Can I add a page in a tab control dynamically

Hello

is it possible to add a page in a tab control dynamically

Thank you

Jay

Hi Jay,.

don't you can´t, because it s an enum. But you can first create all the pages you need and hide not used.

It will be useful.

  • Change of color of the page in a tab control programmatically

AFAIK, you can manually change the colors of the individual pages in a tab control (if you have the property allow several colors set to True), but you can't do it programmatically.

For my particular application, there is only a single page color, I need to change, so I can get the effect by setting the colors I want manually and activating / deactivating allow multiple colors on the control tab as needed, but I wonder if there is a better solution out there.

    Thank you

    Kyle

    Of course, you can:

Not sure if you try to change the background or foreground color.

  • How can I add a page control tab at run time?

    Hello

I'm trying to add pages in the control tab in run mode, but I can't because it must be in edit mode.

Here are the steps that I have:

    1. run the application.

    a. the application reads a txt file and it translated into a table with the number of rooms; [201, 202, 203, 204]

    b. the application takes this array and puts in place of the pages after how it is in the table and names must be the same as the numbers. (Now the program will start to collect information to fill the pages.

    c. the user can now change between pages. (Each page will have a table that will be updated with new information at run time)

Is this possible or have you another solution?

    Grateful for answers.

No, you cannot add pages, just as it is not really supported to add commands or the lights either (well, unless you plan to have always installed LabVIEW and not only the execution engine. If this is the case you can self-generate tabs etc. with VI Scripting pages).

You can use an image control to "simulate" additional tabs, the orders or the lights, but normally it is possible to find a different and easier solution.

In your case, it seems that all the pages have the same controls on them, it would be just the content that would change. So what you really want is a way to navigate between the 'rooms' availability You could add a list next to the tab control box, fill the list box with the availability of the rooms and the value of the list box to select the content to display on the tab of single page beside him, or you can use a menu drop-down. If you do not like these alternative presentations of the room options then you can generate the tabs in an image control and have a tab control page below which showed the content of the tab selected in the image control. That's a lot of work.

Another option would be to create Let's say 10 pages in edit mode and then have the arrows under the control that allowed the user to navigate through the available rooms in groups of 10 (still is not really necessary to individual indicators on each page you don't need to make them on page... something to get this must simply move the indicators and controls on the tab control with the) arrow keys Cela will give you a black frame behind them, but in run mode, it will look as if they are on each page). In this way, you could have the appearance tab and navigation without having to simulate the tabs with an image control. The fact that many other graphical interfaces have such navigation of two levels means that the user will still find intuitive to use.

  • How can I add two pages just before page 7 of the book, which will change all the page numbers that follow?

    Hello

I'm close to finishing a book of 257 pages.  All pages are numbered automatically down, and I spent a few weeks carefully constructed an Index at the end of the book that has all the right page numbers listed for everything.  So whatever I do, I can't change my page numbers.

But at this late stage, I would like to add a few epigraphs (quotations) in four or five places (I just got this idea today, I'm afraid).

Is it possible to add a few pages here and there (I will add two pages at a time, I know, or he'll hit all the pages that follow, half of them designed to be left, and half designed to be on the right - off) that are not numbered, and that will not affect the numbering of the following pages?

    Kind regards

    Malcolm

It is not Automatic way. If you are ready to have unnumbered pages which are not included in the number of pages, you can, for each page the inserted value

    (1) select the first page after the pages will be added

    (2) in the menu pages palette, use the Options Section and number and the page number of started with the value what it is already. In this way, adding pages will not affect the numbering.

    (3) in order to avoid conflicts with the new pages page number, set their numbering on something else as 1,2,3. (as i, ii, iii, for example)

For later use, you can configure your index with the indexing of InDesign tools, if a false problem, as you would have been able to add the pages and then re - automatically generate a correct index.

  • How can I add a page under certain conditions?

    Hello

I'm trying to find a way to add a page to my form under certain conditions. I tried to create this sequel to 'action', but failed to locate the correct action.

To sum up, I am trying to add a separate page to my existing form with instructions when a specific check box is selected. The separate page is text only and does not form any entries/field. Is there a relatively simple way to accomplish this task?

You can enter the code in the script editor. If you do not show you can get it by pressing on (on PC) Ctrl + Shift + F5.

  • How can I add different page headers on odd and even pages?

    Hello.

I use Indesign CS5.5 to create a printed book. I would like to add a page for every even page header and a different page header to every odd page. And have the ability to hide the header on some pages. Someone knows how to do this?

    Thanking you.

You must create a master page, spread to the side of the pages. If you apply this all of your pages, items that you apply to the master will then be applied to each of your pages. If you want to include dynamic elements, (e.g. Page number) you can do going on Type > insert special character > markers > current Page number.

All the pages you do not want the header on, you cannot apply the master page.

  • Can I add a page on my site without the site?

I need to add a page to my site, which was created using GoLive CS.

Can I do this without opening or to work with throughout the site? In other words, can I simply create a page and upload it to become a part of my site?

The pages I want to add will not actually be seen on the Web. I only use them to create art that I can then incorporate into an Outlook e-mail message. (This avoids having this show of art as an attachment.)

If I drag an outgoing email from my Mac inside art, it becomes an attachment, which is what I want to avoid.

If I drag art to a message out on the Web, it does not become an attachment.

Can I just create a page and upload it to become a part of my site? If I have to do this by using the entire site, then I know how to do.

    N ° do not.

In GoLive, you must ALWAYS work within the sitefile. You add the sitefile wihtin page and then work with it. If you have all kinds of links and functions will stop working and the GeneratedItems file will land in the wrong place.

  • Program switching a page on the tab control

    Hello

I use LV8.6 and I have a menu drop-down selector to choose what unit I want to test.  This allows the page that controls the unit and disables others.  What I want to do is when the unit is selected, the page is enabled (which I did) and the page to be selected and view.  Does anyone know how this is done?

    Thank you

    Martin

Simply change the value of the tab control. Send 3 and it'll show the 3rd page. If you create a constant, that it works as an Enum and will display the names of page as options.

  • I can't resize any object inside a tab control and control of the tab itself

    Hi all

Since this morning I noticed that I can't always resize the object placed inside a tab control or the control tab itself.

I have a few objects (controls, indicators, etc.) outside of the tab control, and they are resizable (I can see the dark blue squares and I am able to adjust the object); Instead, any object inside the tab control is still not resizable (when I select the dark blue boxes are not visible and I can't access the properties of the object by clicking with the right button of the mouse over it). If I have access to the properties of the object to the block diagram, the appearance of her-> frame size is gray and I can't change the size fields.

It seems that something was changed when I try to adjust the minimum window size and appearance of windows in the proposals of VI, but I restore the previous values...

How can I solve this problem?

Sure, tab control is not locked.

If the tab control is locked that resize is not possible

  • Boolean controls on a Page in a tab control

    Hello everyone.

I have some problems with a tab control in a fairly complex program implemented by another (more experienced) developer. The basic configuration for this tab control has several tabs to control various aspects of a system (engine installation, video installation, settings, etc.). Go to a specific tab and pressing Ctrl-F8 displays a password prompt, which then displays the menu "Advanced". The Advanced menu is a hidden in the same tab control page. The Advanced menu contains several Boolean controls that allow access to the various advanced features (these pages are also hidden on the same tab control pages), however, none of the Boolean controls work. By clicking on the controls does not cause the button appears pressed, when you run the program as a compiled executable, or while on the face before of the VI in LabView. Hidden pages appear as dark gray. I confirmed that the same is true for all pages hidden in the tab control. I think my problem is with the LabView version that I use. The program is designed in 8.0, while I am currently using 8.2. I was not able to find any references to such a question between the versions, and I'm kinda at a loss on how to address them. Version 8.2 is the only version that I currently have access to, otherwise I would use version 8.0, to see if that corrects the problem.

Programs that have been previously compiled by the original designer do not work properly (hidden pages, when displayed, appear always dark gray), but even to compile the results of the source code unmodified in the same problems for me.

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I would look at these problems with the original designer, but he's currently on vacation for a month and I want to get this resolved.
