Call Package PL/SQL procedure via a url (prior R12 through "Enabled/pl/sql")
All thePrior R12:
This could be achievied through registration of your 'Package.Procedure' in the ' allowed Web PL/SQL "-screen." " Then the Package.Procedure could be called as: http://find-151.cmcdev.be:8004/pls/find/XXIE_INTERFACE.SHOWINTERFACELOG?p_itemkey=INFILE-454613-3074 & p_interfdef = EDG...
In R12:
I am looking for a way to do it, but after registering the PL/SQL in the table of this way of working always returns: "Page not found".
Someone has additional information on this subject on how to proceed in R12, that I can't find any documentation, examples for this?

Call objects (packages-Pl/SQL procedures) DB of the ADF
Hello
1. How can we call DB procedures/Packages using ADF?
2 are there scenarios describing when to use what Layout? & Also any introduction of layouts in the ADF.
Thank you.Hello
You can expose your PL/SQL package in the form of web services as well and use it on your layout. Check this blog entry on the call of PL/SQL of the ADF, it may be useful

I have attached a screenshot of my form
Thx for all the help.

How to call the PL/SQL of EntityImpl procedure
Hello
I have a page that can create/update visitors. When a new customer is created themselves, a line gets inserted into the database table. I use EO for this feature.
I need to create lines to two or three other table also when a new line is created in the main table. What is the best practice for this feature?
The 2 options that I know:
1 create a trigger on the main table and the appeal of trigger for inserting rows in other tables.
2. call a PL/SQL of EntityImpl procedure after the permanent data is committed to the table. (If this is the best approach, could you please let me know how to get there)
See you soon
AJ
In fact, Java Mail API is included in WLS and JDev, then you can simply add %MIDDLEWARE_HOME%\Oracle_Home\oracle_common\modules\javax.mail_2.0.0.0_1-4-4.jar to your project.

call a pl/sql stored procedure from a report link
Hi all:
I have a report with a link in a column, which you take to another page and passes the values to this page, but also need to link, run a stored procedure before you go to the other page.
In the Forum, I found a case similar to this one, but none of the examples is clear to me that I'm doing this. It seems that the target of the link must be URL, and also I have to call the stored procedure with a javascript function.
My questions are:
-Is the best way to do what I need?
-How should be the syntax of the link that takes me to another page and run the "procedure".
-How and where I put the "javascript" function to execute the "stored procedure".
BDD: Oracle 11 g
Apex 4.1 version
Best regards
GerardHello
Change the link to call an apex.submit procedure. (javascript).
Edit:
I created a basic example.
Region 1 (just so that you can see the value ready):
Select: P27_HIDDEN item_Value
of the doubleRegion 2:
rownum SELECT id, dbms_random.string ('U', 12) sss
of the double
connect by level<=>=>element attributes for ID:
Target: URL
URL: javascript:apex.submit ({request: 'NAVIGATE', value: {'P27_HIDDEN': #ID #}});(P27_HIDDEN is just a hidden item I created)
http://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/Apex/f?p=54920:27
Edit2:
In your case, then you can only have a page based on conditions request = expression1, expression1: NAVIGATE... then a branch of the page to go to the desired page, also with the same conditions
Edit3:
I'm not sure what examples you're talking about, that you provide no link; but you mention calling the stored procedure of javascript, so would probably involve some AJAX, but is not necessary IMO.

Call a PL/SQL stored procedure - data type mismatch
I call a PL/SQL stored procedure from within a procedure of ODI using the specified technique page Cezar and Julien (http://odiexperts.com/how-to-use-plsql-procedures-and-functions-in-odi) and I get the error "Wrong number or argument types»
I tested each of the types of parameters, in that I'm passing and it is the text that is causing the problem. I tried to use 'Text' and 'Alphanumeric' for the data type of the variable of the ODI and so many VARCHAR2 and VARCHAR for the PL/SQL parameter type and I can't make it work.
Is there a trick for passing a string in the ODI PL/SQl?Hello
Ensure
1. to declare/refresh of the variable before call to PL/SQL.
2. If the variable is of "alphanumeric" ODI calling must be attached to apostrophes and prefix with the code project as ' #MYPROJECT. ODI_Var'
3. as parameters you have u who must pass both during the call (IN, OUT, etc.).
Thank you

Call the PL/SQL procedure with in out parameter of OIC clob
Hello
For a few days, I am facing a problem. I have to call the pl/sql procedure with colb parameter out. I use c ++ and OIC (don't ask me why :)).
I use a pl/sql problem test procedure:
create or replace function Test (longField outside clob) return number is
Number of result;
Start
longField: = 'prefix ';
Result: = 12;
Return (result);
end Test;
So I do all the stuff with the connection to the DB,
I prepare the statement: "start: res: = test(:param); end; »
So I OCIHandleAlloc (m_pCtx-> hpEnv,
(void *) & m_hpStatement,.
OCI_HTYPE_STMT,
0,
(NULL);
and
OCIStmtPrepare (m_hpStatement,
m_pCtx-> hpErr,
(...),
(...),
OCI_NTV_SYNTAX,
OCI_DEFAULT);
Before the binding I prepare parameters. For a clob I devote to the lob Locator:
OCIDescriptorAlloc ((dvoid *) m_pCtx-> hpEnv, (dvoid *) & m_pLobLocator,)
(ub4) OCI_DTYPE_LOB (size_t) 0, (dvoid *) 0);
OCILobEnableBuffering (m_pCtx-> hpContext, m_pCtx-> hpErr, (OCILobLocator *) m_pLobLocator);
that I bind parameters using OCIBindByName and OCIStmtExecute statement execution.
I get an error
---------------------------
Microsoft Visual C++
---------------------------
Unhandled exception in... (ORAOCIEI11. (DLL): 0xC0000005: Access Violation.
My question is: is it possible to call the pl/sql procedure with parameter BEAK clob?
If Yes, what steps I need to do to succeed?
Thank you for your response.Hello
Of course, it is possible :)
Show that you are your piece of code that is binding.
Are you sure you had correctly the lob descriptor in the call to bind? -
Why we need to create the package instead of procedure or function in Oracle
Hello
Recently, I attended an interview, they asked,
why we must create the package instead of procedure or function in oracle. Is a specific advantage, if we create together.
I'm not sure. can u tell me please someone.
Thank you and best regards,
Sanjeev.Hello
A part of the oracle documentation.
What is a PL/SQL Package?
A package is a schema object which includes subroutines, variables, and logically related PL/SQL types. Packages have two parts: a specification (spec) and a body. Sometimes, the body is unnecessary. The specification is the interface to the package. It declares the types, variables, constants, exceptions, cursors, and subprograms that can be referenced from outside the package. The body defines queries for the sliders and the code for the subprogrammes.Benefits of the PL/SQL Packages
Packages have a long history in software engineering, offering important characteristics for a reliable, maintainable, and reusable code, often in team for large systems development efforts.Modularity
Packages allow you to logically encapsulate Associates types, elements, and subroutines in a module named PL/SQL. Each package is easy to understand, and the interfaces between packages are simple, clear and well defined. This facilitates the development of applications.
Easier application design
When you design an application, all you need initially is the interface information in the package specification. You can code and compile a spec without his body. Stored subprograms that reference the package can then be compiled as well. You should not set the package body entirely until you are ready to complete the application.
Information masking
With packages, you can specify which types, elements, and subprogrammes are (and accessible) public or private (hidden and inaccessible). For example, if a package contains four subprogrammes, three can be public and one private. The package hides the implementation of the subprogramme private so that only the package (not your application) is affected if the application changes. This simplifies maintenance and improvement. Also, by hiding the implementation details of the users, you protect the integrity of the packaging.
Feature added
Sliders and packed public variables persist for the lifetime of a session. They can be shared by all the subprogrammes that are running in the environment. They allow you to manage data in any of the transactions without storing in the database.
Best performance
When you call a subprogram packaged for the first time, the whole package is loaded into memory. Subsequent calls to related subprograms in package require no disk i/o.
Packets stop cascading dependencies and avoid an unnecessary recompilation. For example, if you change the body of a packaged function, Oracle does not recompile other routines that call the function; These routines only depend on parameters and return value that are declared in the specification, so they are recompiled only if the specification changes.

Call the PL/SQL shell script
Hi all
I've seen several links and options for calling a PL/SQL shell script. I was wondering if there is something like DBMS_SCHEDULER. CREATE_PROGRAM-> executable that calls an external program in 11 GR 2.
Here's what I have to. I have 11 GR 2 database with Dataguard. I have START triggering who begins a DBMS_SERVICE when the role becomes PRIMARY. In the same instance, I would stop the VIP on the former primary database and start the VIP on the new primary database.
Thanks for the advice and assistance.
Jan S.The URL below links to ask Tom. Inside, he talks about creating a Java procedure in your database that allows you to execute commands from the host OS (PL/SQL calls the proc of Java that runs the host command). There are several ways to run the OS commands, but this one is very flexible. I needed to use it for a task that I have who didn't fit one of the other methods very well.

Calling a PL/SQL of BPEL function throws the fault.

I know, it looks like a mistake to JCA adapter, but when I do a synchronization of the table DB to DB with this factory of connections, no problems occur. Problem to generate Java package PL SQL in Jdeveloper
Hello
I have problem to create the java class package PL SQL in JDeveloper.
I use jdeveloper database navigator and right-click on a package and choose generate Java then in the Jpublisher window choose my controller view and accept other default values.
I call methods in the generated class in the Action of a button in my JSP page, but when I click the button it throws null pointer exception! I Fund one of the generated method return null and it lead to this exception.
protected DefaultContext __tx = null;
public DefaultContext getConnectionContext() throws SQLException {}
If (__tx == null) {}
__tx = (getConnection () == null)? DefaultContext.getDefaultContext (): new DefaultContext (getConnection ());
}
Return __tx;
};
public connection getConnection() throws SQLException
{
If (__onn! = null) return __onn;
ElseIf (__tx! = null) return __tx.getConnection ();
ElseIf (__dataSource! = null) __onn = __dataSource.getConnection ();
Return __onn;
}
I'm trying to generate the class in the model project and create DataControl to it and use the action method, but noting the change and I get null pointer again!
JDeveloper Versino = 11.1.1.7.0
I would like to ask you another question: why generate java packaging at all?
Where you want to call the package?
Back to your question: you should see the code as
Public Sub setDataSourceLocation (String dataSourceLocation) throws SQLException {}
javax.sql.DataSource dataSource;
try {}
Class cls = Class.forName ("javax.naming.InitialContext");
Object ctx = cls.newInstance ();
Meth java.lang.reflect.Method is CL. GetMethod ("search", new class [] {String.class});
dataSource = (javax.sql.DataSource) meth.invoke (ctx, new Object() {"java: comp/env /" + dataSourceLocation});
setDataSource (dataSource);
} catch (Exception e) {}
again throw java.sql.SQLException ("data source initialization error in" + dataSourceLocation + ":" + e.getMessage ());
}
}
in the generated code. This code search a data source (that you have defined for example on the Weblogic Server) by calling the method
setDataSourceLocaltion("jdbc/HRConnDS");
That look to the top of the n data source stores in the class variable.

Through the Oracle BI Presentation Services filters go URL via a URL
Hi expert,
We ara uses a function called "filters to the Oracle BI Presentation Services go URL via a URL."
However, we are facing a problem that how to pass the value "all" in the reports.
For example:
We have a command prompt that contains some values:
All the
China
America
..... (lots of data)
In Url go:
When you click a value:
Saw.dll? Go & Path = / Shared/Test/SB2 & Action = Browse & P0 = 1 & P1 = eq & P2 = Customers.Region & P3 = 1 + China (it's a correct result which display the data of China)
When users click any value:
Saw.dll? Go & Path = / Shared/Test/SB2 & Action = Browse & P0 = 1 & P1 = eq & P2 = Customers.Region & P3 = nqgtac 1 + "*) (*" (our result shows all the data, but does not show any results) ")"
We know reports don't have all the data, so it displays no data.
How to implement this requirement?
Are you facing the same issue? I thank.OK, got it.
In your case means "(tous les choix)" in the prompt of the ordinary. "In this case, try don't past not any value for columns in the url, it should be something like
Saw.dll? Go&path=/shared/test/SB2&action=navigate&p0=1&P1=EQ&P2=customers.region
In this case for P3 is going to be all the choices
You must validate the values selected to submit the form.OR GOOD
You can move % using one of these coasters that documented such conditionsCANY contains one (values & P3).
call contains all (values & P3).
as you type % 25 instead of the usual % wildcard. See the following examplesPublished by: svee on August 6, 2012 16:59

extract the package and the procedure name in the code
In my treatment of exceptions, I need to register the name of package and procedure I have the exception. How can I get these two names without manually coding the names?
Thanks to anticipiationA better option is to get the package name and the line number
An even better option is to use the pl/scope (when you are in 11g (not sure about 10g)):
SQL> alter session set plscope_settings='identifiers:all' / Session altered. SQL> set serverout on SQL> create or replace package pkg as procedure p1; procedure p2; end pkg; / Package created. SQL> create or replace package body pkg as procedure get_scope (obj varchar2, line int) as begin for c in (select rpad (lpad (' ', 2 * (level - 1)) || name, 20, '.') || ' ' || rpad (type, 20) || rpad (usage, 20) identifier_usage_contexts from user_identifiers t where level != 1 start with line = get_scope.line and object_name = obj connect by usage_id = prior usage_context_id) loop dbms_output.put_line (c.identifier_usage_contexts); end loop; end get_scope; procedure p1 as begin null; end p1; procedure p2 as begin get_scope ($$plsql_unit, $$plsql_line); end p2; end pkg; / Package body created. SQL> exec pkg.p2 P2................ PROCEDURE DEFINITION PKG............. PACKAGE DEFINITION PKG............. PACKAGE DECLARATION PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
