Can I copy my favorites in El Capitan Yosemite cards?

I have a new machine of El Capitan... How can I move my favorites of Apple from the old machine to Yosemite maps?

You could try to make a copy of these two files:

/ Home/Library/Preferences/com. Apple.MapsSupport.plist

/ Home/Library/Preferences/com. Apple.mediaaccessibility.plist

And transfer them to the same folder on the other computer.

Note that your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.

The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.
You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: open with) If you do not create this file yourself.

The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

  • HX400V - Help! -How can I copy photos from internal memory to SD card or computer?

I'm mystified by the simple procedure to copy pictures from the internal memory to an SD card in my Sony HX400V, or at my office. I see nothing in the instruction manual or online on this subject. Looking for info on the previous model, the HX300, I discovered a 'Settings - memory card' function, which doesn't seem to exist under 'Settings' for the HX400V. If anyone can help?

Unlike the HX300 the HX400 has no internal memory.

If you take a picture with a HX400 who doesn't have a card inserted, it will store the photo in its buffer, and when you insert a memory card, the HX400 will immediately transfer the photo in the buffer on the memory card. If you take a picture of a second before you insert a memory card, the first photo will be scrapped and the second photo with stored in the buffer.

  • How can I copy Photos from an Officejet 7500 a card inserted in the printer to the computer?

I have a HP 7500 a all-in-one Officejet.  I have an SD card with photos on it is inserted into the slot of the printer.  I'm under 64-bit Windows.

I can only view pictures and print on the printer.  It won't let me transfer photos from the printer to the computer.

All other HP printers I had always let me use the SD card as a mass storage device and I could transfer files back using file manager in Windows.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

Yes, you can do so by mapping the SD card as a network storage device. Please follow the instructions below:

  • How can I copy all my favorites from my pc to my netbook

My PC OS is Windows 7 Professional. My Netbook OS is Windows 7 Starter. I use my Netbook only when traveling and therefore do not want to synchronize it with my PC. I tried the methods described in using Firefox. Using the question %adddata%\Mozilla\Firefox\profiles on my PC, I found that the bookmarks on my PC are in C:\Users\WalterSeaton\Appdata\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\dq7osm85.default. Research produces the same location of file on my Netbook, except that the last section is \r05b5pau.default. Can I copy my favorites from the PC to my Netbook by 1. Copy C:\Users\... \dq7osm85.default
on an external hard drive. 2. change its name in C:\Users\... \r05b5pau.default; 3 3 coller paste from the external hard drive to my Netbook, replace the existing file?

Or is there another way which does not seem to be covered by the responses of 'help '.
    Thank you very much

    Hi WalterSeaton, you wrote:

1 how the Netbook picks up the HTML file stored on my desktop PC? They are not connected. Can I copy the HTML file to an external hard drive and from there on the Netbook Office? And then use IMPORT?

    Yes.

    2. According to the help files, when export you bookmarks as HTML erase you Firefox - is that correct? Because, if so, I can't use your advice, because I still need my favorites on my PC.

This is not true. We have to correct that. Where you do not see that?

  • I have a Robin Didital DPF - 710 photo frame, but there was not a usb port, how can I transfer photos from comp to a memory card

I HAVE A DIGITAL ROBIN PHOTO FRAME DPF-710 FOR WHICH THE CARD MEMORY IS 1.0 GB, THE PROBLEM IS I WOULD ADD MORE PHOTOS ON THE CARD BUT DO NOT KNOW HOW TO IT AS THE IMAGE HAS NO USB PORT AND I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE PICTURES ON MY COMPUTER TO THE MEMORY CARD, COULD YOU PLEASE ME TELL HOW.

I guess just that your computer has a media player?

(If no drive media... Connect the device to your PC
via USB cable and turn on... Reach... Start / computer...
your camera must be listed with a drive letter.)

If you go to... Start / computer... media player should
be recognized as one or more removable disks... it can
    have several drive letters.

    Removable disk (e :))
    Removable drive (g)
    Removable disk (h :))

Left click the drive letters... When you identify the drive
Letter for the media player... (it will be the one making
does not launch a dialog box that says: "Please insert a disk".
    in the drive? ») ...

    Follow these steps...

Navigate to the folder in which the photos are... Open it and
Reach... Edition/select all... right click the selected (highlighted)
Group and from the menu choose... Send to / removable
Disk?... Or... left, click on a folder and do the same thing.

Only a limited number of files can be copied to the root
Directory of the card... if you transfer lots of photos...
they must be in one or more folders. If you receive one
error that says: "cannot copy xxxx (xxxx): the directory '.
the file cannot be created. » .. There's too many files in
the root directory of the memory card.

FWIW... the camera may not recognize the photos if they
have been published in some way, but they will always be on the
memory card for use by other means.

  • I'd appreciate it really any assitance on this, I can't save my favorites due to a failure of the system. I can access the drive crashed trhe data. Do my resident Favorites in a file that I can copy and then replace in a new installation, if so, where is

Windows broke down and I need to reinstall Vista. So I can make a backup of my favorites, but I guess that there is a file somewhere on my crashed disk that bears this detail. If so, can I copy this file and replace in my new installation of firefox. If this file exists, I would like to know the name of the file that I need to copy and that I could find it in the directory.

The anonymous gives path is for Vista not XP.

The "places.sqlite" file is the file that contains your bookmarks and history. It is located in your profile folder.

    See:
    http://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/profiles#How_to_find_your_profile
Display the hidden files and folders

In XP, the path is usually:
    C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default
("xxxxxxxx" is a unique alphanumeric identifier)

When you copy data from your OLD profile to your NEW profile, copy individual FILES (some require more than 1 FILE). DO NOT copy the entire OLD PROFILE folder; It will not work.

See: recovery of data from an old profile

  • How can I copy my PC A favorite t PC B?

I fill a new PC with the software. Is there an easy way to copy my favorites Firefox from existing to new PC? In the past was the only way was to update my favorites of IE, copy them, and then install Firefox and import IE Favorites.

For bookmarks and history, according to the article I have a hyperlink copy the places.sqlite in the profile folder, replacing the file that is there.

JSON backup files must be restored. HTML files are imported.

  • How can I copy the format of a sentence or paragraph on another phrase or a paragraph?

When I copy and paste a section of an article to another, I want to change the format of the section imported to accompany the rest of the article. In Outlook or MS customer, I would use the brush for this icon. How can I copy the format of a section in Thunderbird in another section?

    Thank you very much.

I would like to use stationery to say my favorite styles, then use 'Paste without shaped' to allow the formatting that is currently in force to apply to the text pasted, not knowing everything already set the imported text. A weakness of Thunderbird in its native form, is that it tends to forget to insert your policy chosen by default etc.. The add-on stationery that heals by making your explicit requirement.

Messages sent by users of Thunderbird often appear ugly serif text (IMHO), what is lacking Outlook, Thunderbird forgets to say that you have chosen a sans serif font when composing.

Without stationery, all your efforts to align your text can come were reduced to nothingness.

  • How can I copy Pages and Numbers to ICloud by car?

I just upgraded my IPhone 6 Plus and my IMac (running OS X El Capitan) the reader to ICloud.  I thought that my documents Pages and Numbers would be automatically copied in ICloud drive.  They were not.  How can I copy my documents Pages, and existing Numbers to ICloud drive?  I have read some material, and none of them explain how to copy my documents in ICloud without removing them from my computer.  Is it possible to have documents in ICloud and on my IMac (like ICloud library works)?

Thanks to all those who can help you.

Move them to the folders of Pages and telephone numbers in the drive in your Finder to iCloud.

  • My computer has been updated and deleted firefox. Can I recover my favorites?

I updated my computer to the original terms, but documents etc. were kept. Firefox has been removed. I reinstalled it in beta. Can I recover my favorites thanks to sync? If I try to connect to synchronize I just get a blank page. I am running windows 8.1 on a Sony vaio SVF15n2b4e.

So I double-cliquiez this one first to display the contents of the folder. There should be a few files of dozens of parameters, and a subfolder named BookmarkBackups.

You will find many files including the date and the number of bookmarks that are incorporated in the name of the file in the subfolder BookmarkBackups. I suggest you copy these to a more convenient location, such as your Documents folder.

Then, from Firefox, use the restore function. Note that this will replace any bookmarks you have added since you have reinstalled this new Firefox. If those who criticize, you can do the steps 'optional '.

    (1) optional - export all new bookmarks you added. See: Firefox bookmarks export to a HTML file for backup or transfer bookmarks.

    (2) restoration of the backup that you copied into your Documents folder (in the recovery menu, at the bottom, choose a file): restoration of the bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer

    (3) If you have created an HTML file in step 1, re - import only: import bookmarks to an HTML file.

    (4) If you have imported a file in step 3, you can move the Bookmarks imported to the desired location using the dialog library (Ctrl + Shift + b).

    A little luck?
