  • Acrobat provided calculations form work randomly - please help

    I'm going round and round with an interactive form. I use the calculator provided in Acrobat "value is the sum of (of your choice) of the following fields:" how I select a field list to add. I have about 50 items to add to the same naming convention. I can sometimes operate by selecting certain fields, but if I select several of them, is no longer works. It seems that when I add more than 15 points, it ceases to work. Is there a limit?

    I don't know if there is something wrong with my fields or if there is something wrong with Acrobat. I searched around and that you can't find an answer. And I apparently are not eligible for support because I only have Acrobat Pro 10.

    I would be very grateful if someone can help. I even tried to re-boot my computer. I don't know what else to do.

    I'm on Mac OSX 10.9.4, using Acrobat Pro 10.1.10, change a form I created with InDesign CS6.

    Well, as an update to this post, I got successfully to operate. But, like I did that's strange. I've recreated the fields of the form in InDesign, using the same exact names. All I can think is that somehow, these fields were damaged. Don't ask me how.

    The other thing that is worrisome is that crashes Acrobat (10) on every 3rd time I open it. Usually, it crashes when I select the button 'Edit '. It seems buggy to me. Not to mention hard to use when it crashes all the time.

    In any case, in case somebody stumbles on this post looking for a solution to the same problem, try to recreate your fields, I guess.

  • Calculation form: Division - Quotient and remainder

    This calculation of shape is possible?

    Between dividend in the to field user > user between divider in domain B > C field calculates the quotient > field D calculates the rest

    example 1: 100 ÷ B25 = C4 D0

    example 2: A90 ÷ B25 = C3 D15

    Of course, the only thing is to check that the divider is not empty or null, as the division by zero is not allowed.

    Basically, the C field calculation script can be something like this:

    var a = number (this.getField("Field_A").value).

    var b = number (this.getField("Field_B").value);

    If (b == 0) event.value = "";

    else event.value = Math.floor (a/b);

    Field D using the same code but replace the last line with:

    else event.value = (a and b %);

  • Calculation form does not work in some readers/computers

    Hello!

    This is a weird problem: I have this form where to place three numeric fields, two of them for the user to fill out, one-third to calculate the sum of the previous ones.

    I use this FormCalc expression:

    this.rawValue = bobina1.rawValue + bobina2.rawValue

    Well, it works... but only on some machines.

    During the audit, the team found it could be solved by activating JavaScript... but still it doesn´t work on readers Acrobat version 9.3 or below.

    When you try this with the version of readers 9.4 it worked, but still had to do the activation of JavaScript.

    Issues related to the:

    Is there a way to activate JavaScript automatically once a PDF is open?  How?

    OR

    is there a way to activate JavaScript in Reader version 9.4 and especially automatically during the installation?

    Thank you very much!

    Marcos

    Hello

    to run scripts in forms, you will still need to activate JavaScript, no matter if the form uses JavaScript or FormCalc.

    This setting cannot be done via scripts, only by users or admin.

    If Acrobat/Reader detects scriptings in a form, it should generally notify users (yellow bar) and ask him to aktivate.

  • The collection of elements of a list in a calculated form field

    I am unable to "Pick" individual fields from the field list in the text field properties > compute tab > "value is (sum) of the following fields: 'Pick'."   The buttons select all and deselect all work, but am unable to uncheck or check the individual fields - click, double click and click right does nothing...  Help, please. Thank you.  I use Adobe Acrobat Pro XI on Windows 8.1

    Highlight the field and press the SPACEBAR. It is another way to check a checkbox.

  • Many forms, even calculations-in any way to expedite the creation of each shape

    I create many forms in adobe pro 9 with the same calculations.  Each form when to convert word to PDF from adobe has only a few calculations.  I have attatched an example, but it's basically height x weight gives you BSA.  BSA x dose/m2 = dose patients.  All forms with have the same calculation, just different drugs.  Someone at - it a way to speed up the creation of forms of ~ 100. =)

    Thanks, Chris

    You can cut paste between Forms and calculations form fields will be copied on.

    You could also write the calculations as a function of document level that has the necessary values to pass as a parameter to the function, and the function returns the result of the calculation. You can insert a form that has these document in another form-level functions and features become functions of the new form document level and you can then delete the inserted pages and keep level document functions.

    The document function could be:

    function {BSA (nHeight, nWeight)
    calculate the index of BSA
    nHeight = Number (nHeight);
    nWeight = Number (nWeight);
    return Math.sqrt ((nHeight * nWeight) / 3600);
    } / / end of function of BSA

    The calculation for the 'low' field could then be:

    Event.Value = BSA (this.getField("height").value, this.getField("weight").value);

  • How to do the validation to the record level in multi record block.

    Hello
    I use form 10g. I have a doubt in form 10g. Look, I got multi-record block (10 records).
    In this block, I have a few items of text
    (1) S_NO
    Account_number 2)
    withdraw_amt 3)
    Deposit_amt 4)
    (5) balance_amt.

    These are the fields and sample data that I posted in forms.
    S. n ACC_No - WITHDRAW_AMT - DEPOSIT_AMT - BALANCE_AMT
    1-250 - 1000.00 - 1000.00
    2.------250-----------500.00-------------------------------------------500.00
    3-250 - 2000.00 - 2500.00

    Now, I entered the data manually in all areas...
    But what I need is if I entered the field of deposit in the amount it will add to the old balance and if I add the amount to remove the field that he removed from the old balance automatically.
    Pls tell me what are the possible ways to implement this form...

    Eliane.

    For the calculation of the fields there are some properties, you can define and then let the calculation forms. The WHEN-VALIDATE-POINT-approach will not work, because it increases your balance_amount whenever you change the value.

    But what exactly is the logic for your calculation. It's just: BALANCE_AMT =: DEPOSIT_AMT-: WITHDRAW_AMT?

    If so, create a new database item not in the block, assign Calcaulation-mode of 'Formula', a formula to something like

    NVL(:BLOCK.DEPOSIT_AMT,0)-NVL(:BLOCK.WITHDRAW_AMT)

    Then whenever you change DEPOSIT_AMT or WITHDRAW_AMT, the BALANCE_AMT will be calculated again.

  • Question form: How to get the percentage calculated?

    Hello!

    I have a form that is a Bill as form. I can't get the front total tax, then plug the percentage tax amount (it varies depending on the County, so it cannot be a static number), then adding total before tax plus taxes. HOWEVER, I also need to know what total percentage tax is in the form of $.

    For example:

    BOX A - Total before taxes: $10.00 (calculated by the form of the total above form)

    BOX B - percentage of the tax: 10% (filled by the user)

    BOX C - Total AMOUNT: $ 11.00 (calculated from above)

    What I need too, is:

    BOX - total tax: $1

    Its final form:

    BOX A - Total before taxes: $10.00

    BOX B - percentage of the tax: 10%

    BOX C - total taxes: $1

    AREA D - Total AMOUNT: $ 11.00

    Thank you!

    Is box B a real percentage field, or is it just a body of numbers?

    If the first case, as the custom calculation of box C script enter:

    Event.Value = number (this.getField("Box_A").value) * number (this.getField("Box_B").value).

    If it's the latter, then copy the following code:

    Event.Value = number (this.getField("Box_A").value) * (number (this.getField("Box_B").value) / 100);

    Then set the calculation of the D box as being the sum of area A and area C.

    OK, you can use the following script to custom size for a text field:

    Custom Format script for the text field

    If {(event.value)

    (Event.Value = util.printf("%.2f", event.value / 100) .replace (".", "+");

    }

    This can be expressed in plain language with: If the field is not empty, divide the value by 100, round off the result to the tenth closest and replace the comma with a sign more.

    A script format is used to change what is displayed in the field the value of the underlying field leaving unaltered, so the value of the field can be used in normal numeric calculations.

  • Forms - calculation of percentages are based on the percentages of parent in a tree structure

    Hello

    We have a scenario where we build a tree using a standard package available in oracle forms when new block and fill a tree structure of multi Instance.

    The block is based on a single table.

    The tree is is filled. The problem is with the percentage calculations. As the percentage of the child dependent parent

    PERCENTAGE of PARENT- CHILD LEVEL

    1                101                       0                                 45

    1                102                      0                                  35

    1                103                      0                                   30

    2 201 101 PERCENTAGE OF PARENTS 101

    2 202 101 PERCENTAGE OF PARENTS 101

    2 203 102 PERCENTAGE OF PARENTS 102

    2 204 102 PERCENTAGE OF PARENTS 102

    3 301 201 PERCENTAGE OF PARENTS 201

    You can get the percentages to level 2, level 3.

    I was wondering how this can be done in oracle forms... for example... .to child 201, is the percentage of the 101 level... but level 101 is also filled in the buffer of the block as well as all Level1s...

    All entries are appreciated.

    Thanks and greetings

    The idea is that at the time of execution, we would be able to select "Not ENGAGED" current session data in the database and use it more for treatment.

  • 11 GR 2 forms: display windows calculator on before calling the form?

    I called the windows calculator in my forms through

    AppID: = DDE. App_Begin ('C:\Windows\system32\calc.exe', DDE. APP_MODE_MAXIMIZED);

    DDE. App_Focus (appid);

    which trigger key, but when I press the button the calculator is displayed but not active, I want the calculator should display on the front of my form (call the adapted form).

    I use forms GR 11, 2.

    As mentioned Amatu, what you do will not work as expected when you deploy your application in a production facility.  I suspect that you run the form directly from the form Builder on your local computer.

    To display a calculator to an end user, you'll either need add WebUtil to your application and use the Windows calculator or calculator Java Bean.  The Java Bean option is probably a better because with it, you can actually have the value in the calculator sent to the form.  The disadvantage of the use of a Java Bean, it's that you have to design it.  There are some great examples here:

    http://Forms.PJC.Bean.over-blog.com/article-35505095.html

    With WebUtil, the call might look like this:

    WEBUTIL_HOST. HOST ('calc');

    There is also a non-blocking option which allows the user to have both the open Calculator and still have access to the form.  Using the above, the form will be locked until the calculator is closed.  Refer to the manufacturer for more information about WebUtil, duties and requirements.
