Camera Raw 7 slow to exploit CS6 settings.

I've upgraded to Photoshop CS6 and I'm having a problem with the camera raw settings.

When you load a batch of images in camera raw, fine, then after that some images were adjusted everything slows down. Adjustment controls take 1 to 3 seconds to activate if clicked.

Suggestions welcomed.

Have you tried:

Setting Camera Raw Cache (currently 10 gb)

Hi Adriana,

I get slowdowns in the multiple category of seconds, sometimes with as little as a picture, but still with 10 or more. For example, to load 10 raw files from nikon d800, start going to the bottom of the line setting WB, shadow, highlight, black, etc., and by the 3rd picture, I guarantee that you will be having to wait one or two seconds before you see your adjustments redesign on the main image. After that, I usually use the burning simple adjustment brush, ducking, for most of the faces, or darkening of zones distracting. Then delays really increase. Almost, I can't use the brush because I have to wait that long for the setting is displayed on the preview. I have automasking on almost always. But really, fine tuning your image by nothing more than setting WB, shadows, reflections, etc. and after a few images, you will see some slowdown. My system specs are above. I agree that the quality is better, but currently I use cs5.1 for all my work with the exception of a few images I really wanted but more exposed, so I get cs6 and managed to save, otherwise I do not use my new expensive software at all because it takes forever! I haven't been back yet because I hope you will fix it, and also, an image, that he recorded for me was worth the cost of updating, so on that I guess we are still.

I work with Lightroom 4.4; Camera Raw 7.4 and Photoshop CS6 13.0.6. Last month I bought a new camera Nikon D810, when trying to open files with this software I'm told that the files are not compatible with this version. I have updated their until I could, but still I can not work with my new file format. What is the solution?

You must update your version of Lightroom to 5.6 or newer to support the native file of the NAVE of the Nikon D810. Take a look at this page for more information on when a particular camera support has been added to Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

  • During the installation of camera Raw 9.1 (Mac, with CS6) Photoshop seems to only show Camera Raw version 8.7 even though it said installation was successful?

Hello: anyone can tell me why when I install Camera Raw 9.1 (Mac, with CS6) Photoshop seems to only show Camera Raw version 8.7 even though it said installation was successful?

Bruce - thanks. I'm not sure you've seen this, but I looked on the "Update" menu on my laptop and updated the application manager. Who did the trick. I opened the Camera Raw 9.1 download successfully and it was installing on my hard drive, but without the CS 6 update, it was not to find the right place to go. This issue is now resolved, and updated the latest watch information box.

    Thank you!

  • Advice please: Photoshop (Camera Raw) run slow the new Macbook Pro

Hi, last week my old Macbook 2012 Pro 13 "(8 GB of Ram, 2.9 GHz, 750 GB of storage) is dead so 2 days ago I replaced it with a new Macbook (2015) Pro 13" (8 GB of Ram, 128 GB of storage).

I had heard that this computer would be the same if not faster to run Photoshop for me edit my photos (photography being my work part-time). The computer seems to work fine, until I opened about 100 photos Raw in Photoshop CS6 (Adobe Camera Raw), while when zooming with emphasis on my photos to check there was a significant (up to 4 seconds) lag between pressing the shortcut keys to perform a zoom and zoom that really happens. In addition, there was noticeable delay when changing the balance of whites by the sliders. I had none of these problems on my previous Macbook Pro, photoshop just seemed instantaneous. Then I was sure my CS6 has been fully updated, had the same problem, including the offsets when you use the sliders (white balance, exposure, etc.). Then I uninstalled and reinstalled my photoshop CS6, nothing has changed. I then downloaded a 7 day trial of CC in Photoshop to see if the last "photoshop" had the same problem, which was the case.  Finally, I took the computer to the store and they wiped and re installed my CS6 on it, nothing had changed.

Sorry for the story back for a long time, but I was wondering if anyone else had similar problems, or if it seems you good? I'm just afraid that this new laptop should be the same, if not more quickly on photoshop, but he is underperforming compared to a Macbook which is 4 years older. I understand that it may not seem like a big deal, but when you work with as many photos as I do, such as small lag like this can add hours on my time of the edict.

I'm pretty convinced that it is the new laptop is defective, but nothing has yet come with diagnosis, so it would be good to know if it is something that I should wait when photoshop is put on a new Macbook Pro like mine. Thanks a lot for your help

  • Action requiring a Camera Raw as a filter will not work in CS6. [was: Camera Raw Plugin will not be installed]

I asked this question yesterday on the forum, and the answers I got were not useful.  This forum has decided to mark my question as answered and he did NOT.

Re: No Camera Raw filter in CS6

I still have the problem.  According to Adobe, I should be able to make the plugin work for CS6, in accordance with this link... Installer Camera Raw Adobe Photoshop CC and CS6

I did everything it said to do, (several times)... and it still does not work.  Please help me.  And PLEASE don't mark my question 'answered' until it is actually responded.

    Different question.

The Action requires that Camera Raw as a filter (in the menu Filter) which is only available with the versions of Photoshop Cloud (CC).

As explained in your other thread, Camera Raw is available as a plug-in for CS6 only so that you can open Raw files and edit. Camera Raw takes place automatically as soon as you try one open a Raw file.

In CC, Camera Raw is also available as a filter (in the menu filter in Photoshop) - who depend on this Action. It won't work in CS6 because Camera Raw is not available as a filter in CS6.

In other words, the Action is not compatible with the CS6. It only works with CC.

  • CS6 Camera Raw not updated

I am just crossing the CS6 platform (from cs5 after doing an adobe cleaner) in windows XP in order to give it a try before I update my laptop at the end of the summer. My new hardware of the camera is a Nikon D3200. I installed CS6 trial and fully updated via the adobe application manager.

When I try to open the D3200 Raw files I get a dialog box saying "Camera Raw can't open this file" and ordered to update me. When I go into file > update the update is grayed out, as he is not able to be selected.

When I open a JPG file in adobe Camera Raw it shows at the top of the version 7.0.

I downloaded the latest DNG that is compatible with Windows XP SP3, which is 8.3, and I keep getting error messages indicating
««Pdapp.exe"«the entry point procedure InitializeCriticalSectionEx is not found in Kernel32.dll dynamic link library»»

And then Adobe Application Manager appears upwards saying "Failed update - updates cannot be applied" with this explanation

"This patch is not applicable to you. Please check the updates from the Help menu on your product to see a list of the latest available updates. "And he ends by telling me to contact adobe if the problem persists.

Here are two different installers for camera raw 8.3 and photoshop cs6.

If one does not work, try the other.

  • CS6 Camera Raw 9.1.1 didn't brush filter graduation

    Hi all

I found a post similar to my request on this forum but it is 2 years old and ACR 8.6. I am running version 9.1.1 and there is no brush under graduation filter feature. that I'm missing something or because of the CS6?

    Thank you

    Shad2016-03-11_1447.png

There are several new features that are not included in Camera Raw 9.1 running Photoshop CS6. The last few updates that apply to Camera Raw for PS CS6 included in favour of new cameras, but no new features. And I think the brushes of the progressive filter is one of the features that has not been available.

  • CS6 does not update to Camera Raw 9.4

    Hello

When I try to open a picture of LR6 CS6, it says I have to update my camera raw to 9.4.

I currently have 9.1 in my Photoshop.

When I click Update in Photoshop CS6, it says that everything is up to date.

I went to the Adobe site and downloaded CameraRaw_9_4.pkg and installed successfully.

I open Photoshop CS6, but it is still stuck in Camera Raw 9.1

    What I've done wrong?

I have 5K iMac running El Captitan.

    Thank you in advance.

Camera Raw is only compatible with CS6 up to version 9.1.1

Adobe Announces the final Camera Raw update for owners of CS6: Digital Photography Review

If you need these later versions for compatibility with your new camera, then you will need to either:

    1. Join the cloud, or
    2. Use Lightroom 6 to open Raw files and save them in a format that can be read CS6, or
    3. Download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all of the Raw files to DNG, and then change the DNG files in CS6. An extra step for you, but no extra costs.

  • Settings the Camera Raw does not Photoshop

I'm going to bridge to open my CR2 files in Camera Raw. I do all the settings I want and then when I save or open in Photoshop, all settings apply with the exception of the reduction of noise! Everything goes no matter if I open it in Photoshop or simply click "Done" and return to the bridge. My noise reduction does not follow... When I open the image in Camera Raw again, the noise reduction is still all there. What is going on?!
