  I wonder if this extension is still compatible with current versions of Firefox?
  Just a hunch, but since Firefox for iOS beta was released last summer, "we" seem to have had a "slight increase" the number of threads similar to this one - support describing the proliferation of bookmarks files that are not part of Firefox for desktop / laptop, but rather added by a "3rd party" or a mobile device.
  I can't test it, as I don't have mobile device not (and if I did it would be Android or based filed). I get suspicious when an add-on that "mess" with a feature that is as sophisticated as the database of places and/or participates with Sync is that long without an update.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

  

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  If you use Sync then better is to disconnect Sync (temporarily) while performing maintenance and repairs for the places.sqlite database efforts.

  Hi, right click at the top of the page (not on a tab) and the tick/check Bookmarks Toolbar. Hope that helps.

  I recall, none of the extension of Favicon Picker has all the features to edit records. But again this is for 4 or 5 years of three FP extensions worked in Firefox. I gave up when the first version is dead, never wasted my time with ' Picker2 and ' Picker3.

  You do not really need to 'know' CSS to be able to work with the 'user' code, all you need is someone else's code posted in a Mozilla support forum. Or a UserStyle to add to the elegant.

• How to configure the bookmarks bar to view more than 4 bookmarks?

  In Firefox to. 31.0, I can add multiple bookmarks to the bookmarks bar, but if I added more than four bookmarks on the toolbar and then close Firefox, the next time I open it it there are only four bookmarks in the toolbar. I've been a techie years so I tried everything I can think of including adding bookmarks different ways... by slip and fall and/or 'Bookmark this Page', click on add to the toolbar but still, I allowed four bookmarks in the toolbar after a reboot.

• Google bookmark bar was still available this afternoon on firefox, and now it's over

  Earlier today (August 21, 2014) my google bookmarks were always on the bookmarks bar. Now they are gone. I tried to import again, but now they are put in a folder called "google chrome" in the bookmarks bar. I want back the way they were. I even tried to reinstall Firefox, but nothing has changed. GRRRRRRRR

  You can open the bookmarks bar or bookmarks (Library Manager; Show all bookmarks) and copy and paste them in the bookmarks toolbar folder.

  You do not have the extension of theme font & size changer or elegant, so it is possible that you have accomplished this with the code in the userChrome.css file in the chrome folder in the Firefox profile folder.
