By specifying the path network topology for flat files

Hello

It is possible to specify the path network for files in the topology.
for example:-as we specify say d:\source, can here we specify as \\netwokmachine1\source?

Thank you
Mahesh

YES. We can. It worked for me

  • Specify the path to file report with Expression

    TS201x help under "Specifying report file paths by Expression" talking with a number of macros various, but starts at the page that shows how to use FileGlobals also. When you specify the expression (... > specify the path file of report by Expression > Expression browser), I would like to combine macros with FileGlobals, but none of the FileGlobals are listed is available. The expression builder has access to the StationGlobals however, but not in the FileGlobals.

    Is there a workaround solution, or at least an explanation of this behavior?

    See you soon

    I think you found a bug in the documentation.  In the process of old models, you can use the FileGlobals of the process model as that sentence States.  Now that they moved to Plugins I don't think that this is no longer true.  You may need to go with a StationGlobal on it.

    Or you can cancel the ReportOptions recall and change the Parameters.ReportOptions.ReportFileSequentialModelExpression variable to include the information in your customer file.  So, basically, to define a placeholder in your expression in the dialog box options report.  Then in the callback to use the SearAndReplace method to replace the placeholder with the specific data.  It worked for me when I tested it.  The nice thing about this way, is that you don't have to manage the StationGlobals.

    Hope this helps,

    Hi KAD Rebar,.

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. When was the last time it was working fine?
    3. Are you having similar problem with all the files you are trying to move or remove it from the computer?
    4. You have security software installed on the computer?

    Method 1

    See the link below and run the Fixit tool available, check if it helps.

    Diagnose and repair Windows files and folders problems automatically

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_file_and_folder_diag/

    Method 2

    If the previous step fails, then I suggest that you start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

    A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    If the problem does not persist in safe mode, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

    I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

    To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    Reset the computer to start as usual

    When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

  • How to read a file .xls to a situation identical to the sequence of the file without specifying the path?

    Hello

    I am trying to open a file .xls existing from the same location as the test sequence file. Can you TestStand search in the location of the sequence input file test file and then select the if present? Also, can we store the output file in the same place without specifying the path to the code?

    Example:

    Input.xls-> input file to the test sequence that must be read.

    Output.xls-> output file created by the test sequence.

    Test.SEQ-> the test sequence that reads Input.xls and creates Output.xls.

    If Test.seq and Input.xls are present instead of D:\Test\, the Test.seq code can be modified to pick up the Input.xls automatically without specifying the path? In addition, can Output.xls be created to D:\Test\ without specifying the path?

    Thank you

    Corinne

    Hi Isabelle,.

    Yes, this can be done. You can get the path to the current sequence file using RunState.SequenceFile.Path. Then find and remove the last '-' using the string functions to get just the path. You can then use this path to manage your files Input.xls and Output.xls.

  • Does not not the path network in a reservation

    Hello

    I'm trying to set up the new booking. In a new tab of book storage, all storage LUNS are appearing, but in the network tab, it is to show that the group port DvS on which I configured my device and IaaS Server vRA. It doesn't show any other group port. I configured 4 groups of ports in my DvS with names, vLAN100, vLAN101, vLAN102 and vLAN103. I use for my device and IaaS vLAN100 and it is the only group of ports in the network path are not the other 3. Please advise and guide how to solve this problem.

    Thanks in advance.

    Solved the problem. Port DvS groups were not properly mapped to the hosts in the cluster. A mapped and ran the data collection, all him vLAN appeared successfully in the reservation network tab.

  • Is there a way to specify the static IP address for deployment EGGS in the ovftool command?

    Hello

    I'm trying to deploy EGGS using ovftool. I see the option - network and - net available for the selection of the network by name, although I wasn't able to find a way to assign a static IP address in the ovftool command itself. Something like - ip0 = 10.10.10.10. Is there a way we can do that? User interface when we deploy an OVA, we have available to provide IP address, gateway, DNS and network mask.

    Thank you

    Hello, vPupil-

    If the ovf/eggs is created to have definable properties, as an IP of the machine, you can use the "-prop ' parameter to ovftool.exe.

    By literature ( http://www.vmware.com/support/developer/ovf/ovf20/ovftool_201_userguide.pdf), is the syntax to set a property:

    --prop:

    It is near the bottom of page 24, as well as an example.

    To see if the ovf/eggs that you are using has configurable options, you can use ovftool.exe in mode "probe" (page 25).  Just issue the command with only one source, no target, as such:

    > ovftool.exe myAppliance.ovf

    This should generate the results of the probe, which should list all configurable properties, including their 'key '.  This key is what you use with the "-prop" parameter.  In the example of probe on pages 25-26, the FVO has two properties, 'db - ip' and 'ws - ip ".  Then you should be able to specify values for these properties by adding the following to your ovftool order:

    ... --prop:db-ip=10.10.10.10 --prop:ws-ip=10.10.10.11 ...

    The use of the files managed by Oracle
    Internally, Oracle uses standard file system interfaces to create and delete files if necessary for the following data structures:

    * Tablespaces
    * Online redo logs
    * Control of files

    Through initialization parameters, you specify the directory of file system to use for a particular file type.
    EXAMPLE:
    The following parameters are included in the initialization parameter file:

    DB_CREATE_FILE_DEST = ' / u01/oradata/sample.
    DB_CREATE_ONLINE_LOG_DEST_1 = "/ u02/oradata/sample.
    DB_CREATE_ONLINE_LOG_DEST_2 = ' / u03/oradata/sample.

    The following statement is issued at the SQL prompt:

    SQL > CREATE a DATABASE sample.
    SQL > CREATE TABLESPACE tbs_2 DATAFILE SIZE 400 M;
    SQL > CREATE UNDO TABLESPACE undotbs_1;

  • QoS on each device in the path network?

    Hello

    Apologies, as I'm new to QoS, but it's something I can't find a clear answer too,

    I understand the notion of quality of service on the routers, it's usually the field I see QoS easally passing in the form of WAN links tend to be 10 MB/20 MB etc., so we need to prioritize the traffic as these links can congested bandwidth.

    I understand the use of the class / political cards to identify traffic and bandwidth priority, and then apply the service policy to the output interface on the interface that connects to the WAN link.

    We need quality of service on the local network that connects to the Wan? Even switches layer 2? ... is by port, how to identify traffic at the switch level and give priority to it?

    Help, please!

    Thank you

    Poster

    I'm not a supporter of QoS from end to end, just because you can, either that's what suggests '' the book. ''  There is a cost for their maintenance and QoS implementations, and if done correctly, QoS can degrade service.

    Where you should have QoS is on any interface where forms of congestion it is unfavourable to of the application serve the needs and which may be updated by QoS.  (Sometimes the 'right' solution is more bandwidth, although often more bandwidth is achieved when the quality of service could be a more optimal).

    Often, there are undesirable congestion on WAN interfaces, because as you note, they provide less bandwidth LAN interfaces.  (Also WAN bandwidth is also often more expensive to provide than the LAN bandwidth).

    Placing the QoS on the interfaces that don't really need, it's a bit like buying insurance.  It adds to your "cost", but offers "protection" for the unexpected.  Once again, as if you must buy insurance, for which coverage and cost, QoS implementations should also take into account coverage and expected benefit vs cost.

    So...

    We need quality of service on the local network that connects to the Wan?

    Maybe, maybe not, but also again, often if you do not need effective QoS, LAN to WAN is a common place.

    Even switches layer 2?

    Another maybe, maybe not.

    ... is by port, how to identify traffic at the switch level and give priority to it?

    In fact how depends on the device.

    Often, you have a policy of penetration which examines the traffic, and based on what it "sees" could allow the self marked traffic to go markedly or brand/note traffic according to the needs.

    Device can have the exit policy that determines how the traffic is processed, including priorities, when there is congestion.

    The thing to understand about QoS is to respond to the needs of your traffic, made service by managing the queuing traffic and lozenges.

    QoS often becomes a point of discussion when dealing with VoIP.  However, not all needs of VoIP QoS in all cases and even cases such as data transfers in bulk, could be improved in QoS.

    Unfortunately, QoS corresponds with the old cliché, "can't see the forest for the trees".  Most hardware QoS explains how to treat the 'trees', but does not explain how the forest should be managed.

  • [Script / Code sample requests] The Total Network Get for a given set of ESXi hosts or natachasery flow

    Hi all

    I asked this question to Luc rooms (@LucD22) via twitter earlier and it offers to post here... good suggestion.

    Scenario:

    We have a set of ESX host running on hardware of blade, currently using double transmission 10 g out to the Top of Rack Juniper EX4500 switches. I offer you with our next design to be used in the chassis MXL Force10 switches and uplink of a distributed Thorn (or Lagg for 10g or 40g). There was some resistance from the network team saying we owe to full speed for all blades, all the time... I have a strong suspicion of our overall throughput for a given frame is much less than 320gbit... but I want to prove that with solid data.

    We had a follow-up, but they all use averages of 5 minutes (at best), so the transient peaks tend to miss (and I want to capture them if possible).

    What I would do:

    Generate a set of data that I can use to create a stacked line chart (each host or Teddy bear would be a line with each other at each point of data in total also). Probably should separate incoming and outgoing...

    I would like to have the data as granular as possible, in order to capture the 20 seconds on average, calculate averages over a period of Maximum would be ideal for each host. Remember to say a data point every 30 minutes, over a period of X (probably the length of time, the script is running allowed to run to?), maybe a failsafe (x, configurable?)

    However, overall, it probably should summarize each collection point, then calc the max of people for each datapoint (way not to capture two vertices that do not occur at the same time, the inclination data.)

    It may be useful to divide into a new CSV file daily / some-other-small-time, so long

    Other ways to do this:

    Get stats levels to get the values of "maximum" in vCenter to the largest. Ideally not... He puts a reasonable amount of strain on the vCenter DB, more it will produce asymmetrical data by combining the maximum values.

    Thoughts?

  • How to change the local IP on the virtual NETWORK adapter for Web server address

    Hi all

    I have a physical Windows system, on which I run VMware Workstation 9. Now on VMware I run Ubuntu 12.10 a LAMP for a Web server.
    Problem:
    Now, my local IP address for my NETWORK card virtual (using the Ubuntu one) at the address 192.168.159.7 and my router only emits the 10.0.0.x range IP addresses. So if I want to port forward to the virtual NETWORK adapter that has a 192.168 address, I can't, so my LAMP Web server are not accessible to the outside because the router does not send packets on port 80 to the virtual card... How to fix this?
    The only way I guess that is to be assigned an ip address of 10.0.0.x to the virtual NETWORK adapter?
    But how do I do this?
    I tried to do it on the host from the Windows machine with "get my IP address automatically", but she emits an 192.168 address every time...
    Thank you

    Welcome to the community,

    I guess that the virtual computer is currently configured to "NAT" or "Host-Only' networking! That would explain the 192.168.x.x IP address.

    There are 2 options to be able to access the web server on the virtual computer.

    1. with "NAT" network configured

    In this case forward port 80 to the IP address of the host and configure the port forwarding on the virtual computer in the "Virtual Network Editor. This way you can leave the IP address on the private network of 192 (if it is currently set to NAT)

    2. use "Bridged" network layout

    Reconfigure the virtual NETWORK adapter to the machine virtual networking "Bridged" within the parameters of the virtual machine, assign an IP address from your router network (10.x.x.x) and do the port forwarding on the router directly to the IP address of the virtual machine.

  • SDC RTU Modbus - cannot specify the type of query for each register address

    Hi, it's Jose.

    I have try the DSC module to connect with a temperature module, but this, does not meet the MODBUS registers addresses, for example to read the temperature, I should ask a 0 x 03 at address 1001.

    But for DSC for a request of 0x03, it expects to addresses like 4000, so since 1000 addresses belongs to coils, SDC makes a request of 0x01

    My thermometer has even coils register.

    Is there a way to force the DSC to make specific requests?

    Thank you and best regards

    What happens if you enter the numbers as 400001 401001 or simply?

    Also try to only 1.

    The current Protocol does not transmit the prefix number which he calls a coil (1) or (4) record keeping, (3) registry entry.  (I mixed up to the top of the last two is possible).

    So the device describing the registry with the wrong group of addresses, may not matter.  You just lie to LabVIEW to tell him where he thinks is it supposed to be.

  • Look for the path just by showing all files

  • HP Deskjet 3830: Printer connected by wireless worked well until someone joined the home network - looking for password now!

    I created my HP Deskjet 3830 yesterday and it worked on wireless connection. At no time was I asked a network security key.

    A colleague joined today to the home network (yesterday I was myself), and requested a key security network - to my surprise I was so.

    I put my wireless network password, and he says that it is evil. I used HP Print and Scan doctor to confirm the password (I guess that's the same thing as a "security key" - it was OK, but I keep being told it's wrong.)

    It is porrible that it is because my setup yesterday wasn't network but without straight wire? Or want to say I'm wrong?

    Other: since yesterday I have not changed anything or even restarted.

    Reset the printer to the default network. Now plug it back to your routers SSID with password. Try now. If Direct wireless is enabled in the printer, turn it off.
