60 hz) between the windows installation and installed WMC.

We have been streaming Netflix via Media Center for several months now and last week began to get the message saying a problem during data extraction. Check the internet connection. Internet connection is fine - we can stream from Netflix site without problem. Help! (With the help of Vista)

    Hello

    1. What is the accurate and complete error message?
2 did you recent hardware or software changes to your computer before this problem?

We will try these steps and check:

Step 2: Allow windows media Center to connect through the firewall

    2. in the left pane, click on allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall

    3. click on change settings.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    4. Select the check box for windows media center, select the network locations that you want to allow communication, and then click OK.

    If the problem persists,

Step 3: Rebuild the Media Center data store. To do this, follow these steps:

1 exit any running instance of Windows Media Center.

2 delete the mediaCenterDataStore.db file. By default, this file is located in the following location:

    %SystemDrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\mediaCenterDataStore.DB

To remove the file, follow these steps:

    (a) click Start and then click Run.

    (b) in the Open box, type run and then click OK

    (c) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    (d) in the Open box, type %systemdrive%\programdata\microsoft\ehome and then click OK.

    (e) in the details pane, right-click right mediacenterdatastore.db and then click on remove.

    (f) click Yes to confirm that you want to move the Mediacenterdatastore.db file to the trash.

  • Netflix profiles windows media center

I just got the new profiles of Netflix on my account. Unfortunately, they don't work well with the Windows Media Center Netflix plugin. First of all the loads plugin by default profile when you first open the app. More important, when a video is selected to watch, I'm asked to select the profile and then gave an error saying that "something is not quite right. Repeat this last step. "At that point if I click on" Let's try again ", I get an error in unknown script, then a followed script jQuery error black screen Uni. If I select Cancel and then I am presented with the prompt selection of profile again. I literally can't watch Netflix now through the plugin. Any help would be appreciated!

I have been informed that Netflix has eliminated a patch to work around the problem. The profiles will NOT work inside the WMC, but you should receive is more an error and the original profile should work as before.

  • Profiles of Netflix in windows media center, causing problems

It seems the new Netflix profiles posed problems in the version of Windows Media Center of Netflix.

Launch and selecting a movie/show in the app Netflix Windows Media Center works great.

However when you play the movie, you are prompted to select a profile, after you select a profile you are presented with a screen saying:

"Something is not right of the specifications.  Repeat this last step' with two buttons "Lets try again" and "Cancel".

By selecting "Lets try again" brings up two error dialog boxes

The first is a "permission denied".

Followed by an error of "jQuery".

Also I we a remote control for my video capture card to navigate Windows Media Center and the profile selection screen can be activated with the mouse.

Hope that this selection screen when developed will be something that I can use the remote control for.

I have been informed that Netflix has eliminated a patch to work around the problem. The profiles will NOT work inside the WMC, but you should receive is more an error and the original profile should work as before.

    Hello hillsiderWH,

Seems that your windows installation is missing most important files, I suggest you boot to the top with your windows media center installation CD and run repair on the windows installation. This will replace any missing files and I hope that your media center up and running. If this isn't the case, it could be a problem in the registry.

  • Windows Media Center Internet TV

When I try to access internet TV via Media Center, I have a box saying that it is not available in the Canada. I live in the State of New York. How can I fix it?

    Hello runner55,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forums.

Check if task | Settings | General | Automatic download options has both the 'recycled CD album art... of the internet' and 'download automatically... '. "options checked? If both are checked, then click the 'Download now' and if you are prompted, walk through the internet connection wizard, then click again on the button 'Download now'.
If you get the notification that the download was successful, then return to the start menu and you should see internet TV and Netflix.

If you're still having problems, then I suggest that you post at www.thegreenbutton.com \forums. It is a Microsoft Website and only deal with themes Windows Media Center.
They would be better placed to help with your problem.

  • Window Media Center, error code:-2146959355, could not record show. Live TV does not work. Help?

    Hello

I'm having a problem with my Windows Media Center. It worked perfectly without any problem since I built the computer more than 6 months ago. I have not changed anything, the only thing I've done recently is set up a homegroup on my local network using this computer. Except that nothing has changed.
A show is set to record every time, I get the error code. Also, I can't watch live TV. Help, please!
    Thank you.

    Check the event viewer.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-Vista/open-Event-Viewer

    Run the Setup again.

Open WMC > tasks > settings > General > installation Windows Media Center > rerun the installation

    Does that help?

If the above does not help then try to reset WMC: -.

Open Control Panel > uninstall a program > turn Windows features on or off > scroll multimedia features > uncheck the box against Windows Media Center > follow the instructions on the screen > Reboot > open again to turn Windows features on or off in the control panel > scroll multimedia features > check the box against Windows Media Center.

    Now reconfigure WMC again.

  • In Windows Media Center, one of my recorded tv programs blocking WMC, when you place the cursor on the title.

WMC doesn't crash on any other recorded program tv and all the other game of TV very well.

Is this perhaps a corupt file?  Where can I find this fmanually file so I can remove it?

  • Problem installing Windows XP Pro/Windows Media Center Edition

A few years ago, I built a system which consists of MS Windows Media Center Edition.  Recently, the hard drive failed.  I replaced the drive with a 1 TB Seagate Barracuda SATA drive.  Strangely, I can't reinstall MS Windows Media Center.  To clarify... with MS Windows Media Center cd in the drive, the installation went well.  The hard drive has been formatted and that the CD-ROM files have been hard disk messages were present.  The next step was a reboot by MS Windows cd.  This is where the installation fails. After the reboot, the Windows XP splash screen came as if the program Windows opened on your desktop.  At halfway through the splash screen, the system restarts.  Reboot forever more.  I don't know what is happening. Anyone?

  • Windows Media Center Configuration error

Hello. I found people with this problem all over the internet but I have yet to get a final solution.

My PC is running Vista Home Premium with Media Center the greats. It is connected to my wireless network.

My Xbox is connected to the network directly, as he's sitting right next to her.

My PC detects the Xbox in 'Network' and it appears as an Extender when I run the Media Center application. My Xbox gives me the 8 digit code and I put it. I said I want to share media, and it then goes to the configuration bit extender. Then it says Configuration error.

I have enabled Media Player via my firewall, open all the necessary local ports and don't have any other firewalls up. I don't know what is happening.

I'd like to get this up and running, so any help is welcome.

EDIT: Just realized this placed entirely in the wrong place. Please move it, mod?

  • Windows media center xbox problem

I'm running on windows vista 64 bit, but I have a problem when connect my xbox 360 Media Center with my pc, they detect very well, but when they come to connect it disconnects the network of xbox and my pc... Help

    Hi Jonathan Thewlis

Do you get any error messages when you try to connect?

I suggest you temporarily disable the firewall, and check if the reconfiguration of the configuration solves the problem. If you are able to communicate properly with disabled firewall, then you must configure the firewall properly connect.

Don't forget to enable the firewall after troubleshooting gets completed that your computer will be at risk.
