  Hello. I have the Canon 6 d and Photoshop CS6. Recently, I installed photoshop and have tried to import pictures from my camera to change. Whenever I try to import the photos (via file > open) an error message that says "Photoshop cannot open the file. "Make sure you have the latest version of the plug-in camera RAW. I've rechecked everything and I have all the latest software of Camera RAW in addition to fill all the updates on my computer (MacBook Pro 17-inch, version 10.10.5)

  Does anyone have any ideas as to why I am having this problem or how to fix?

  It is actually both a Lightroom and Photoshop Elements problem. The version of Lightroom you are using search Camera Raw 9 to make sure that the image is properly translated when it transfers from Lightroom to Photoshop Elements. Lightroom can see that you have only the version of camera raw. Lightroom notifies you as well as the transition between Lightroom and elements might not transfer all adjustments using Lightroom. So, it should give a free choice either way you or edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments. The second option is the one you should choose. Then Lightroom will create a TIF or PSD file (depending on your external editing options) and send this file to the elements. The only way you can completely solve this problem is to have a version of Photoshop Elements, which is fairly new to use the same version of camera raw that Lightroom is looking for. If you don't want to upgrade your version of elements, then you should choose the option to edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments.

  Camera Raw is used when you transfer the file from Lightroom to elements to translate the raw settings and create an image that can be edited in the elements. By itself without camera raw, Photoshop Elements cannot change raw images. The image must be converted before its opening in Photoshop Elements.

  A newer version of the CC times and Camera Raw will not be updated on my iMAC and Macbook Pro both running latest versions of Maverick and creative cloud...   I used CC updated to Lightroom and Photoshop for the current versions (5.5 and CC2014 respectively) but the Camera Raw is always maintained at 8.4 and gives me a warning message whenever I have try and edit an image in LR to Psalm Creative Cloud App says that applications are ongoing and when you use the control for option updates in CC2014 he said day.

  Had the same problem with 8.4 Raw and medium around him was to manually update the Raw file in the respective location.   Unfortunately, I don't remember what places and have not found a link to download the file updated yet.

  I tried Adobe online support, but their team of 'specialist' doesn't seem to work the same hours I am available (despite being a large international company )

  Any help gratefully received!

  • Exit and restart the app CC

    • Mac OS: Go to the Applications folder and open the Adobe Creative Cloud alias.
    • Windows 7: click Start > all programs > Adobe Creative Cloud
    • Windows 8: open the Adobe Creative Cloud application from the start screen.
  • Click the applications tab in Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Click applications, then older Version

  

  • Your installed product of CC would be listed, click on install the menu drop-down and then select the CC 2014 to install.
  • After successful Installation, update your product

  Let me know if you are still not able to update ACR.

• LR3 DNG edit in Photoshop does not open in Camera Raw

  I have LR 3.2 64 bit and v12.0.1 CS5 and Camera Raw 6.2 on Windows 7 64bits. I do 95% of my editing in Lightroom. Sometimes I choose 'Edit in Photshop' and in the past a DNG or CR2 image open in Camera Raw (at least I think that's the case). Recently however, I have noticed that if I have a DNG or a CR2 file, right click and select 'open in Photoshop... '. ' open the file directly in Photoshop, not in Camera Raw. I tried to delete my LR3 preference, clear my preferences of CS5 and deleting both, but the behavior does not change. Does anyone have an idea to explain this?

  There is nothing wrong with the behavior you are because the image is not supposed to Open in Camera Raw, nor should he.

  ACR use your GPU, perform the surface 4 pro has all its windows 10 updates and firmware updates.  Bad CC is updated and you ACR 9.2.  Usage menu help > about Plig-ins > Camera raw.  If you have 9.2 RTAs use Edit menu > Preferences > Camera Raw and try disabling support GPU.

  CS5 is several versions back and does not the recent Camera Raw updates in native mode, you can, however, use the converter DNG (Digital Negative) to convert your images to DNG and CS5 format should be able to open those. • Lightroom does not recognize my. RAW RW2 files on new install

  I installed Lightroom on my laptop to be able to edit and view pictures on my next trip. I was as well store the images and the Lightroom catalog on an external drive for access on both my desktop and laptop. However, Lightroom seems unable to edit or export my RW2 (RAW) files and said that "the file is not recognized by the assumption of raw in Lightroom.' when I open them to develop. I took these picture on my Panasonic DMC - G7 to the RAW and JPEG formats.

  Lightroom is the 6.0 version, this version does not open your camera RAW. You need a newer version as shown. I gave you the link to download the update of.

  Your Nikon 5100 requires a minimum of 6.4 ACR.

  The ACR, which is installed with CS5 default is 6.0.

  You must update your ACR to the latest version available for CS5 - ACR 6.7
