BSOD when installing Flash Player 11.2.202.233

Home Premium Windows Vista 64

Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421 (32 bit)

11 Firefox

Flash Player 11.2.202.233

Until the last update, I was able to run Flash files without any problem in IE and FF.  The last update has forced me to have Flash player installed for IE - or - FF, but not both.  If I install clean on IE, when I try to install in FF, it gives me a BSOD.  The reverse also occurs.  Clean install in FF, try to install for IE, get a BSOD.

Any idea on how to get the Flash player installed for the two again?

Thanks for your comments.  Since the issue you describe was different from that of the thread in which you posted, I have it branched out in a new topic, to better take in charge the original poster and you.

The problem you are having (I know that the Adobe Download Manager team introduced a new work with the Setup program for this version), it is not one that I've seen before.

You can probably get around it by using installers offline, at the bottom of this guide:

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/installation-problems-Flash-Player-Windows.html

I'll get someone to take a look at Win8 and see if we can reproduce the problem you are experiencing.

Either way, Win8.1 is a free upgrade and a big improvement on Win8.1.  It probably won't help you here, but is it really worth your time to do this upgrade.  It's much better.

  • Script error when you try to install Flash Player 18.

, I get a script error when you try to install Flash Player 18. The error box says "line of Script error 202 tank 13 Unable to set property"innerHTML"undefined or null references code 0 URL C://.../Downloads/flashplayer18ax_ra_install.exe/160" and "undefined" is on the screen of the installer after I closed the error box.  I'm on a Dell Inspiron, IE 11.0.9600.17843, Windows 7 Home Premium Svc Pack 1.

I get this same error box any installer that I use for Flash Player 18.  The error box appears immediately after I launch the installer. I reinstalled flash player 17 successfully two days without problem, but of course Flash Player 17 does not now work on web sites.  I ran the Adobe flash player Uninstaller a couple of times between tries - same result, same script error box.  I've lost count of how many times I tried to install it and my fingers are raw...

Roughly the same time the error box appears or a second or later, my Norton Insight pops up a box that says that Norton has not enough information about this program (the installation program, I guess), to recommend this program, but I don't think that it prevents the installation program to run. Or maybe it is?

This problem seems to come from the installer of Flash Player, but I don't see anything from Adobe on this matter.  I tried running as administrator, I disabled the parts of Norton to see if it is this error source - I've searched for hours on the internet and I can't find answers.  I've never had a Flash Player update problem so far.  Anyone can understand this or point me in the right direction?   Thank you.

    Hi all

Installer online team was interested in to this yet and the DPI setting as the culprit.  If the DPI setting is not set to 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% returns the script error.  If you are DPI setting is set to something else, assign him one of them please and Setup online should work.  The team is working on a fix for this.

    To check/change the DPI setting:

    1. Start the control panel and go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display
    2. In the left menu, select set size custom text (PPP)
    3. In the Windows Setup custom DPI select 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% in the menu drop-down
    4. Click OK
    5. Select apply
    6. Open a session/disable
    7. Online installer should now run without displaying the script error.

  • When I try to install flash player on my mac, I get to the Panel who asked for my name and my password, and it will not take my password.  tried to change to a new password and the same result

When I try to install flash player on my Mac, I get to the Panel who asked for my name and my password, but it won't take my password.  Tried to change the password, but same result.  Suggestions?

This password is presented by your operating system and is designed to prevent you from accidentally installing the software.

If it comes to your personal computer and you don't need a password to connect to the computer when it first starts, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to go to this prompt.  If it comes to your personal computer and your normal password does not work, make sure that CAPS LOCK SHIFT is off, and then type the password carefully.

If this is your work machine and he asks an administrator password, well, you will need to have a conversation with your computer friendly.

  • Mac to install flash player

I tried several times to uninstall existing Flash Player and install Flash Player 11 (11.2.202.235) on 64-bit Mac OS x 10.6.8 running Safari (64-bit), without success.

The dialog box indicates that the installation was successful, and if you check Apple / system preferences / Flash Player / advanced / updates, it states that "the plug-in version 11.2.202.235 is installed.',

but If I try to run anything that requires Flash, it doesn't work, and when I go to

under Flash Player help / find Version / Flash Player

    1. Check if Flash Player is installed on your computer

I see a white gray square, indicating that Flash Player is not installed.

I followed all the instructions on Flash Player Help / installation problems / Mac OS and flash uninstalled and reinstalled several times, with firewalls and antivirus system disabled and all active the force to quit smoking, and I get exactly the same results... Flash seems to be installed, but does not... any suggestions?

Could you please check the following?

Go into settings of Safari > Preferences.

    Go to the Security tab.

Is selected, the following options: activate the Plug-ins and enable JavaScript?

    Thank you

  • MMS.cfg and Flash Player 11.2.202.228

If someone knows why Flash Player 11.2.202.228 do not grey on 'Change update settings' and 'Check now' button in the Flash Player Settings Manager 'AutoUpdateDisable = 1'?  Radio three buttons are dimmed and the "never check for updates is selected.

    We use the SP1 of Win7 x 64 with IE8 x 32 (x 64 is there also).

    I'm moving from 11.1.102.63 to 11.2.202.228.

I use the msi installer. (I am an admin first installation.  "I have a transformation that puts the file mms.cfg in place.)

With installed 11.1, the buttons are grayed out.  When I update to 11.2.202.228, they are not.

All I have in the mms.cfg file is 'AutoUpdateDisable = 1'

When I take it on the radio three buttions are grayed out, but the setting is "notify me when updates are available. So it seems that it is reading.

And, below the correct settings to turn off all updates and background updates?

    AutoUpdateDisable = 1

    SilentAutoUpdateEnable = 0

y = mx + b - this post may be of interest to you, see to half way down where I mention the SilentAutoUpdateServerDomain property.

  • I need to install Flash Player

I'm trying to download Temple Run 2 on my new Windows Tablet.  When I click on install it tells me that I need to install Flash Player.  When I try to install Adobe Flash Player it tells me that I can't install it on my computer. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

    Hey,.

It would help if you could answer these questions.

-What is the exact error message that you receive?
-You're trying to download Temple Run, is - this Windows store or through any website in Internet Explorer(If it's through a website, then provide us the website address)?
-Are you able to watch online videos using flash player, for example: Youtube?

Adobe flash player is embeded in Windows RT. We'll just see if it is present on your computer. Check out http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html

If it is present and that you are able to play the video, then it must be the game that should be checked. In this case, contact the developer of the game would be the best option.
